I've entered a bunch of cool rooms, but I'm not sure how people have gotten the rooms (and some of the things in them), or how the teleporter work, or how you can lock turnstiles to close off a room (or part of). I did get the skull room from the Kellogs pirate game.
Can someone point me to a primer on how to manage rooms? Also I get booted from a lot of rooms, and I'm not sure why. I'm not being offensive or anything. I just want to explore some of the rooms to see.
I went into one room that said only "cast members" were allowed. I'm sure they were talking about "virtual cast members" and I haven't heard of such a thing anywhere else. A whole group of people were locked out and booted.
I think once I get some info, I will create an outcast room for all those that get locked out or booted from these other rooms.

Welcome to VMK and the forums!
I've entered a bunch of cool rooms, but I'm not sure how people have gotten the rooms (and some of the things in them), or how the teleporter work, or how you can lock turnstiles to close off a room (or part of). I did get the skull room from the Kellogs pirate game.
There are a lot of details in the questions here. {: You may want to search on VMK GUIDE which will point to some posts that provide a number of the answers you're looking for. If you still have detailed questions after this, feel free to ask and we can try to answer.

Room owners can boot anyone for whatever reason they wish. This is an unfortunate reality of how VMK is setup. Most rooms make it obvious why the owner would do this - your example of "cast members only" is one possible example. Some room owners boot people to manage the crowds or trying to clear space at the entrance.
Certainly, some people do it because of the power they think they have from doing it, but many times there is a reason, even if you don't understand what it might be.
Enjoy the games!

to get the rooms, at the bottom of the screen, there is something that says shop. then you will find a tab on the top of that window that says rooms .you can buy them there
you can get furniture buy buying it. at esmeraldas, click on the shirt rack and the "shop" window will appear with her catolag
when you buy teleporters, you get too. if you had a friend who you wanted your rooms to be connected, give one to him and have him put it in his room and put the other in your room. its as simple as that
you can lock any turnstile by clicking or double clicking it and do the same to unlock it

Thanks for the info. That at least gives me a start on where to look and what to do.
I'll try and not take the "room booting" personal :)
Usually I try to get away from entrances immediately, if possible.
