Sdude 01-22-2006, 08:29 PM There is a new hotel opening in WDW but not for awhile they just got done building the little sign that says "Bonnet Creek"
So Now all u Walt disney worlders there is a new place to stay well not yet not for awhile
And alot of CM's say this will be one o the very peacfulest hotels in WDW:CastMem:
SleepyPiglet 01-22-2006, 08:31 PM I don't think Bonnet Creek is new. It's not even owned by Disney.
thegoof 01-22-2006, 08:32 PM Bonnet Creek is not owned by Disney. This was the one piece of land that the guy would not sale to Disney.
PrincessWall 01-22-2006, 08:33 PM I haven't heard of this new hotel.. probably like sleepypiglet said, its not owned by disney.
thegoof 01-22-2006, 08:35 PM I actually drove through the area and it is really funny. There is this fence, and this guy has built everything just hugging the fence.
PrincessWall 01-22-2006, 08:36 PM LOL, weird...
Oranges 01-22-2006, 08:45 PM Bonnet Creek is not owned by Disney. If it was, the sign would say "Disney's Bonnet Creek", which it does not display. If I am not mistaken, I think the Hilton owns it.
The real owner of the hotel purchased land on the resort. Same thing with the DoubleTree Hotel. It is owned by the Hilton, but it is not a Disney owned lodge.
Sdude 01-22-2006, 09:05 PM Wow what everyone said is wrong Rofl it is owned by Disney CM's even said it is owned by us and it does say "Disney's Bonnet Creek Hotel" but ithought u new it was by disney so i said no disney in it
MamaJo 01-22-2006, 09:20 PM Wow what everyone said is wrong Rofl it is owned by Disney CM's even said it is owned by us and it does say "Disney's Bonnet Creek Hotel" but ithought u new it was by disney so i said no disney in it
NO, it is not owned by Disney. This was one piece of land that Disney could not buy and the owners of that land built a hotel on it. It looks like a Disney hotel and they hope of capitalize on that aspect, but it is not disney owned. So, if you stay there, the Disney transportation does not go there.
Oranges 01-22-2006, 09:35 PM It is not a Disney owned hotel. The sign only says "Bonnet Creek", not "Disney's Bonnet Creek".
Facnyface 01-27-2006, 12:47 AM ok erm yes it is owned by disney i first thought it wasn't then i went to Disney like i do mostly every weekend and i investagted and it is not owned by disney... you may also look over my Thread it is titled: Bonnet Creek Resort you will find some helpful information about this and also a neat picture of it :):)

Yes this is a picture of the entrence to Bonnet Creek Resort at Disney World it is the newiest resort of it's kinda and it is actually the only resort on Dinsey Property that is no owned by Disney currenty the owners are leaseing the land from Disney but that is expected to change soon...
PrincessWall 01-27-2006, 01:02 AM So wait, is Disney going to be advertising this as like..a Disney hotel!?!?!! I will never stay there, because why in the world would you want to stay in a hotel with no hidden Mickeys? ;) Anyways, I personally love the Disney atmosphere of their more disney-ish hotels, like Coranado Springs. I dont like Carribean Beach, because its not very disney like.
Facnyface 01-27-2006, 01:08 AM lol no Disney will not advertise until they take over the building which they are in meetings with the Hilton company to decide on what the price it will take for Disney to take it over... Also idk if you have heard of ***lord Palms Resort which is on Disney Property that Resort is also in mettings with Disney to decide weather or not if Disney will buy it or not... Currently Disney has a contract with that company Based out of Tennessee but so far no decision has been made on if Disney will try to buy it or will just keep the contract... and yes i know what you mean my dad used to work for a while in Carribean Beach Resort :):)
PrincessWall 01-27-2006, 01:10 AM Yes, I was wondering what park this resort would be closest to? Like, Animal kingdom, MK,EPCOT etc.... Do you know?
Facnyface 01-27-2006, 01:13 AM yes infact if you go right out to the light where the drive way where it goes back too you can actually see Test Track at EPCOT if you look close enough and you can see Space Ship Earth from any part on the land :):) so i would have to say near EPCOT LOL :):)
prisoner 01-27-2006, 09:25 AM actually the only resort on Dinsey Property that is no owned by Disney
Not exactly true.
The Swan and Dolphin aren't Disney-owned, and are on Disney property.
The "hotel row" near Downtown Disney are all on Disney Property, and none of them are Disney owned.
Oranges 01-27-2006, 11:38 AM it is actually the only resort on Dinsey Property that is no owned by Disney
Not totally true. As priz had stated, the Swan and Dolphin Hotels are not Disney owned, neither is the DoubleTree Resort. It is on Disney property, but Disney does not own it.
BTW, please use periods at the end of your sentences. It will make it less confusing to those who are reading it. Thanks!

Oranges 01-27-2006, 11:41 AM If it was a Disney owned hotel, it would say DISNEY'S Bonnet Creek Resort.
figmentisback 02-02-2006, 06:05 PM This "resort" is a timeshare resort not owned by disney, nor on disney property..
When Walt Disney was purchasing all his land he could not get some pieces, but did not force the owners to sell. this piece of property is bordered on 3 sides by WDW peoperty, and one side by Interstate 4. Thus Disney had to allow the property to have access to it's roads... they do not claim to be owned by disney... they may have disney transportation in the future under a constract.. but they still are an independent time share not on or owned by disney.
besides.. disney doesn't have to have "Disney" on every thing they build...
Appleson 02-02-2006, 06:23 PM to my knowledge, bonnet creek isn't owned by disney. it's part of a timeshare plan, but i'm not sure which one.
figmentisback 02-03-2006, 07:27 PM to my knowledge, bonnet creek isn't owned by disney. it's part of a timeshare plan, but i'm not sure which one.
sorry, keyboard at college is evil and made me say now instead of not...
lol
But it is not owned by disney.. I am sure.. if it was the signs would be normal verses the redish color they are.
