I figured since it was included in the description that it would be cool to have a thread for people to put the different strategies and tips to do well in the games that are currently in VMK. So...

I don't have many tips I can give besides the obvious ones.

Pirates: Go for the longer shots to rack up more points. If you see your ahead in score, don't rush to your opponent and try to take them out. Ride it out and win the game. Its not about sinking the ships.

Jungle Cruise: I've found that you get the most points by taking pictures of the smaller animals. I use the arrow keys to stay on each site until all the animals are gone and make sure to pick up gas and film anytime I see it.

Fireworks: I'm still trying to get the hang of this game. lol I think if you really want to do good, you need to memorize the order of each symbol so your not spending so much time switching between them.

Yeah... it's a good strategy. I know exactly where the symbols are and how far away they are from other symbols. This way I don't have to pay attention to the symbols key at the bottom, I can focus on the moving symbols in the sky. It has helped me to be pretty consistent: I get above 200 pretty much every time.

The other thing is to try to hit the firework at the last possible moment before it disappears... this will increase the points you earn. It can be a dangerous strategy, however, because you run the risk of missing the shot altogether.

I spend a lot of my time on this game because if you're better than the others you play with and you finish the game, you get 150 credits. That can really add up fast, especially when you want that Haunted Mansion clock for your room! lol!

I am going to keep trying until I end up on that high scores list, although it seems near impossible. My highest score is at least 15,000 points lower than the worst on the high scores list! Argh!

Wow, I didn't realize you got so many points for fireworks! I have 1400pts right now and would like to add to that. No clue what I want to buy, but I'm sure I'll find something. lol

I'll have work harder on the fireworks game now!

Don't only go for the Flawless's or the Awesomes in the Fireworks game, you risk the chance of missing the firework all together, and you don't want to miss even one.

I miss so many its not even funny. lol I'm playing on a laptop though so its not as easy to move the cursor around. I'll have to start up my game machine and see if I can do any better on there.

In the fireworks game, I try to aim for an awesome, I get mostly awesomes and end up around 180,000 points. Aiming for the perfect one is just to dangerous, but I try to take a while when its in the awesome range so I get a lot of the perfect kind too. I still get some goods, but their still good :D

I have two questions: How on earth do you get the fireworks gold pin. I just can't seem to get it. I've broken 200k as a score and won the game with other people in the room, and still no pin. On the Jungle Cruise game, I simply can't manage to break 20k and am wondering how people are scoring so highly on the top scores.

The same thing happened to MisterToad, and to me. After about the fourth or fifth time I got a score higher than 200 points, I got the pin and the room. I didn't even know I was supposed to get a prize. So, err.. keep trying? lol! Or, tell a CM! :)

I think it's still a bit buggy. I got mine on my fourth or fifth 200k+ round...ironically, I got it the first time I lost! Just keep trying and you should get the goodies eventually. Good luck!

My best tip is really to play over and over. Learn the sequence of the animals, and which are worth the most. Save your film for animals that are over 400pts. Remeber, you can slow down or speed up also..

Anyone found a critter worth more than the toucan? That's my fave. I think 28k was my best attempt.

Here's an undocumented tip which I think is true. I stumbled across this on my own after several frustrating sub-20k attempts, and it seems like I've duplicated it a few times (although it was a few days ago so I'm a bit foggy):

After completing all of the rooms once, you get five extra pictures (and maybe a little extra gas?) for passing under the jungle cruise bridge on your second time through.

I also got the gold fireworks pin after a loss. I was talking to someone who had scored over 200,000 points 10 times in a row without getting the pin. I told him to try losing on purpose. :) Unfortunately, that didn't work for him.

No, the toucan is worth the most, although the rhinos in the lost safari party scene is worth about the same.

I'm still questing after my Gold Fireworks pin.

I thought for one of the fireworks pin you had to get over 200,000 but NOT WIN. It is tough to get 200,000, but even tougher to find someone else even better!
My strategy is to try to get the flawless/Awesomes in the first couple of rounds when it is easier. Really concentrate. After that, do the best you can!

I've gotten up to 750 for elephants on the second screen, up to 950 for toucans, up to 750 for double monkeys near the campfire, and up to 800 for rhinos. You can get up to 3 toucans on the first screen if you slow the boat down enough and two toucans on the tiki screen and safari/rhino screen. Now don't you all go and keep me off the high score list, I'm a lefty and royally stink at fireworks so the cruise is my only source of income! I'll never get the fireworks pin/room.

Hmm... the only way you can get fireworks pin is for getting higher than 240,000 BUT, losing?? I have several accounts and for several characters, I can't seem to get the pin again. My scores are usually 260,000+ and I usually get first place (I've been getting first on the characters on other accounts). I've been trying to help getting my friend a fireworks pin because she has a tough time with the game (she's awesome at Pirates), so I decided to make another character and play fireworks, get the pin, and then give the pin to her. Any help?
