Just curious to see some of your totals on how many pirate games you have won. I'm really hoping there are some people who are higher than me (I think I play way too much.) My current games won is about 580.

i won about 70 games

on my recent check i have won about 750 games of pirates myself (i dont count team games)

how can you check?

i won 20, i think, might be 21...

Every so often, it will tell you how many games you have won. I think it is every 20 games.

My latest count was 480, but lately I seem to be losing as many games as I win, so my actual game count would be much higher, lol. Recently, I've been having more fun playing against challenging pirates (like you, RustyCopperPenny!) and improving my skills, so winning does not matter as much to me :).

That happend to me also a few weeks back, and it wasn't even for a special amount of wins. It was like VMK decided to just give current players a big bonus. I just wish they would do it more often.

I am really hoping they eventually increase the amount of credits earned for winning the game. It is so low now compared to the Haunted Mansion game.

It would also be nice if they gave the losers some credits too. I mean, all you have to do playing ghosts is catch 3 of them and you've earned the same amount of credits as winning pirates. Plus I think it would keep more people from exiting during the game while they are losing. Nothing worse than the opposite team saying "lets exit, we cant win." :getlost8:

I also would like to get more credits for playing pirates, but I was worried that if we got more credits for winning, then people would not join games for fun, but would be more selective about who they play with (and also be more likely to boot players), or, as Penny says, quit the game before it was over if they are losing. But if both teams get credits, then people would be more likely to stay in the game, and it would still be fun.

i kind of lost count, but i think i won about 100

those are some really nice ideas for the pirates game :) but i also do it mostly for fun
maybe if they increased the credits earned it would keep the people's motives up and give a little bit of credits for the losing team so they won't feel discouraged

I only won 30 games and after getting the invisibility pin, I quit!! :) The reason why I don't really play is the fact that it doesn't give out a lot of credits.

I think the win count must be goofy. Today I got 40 credits for my 540th win - that just can't be possible, if I had only 480 wins just 5 days ago. I know I play a lot, but I never win that much, lol! I never saw the 500th or the 520th wins, either. But if this brings me closer to the high-paying 600th win, then I'll take it, lol!

So weird! Tonight I got a message that stated I won 1000 credits for winning my 300th game! I'm way past that, but I will gladly accept the credits!

Today I reached a milestone, I guess. For my 580th win, I was awarded 1,000 credits and a blue pirate throne. This was after winning a level 1 game. I know that Penny and Jarrett had already won the blue throne, so I was not too surprised, but #580? How strange, but I'll take it!

I got my 540th win today. I also agree with Penny that it would be nice if all players received points for playing. Playing just against pirate ships can feel like shooting fish in a barrel. It's more fun and rewarding to play against other players. Other players are much more unpredictable. Except for Penny. He's not predictable because he merely sinks everyone in sight. Woot woot, Penny.

It seems like they changed the way they count your number of wins since the credits changed. It feels like they only keep track of your wins in the level 1 and 2 games. I've played lots of level 3 games to get the ice chairs, but I've only gotten messages about reaching an additional win plateau when I'm playing the other levels. Or do the wins only count if there are non-computer pirates on the other side? [Hi Jarrett ;) ]

Wow, Chele, congratulations on all the wins! I still don't understand how the wins are calculated, but Crystalseeker might be on to something. Penny also mentioned once that the wins might be counted separately for each level. I do know that I was recently awarded 1,000 credits for 1100 wins (!) but then on the next day I received another 1,000 credits for a lower number of wins (I can't remember the count, but it was below 1,000 wins). It's quite possible that they were from different levels, lol. I play all the levels quite frequently, and I will now pay more attention when the win count appears.

Woot! The ice craze is over, lol. I DID like the ice, but I did not like how it changed the game. Yes, much of what we predicted came true (lots of booting!), and many people played just to win against boring pirate ships, but on a positive note, it did bring more people to the dock to enjoy the best game on vmk! I'm glad the credits are still here (lol, I don't have to go and chase ghosts to earn more credits), and now that the ice is gone, I agree with Chele that we seem to be going back to playing real games.
