this movie looks awesome

I was at universal studios near DLR and the tour guide said they were making the second and third at the same time. We also got to see some of the set from the tiki village scene. Its huge!

I love Orlando Bloom I cant Wait :). When the costumes come out im buying 2 :) and planning to see the movie on the premere(sp) date!

I myself am a huge POTC fan and know that the secoind is done but being tweeked with corrections in some areas and the third one is already underway

yes it is i have seen them working on it because i seen Jhonny Deep behind the sceens well actually talking to people on the Disney Movie Surfers talking to them about how they are workong on the 3 movie that it should be out either later 2006 or early 2007 :):)

Cast Members don't really know anything about VMK unless they play it themselves, though I must agree that the debut of POTC2 could bring out the pirate costumes.

Actually, PotC2 is still filming. They're not expected to be finished 'til March. They'll then take a break to edit #2 (the movie has not been put together fully at all), then they'll go back and start filming #3. That is expected to be done sometime in the fall. They've already filmed *some* stuff for #3, but the bulk of it remains to be done (aka it was *not* filmed a couple years ago; they're still tweaking the script even as they film for #2).

Startoursboy -- I'd probably keep the ending quiet and just have people PM you if they want to know it. It's quite a shocker, so many may not want to have it spoiled.

Late July to be correct, it is coming out with Disney's new p2p POTC online game. Maybe with this new months theme July will be pirates month, complete with a quest (like the thanksgiving one and capture the yeti, not in park) I dont think any of the pirate stuff will come out before the refurbishment of the POTC ride though.

PotC: Dead Man's Chest premieres on July 7, 2006.

However, they're not finished filming. There have been several different circumstances that have left them at *least* a week behind schedule. They were at first expected to have finished filming for #2 by this past December, but things changed and they won't be finished filming #2 'til March.

PotC3 begins in full (there have been *some* scenes filmed already, at the convenience of where the PotC2 filming is located) after they come back from a break in March for editing PotC2. The filming for PotC3 is expected to last through sometime in fall (barring no more unforeseen problems). PotC3 is due out in theaters Summer 2007 (most likely July, to keep with the trend).

Believe me. I've been keeping up on every little aspect of the filming for these movies. I'm on several message boards, including the board for the official fansite, and have been in contact with several people who either have access to the scripts and/or are actually involved in the production of the movies. So I definitely have been keeping on top of things. And as such, I shall be more than happy to post in this thread whenever something new of major importance is learned. New news always helps keep the general public excited.
