Ok everyone, my little sister (teddyprincess) is celebrating her birthday at disneyland! She is very excited. (as am i) Anyways, is it possible to use one of those birthday packages offered in the park? If so, which would you suggest?

yes that would be wonderful for anyone under 10. I went to it about 3 years ago. Really fun for little kids. Also if u go to DCA go to the tortilla factory and they give you a whole pack of fresh tortillas

:Although I never had my birthday at Disneyland (okay I'm lieing but this was years ago and all I did were rides), but many of my friends have. Best thing to do is go to City Hall and get a birthday sticker. I hear you can get "extra perks" just for wearing it. One of theme is more tortillas from DCA. Yay!!

As for the Plaza Inn, the birthday celebration isn't "cheap". Start saving your money. :xmas16:

the plaza inn thing is best suited for young kids, under the age of 10, OR crazy teenagers/adults who want to act like kids.

you get a cute little plastic cup with fruit punch, a mini-birthday cake with frosting, sprinkles, etc and wooden popcicle sticks to decorate it. then Pat-E-Cake comes out and sings as you decorate "happy birthday, happy birthday, happy, happy, birthday to you......" you also get a birthday party hat (cheap bday hat with mickey ears, its paper) and a sticker. at the end you get your picture taken with mickey and minnie which is available to view afterwards inside plaza inn but it costs money to buy.

the cake, punch, hat, and sticker is included for everyone in the group, but only the bday kid gets pic taken with mickey and minnie. i believe its like between $12-$20 a person (i want to say $15, but dont hold me to it)....

the thing you read about is the birthday bucket. i believe you have a choice between princess, buzz lightyear, and winnie the pooh. its this cute bucket, inside there is the pin, some stickers, a cute little toy, and the bithday cake (pre-decorated i THINK)....it is $20.....i would say its best for ages 3-7. i like to call it a glorified happy meal minus the real food. ::shrugs::

best thing to do is get a birthday sticker, go to DCA and get your tortillas, and go to the plaza inn thing if your sister is under the age of 10. have fun.

pretty much. but its cute and fun and you might as well...

and birthday stickers are free.

you can get one by visiting city hall.

or if you visit the hotels you can try and get a birthday button. normally its just for the hotel guests but sometimes they will make you one. other times they will just give a birthday sticker. the sticker and button look the same because they both start out as a sticker and they turn it into a button with a button press. just go to the grand californian checkin desk and ask for one.

wait a minute, my neighbor had her birthday day a few years ago. it is a great idea for kids, but ONLY kids. we thought that it was going to be really fun until we actually got to the party. it's like this small area reserved only for those participating in the parties. and trust me, since our group was mostly filled with teens, it wasn't exactly a happy picture for us. we just felt really awkward. so this party is a good idea for kids, but not for people in their teens and older.

well, she is turning 5, so i think she is still considered a kid. Most of my family consists of 'kids'. my baby sister is a baby so i guess shes a kid. And my brother, well i think hes a kid. But my parents and i dont really want to be bored so we might get the sticker. (or button)

ok then that's great! i know that it will be a magical experience for your sister. also, i know that if you attend the party and have a season pass (or at least this happened when i went), you get a free pin that can only be received in that fashion. i didn't have a pass, but i still got one because my neighbor's grandmother isn't a collector. anyway, it will be a great experience. also, the party i'm talking about was the "My Disneyland Birthday party",an outdoor party in Fantasyland. it sort of reminded me of the tea party in alice in wonderland. i don't want to give too much away, so i hope you and your family have a great time there :)

My dad had his birthday once in WDW at the Liberty Tree Tavern, MY personal favorite place for mashed potatos, and they sang to him and gave him a card signed by all the charachters :) He was a little embarrased, but I think he really liked it ;)

My mom also had her birthday at WDW, and me and my dad took her to La Sallie has a "special surprise", even though we go there every Disney trip, its always something to look forward too, but my mom thought we weren't going this trip, because just to save money for other things, but she was so happy when I steered her into the restraunt, she kept saying; "I still cant believe it!"

So there you are, both my parents spent their birthdays at WDW, and I didn't!! Turns out this year we wont go to WDW for my birthday either, because my Birthday is the day of the school play, which I'm in so... maybe for my twelfth birthday we can go!

Ah, disneyland is very fun :). My sister is having a blast. We had the little party thingy a couple of hours ago and it was so magical :). My mom figured that we needed a rest though (because we went right when the park opened). But we will eat dinner at around 6:30 at a restaurant in disneyland. Any suggestions on what place to eat?

(btw, im on my laptop;))

I know last year at WDW, I went for my birthday (celebrated for 3 days, (at 3 of the parks), had the "It's my Birthday" pin/button, and a lot of the cast members wish you a Happy Birthday when they see it. Makes you feel a little extra special. Also had it when we ate dinner at Tony's Town Square, and the waiter brought us a dessert (though I don't think that was normal to do). One of the cast members at EPCOT actually asked when she saw the button if I had talked to Goofy yet. I said 'no', she said, 'Hold on'... she picked up the phone and then handed it to me..."It's for you." and it was Goofy wishing me a happy birthday.
The whole trip made for a great birthday.

I hope that your sister enjoys her special day. :birthday: :jumping-s

ohh how exciting!! Do you know what this package includes?OK,Well if you are an annual pass holder then you get a rare pin that they only get,and you get a mickey head sized plate that has frosting in one ear,and little cup-like things that are filled with diffrent types of sprinkles and in the head is a mini cake! And the rest I will leave for you to discover yourself. I think a little kid might like it but it was kind of a little bit to,little, for me.
