Do You think that Cast Members would quit their job if they could? I've heardsome may want to! Is this true? Would You think so? Cast Members are always so nice to you, are they just lying or in disguise, LOL? Who knows? We don't. Do you know a Cast Member who has been mean to a person, or even YOU?
I don't think this is right news, i think Cast Members are nice inside and out. Do YOU?

I have never ever seen a cast member being mean to someone. I hope no cast members ever quit, because they are all so kind (or so they are in disguise) <_>

a lot of cast members want to quit. it generally has nothing to do with guests. well some guests but not most.

disney scheduals casual regular (pretty much disneys word for part time) cast members 40+ hrs a week, which is full time to normal people with normal jobs but the cast members dont get benefits. plus there are so many rules for cast members to follow, 2 finger point, disney look etc. on top of that depending on their department they may have bad managers or leads, annoying co-workers, etc. disney is like a different world backstage.

plus there is the point system regarding attendance. but i wont go into that.

so ya, in other words, disney is just like any other job, except cast members are held to much higher standards at disney and eventually that drives some cast members crazy and they want to quit lol.

Yeah I think if a cast member was mean they'd be fired. Like some others said, being a cast member is like any other job,except sometimes harder because of the high standards. Plus being nice, happy, peppy, joyful, and fun all the time (or hiding it) is tough. lol

^a cast member wouldnt get fired for being mean to one guest, unless it involved foul language and physically comming into contact with them. if a manager or lead saw them, or if the guest put in a valid guest complaint the cast member would get a talking to, and if it continued to happen they would probably be fired.

well... I have been to both parks. My dad has been to all but Hong Kong. He said every place not in the us they are very very nice. Also Disneyland in California all the people are very nice and make sure EVERYONE is happy. Disney world though I think has gotten slowly worse. More cast members just look pitifull and seem like they hate their jobs. They sometimes are not very nice and don't really seem like the "Disney" type.

Probaby but i want to tell u ppl who dont know, that the taken thing Is Not! against VMK. I asked staff that question and they told me that it is not, if u do not believe me, ask them yourself. That is all.

I have seen it happen!

Sometimes a Guest is just trying to get something for free!

I have seen Cast be rude to guest all of the time. It will catch up with them though.
I know a few Cast Members that have been fired for it, but it takes more than one incident.

As for a CM quiting, it happens every day.

If you ever want to work for Disney again, you HAVE TO give a 2 week notice though.

I'm sure some of the staff want to quit there jobs (the ones that suddenly snap at users and then go back into their fake happiness). but I think some of them genuinly like jobs like that.

Working at Disneyland is like working at any other jobs - it has it ups and its downs.

Personally, I go OUT OF MY WAY to make guests happy, but I know people who secretly hate their job. Those people weed themselves out.

I'm sad to hear that CM's at WDW are slowly declining in quality. That makes me sad. :(

i want to make it clear that CMs can quit at ANY TIME... hey! i quit! i'm proud of it! i was working for poor management in poor working conditions making next to nothing for working everyone's job... if i had better management i'd have stayed... but alas, this wasnt the case... i put in my year and that was that!

anybody can quit their job anytime. its not always the case of hating their job that convinces them to quit, there could be so many reasons. Aside from the reason that they can't handle the strict rules in the job, ussually, its the case of their salary not enough to cover their expenses, or they receive a job offer that pays more. When you grow older, you'll understand that sometimes one has to give up a job, no matter how much they love it, in order to make ends meet.

Yea I have never seen an unhappy cast member. But they may want to quit their job if they have fallen out with someone, too many work hours, etc...

That is something to ponder about.

Both of my parents used to work for disney, and my mom quit because they were going to make her work WAY more. She was already working Christmas and stuff, so she quit.
