Over the weekend, a NASA spacecraft returned to Earth after a 7 year mission spanning nearly 4.6 billion kilometers. This spacecraft used a special substance to collect bits of comet Wild2.

1. Wat is the name of the spacecraft?
2. Wat is the name of the special substance on board the spacecraft used to collect the bits of comet Wild2?
3. Wat is the density of this special substance?
4. According to NASA, wat else can this substance be used for?

well, i think the name of the spacecraft was Stardust, but i'm not sure

for #2, i believe they used aerogel to collect the comet particles

Thx! I found a link now, but I have another question. What is the name of the space craft. Look at this quote from the link:
"The Stardust spacecraft's Sample Return Canister has arrived at.."
Is the name Stardust or Stardust Sample Canister? Because the title of link is Stardurst Sample Canister Arrives in Houston.

The canister SHOULD just mean that this is a specific part(an important part, or something that was in the ship that they were specifically talking about) of Stardust. I think it should just be Stardust :D At least, that's the way it looks to me :D

By the way, I just read what I said--did that make sense to you? It seemed kind of confusing the way I said it. LOL

ok, if aerogel is the answer, then its density is 3 mg/cm3 (cm3 is supposed to be cubic centimeters, but i can't put the 3 as an exponent).
