Hello, new player here. I did a search and didn't find the answer to my question. I don't really want to join the spoilers group, because the hunt is the fun. But...

I bought my camera and film and set off to find the hidden Mickeys in VMK. However, I am having trouble seeing them even when I am looking directly at them. They look completely invisible to me until I take a photo, as I discovered when I took a photo of some Mickey balloons and lo and behold, there it was in my photo! I couldn't even see it in the roof when I went back to look.

What is the secret here? Is it the screen on my laptop or something? And why don't I get to keep them to put in my album? Once I take them they disappear from my collection. Am I doing something wrong? Help please! I've only found three and they were dumb luck! :sadd2: :10_1_23:

This time around it is very difficult to see the mickeys IMO. This best tip I can give you is to make sure that there is no glare on the computer screen. Second, make sure that your display settings are high in contrast. Other than that, I would suggest finding as many as you can, then go to the Spoilers. I honestly don't think I could make it through the new set of 50 Mickeys w/o the Spoilers.

First of all... Welcome to the fun!!

It helped me a great deal to use the brightness control on my monitor. By constantly changing the brightness while searching, some of the more difficult Mickeys became a little more obvious. There were still some that were very difficult to find. Be persistent and prepare to waste film - sometimes you just have to make a good guess.

Finally, during the last round I too wanted to have all of the locations in my album (to share with my friends when they had trouble). I haven't tried it with the current round, but with round one I was able to take the pictures a second time to make them available to my album. Too expensive to do again...

-Too hip. Gotta go!

Heya!
Here's another tip that helped me a little. Along with adjusting your brightness WAY up, I found that tilting my display monitor and looking at the screen from different angles helped.
Best of luck to you!

Thank you for the suggestions! I am glad to know that I'm not the only one having a "ruff" time seeing them. I'll give the contrast/brightness a try on the Mickeys I've found already to see if that helps me.:)
