I used to watch Nickelodeon when I was little. You know, the old All That with Kenan and Kel, Amanda,etc. and Are You Afraid of the Dark?. You know, the old shows. I watched it recently to find All That is no longer the same, no more old shows. Which do you like? Old Nickelodeon or New Nickelodeon?

Lol were alright over in uk because we have both we have a the main Nickelodeon show channel (Drak & Josh) and there is Nick Toons Tv (With the classic like Cat Dog, Real Mosters, Rugrats)!

So i am alright!

But i still like the old way better!

I saw the FIRST airing of Rugrats. And I also love Nick at Nite. It would help me to sleep better after scary shows of Are You Afraid of the Dark.

I Like The New Nick Better

I would totally have to say the old Nickelodean. The new Nickelodean seems more pointed on the younger audience like kids and stuff. All they really have are cartoon shows. Oh well.. I guess I am getting old. :( Or it could be the fact that I don't watch a lot of television.

I remember the old Nickelodean! In my opinion, it was more open to older kids too. The new Nicks more focused on younger kids, and therefore I don't really watch it anymore. :(

Old Nick was the best! my favorite shows had to be Invader Zim and Are You Afraid of the Dark?. And the old rugrats. >8D What really ticks me off is that there are NO Angry Beavers! The ONLY funny cartoon I've ever seen, except the Simpsons.

Ah....the old Nickelodeon. I chose both because there are certain shows on new Nick that i like, but i would definitely prefer old Nick. Like, Rugrats, that was my favorite show.Also Animorphs and Are You Afraid Of The Dark? were cool. I watched catdog every morning before i went to school along with Hey Arnold! I miss Double Dare 2000 and the ORIGINAL rugrats. All Grown Up is kinda cheesy. The show I miss the most would have to be Angela Anaconda. I LOVED it and I would watch it every morning. But I couldn't stand Rocko's Modern Life. In my opinion, it was too stupid to be a show and it had no point. I also miss Hey Arnold! And the Wild Thornberries (which I watched with my dad and I haveso many memories). I used to watch Kenan and Kel like every night LOL.

Oh yes, you can watch old nick on nickelodeons site. Also, you can watch it on the old nickelodeon channel. It has guts, double dare, get the picture and ect. There is another channel with the old real nick stuff, besides the sport stuff.

I miss Rocko, and Doug and Hey Arnold. I like Are you afraid of the Dark b/c it wasn't too scary, but still creepy. I saw the first episode of Rugrats too and I agree, All Grown Up isn't as good.

Can someone help me out here? What was the name of the game show on old Nick, where in the last round one partner had to go through a temple-maze under the time limit? It was like the Secrets of the Hidden Temple or something like that. It's really bothering me now!

Can't get better than the old days.

I seriously grew up on Salute Your Shorts, Hey Dude!, Pete and Pete, Alex Mack, Clarissa Explain It All, and Are You Afraid of the Dark. I remember dying to get on Wild and Crazy kids, Double Dare, or Legend of the Hidden Temple. Always hated GUTS because it came on inbetween Hey Dude and [shoot, I dont remember the exact name of this one] Land of the Lost.

Even our Nick Jr was better. Blues Clues and Dora so cannot beat Eureka's Castle and Heathcliff.

Btw, I do not consider Angry Beavers and Hey Arnold and the other shows around that time to be Old Nick. When I talk about Old Nick, I talk about the classic early 90's days. None of that 2000 stuff that 12 year olds now like the reminisce on.

i miss pete and pete so much. also hey dude, are you afraid of the dark, alex mack, clarrisa explains it all, doug(disney version was no good), there was one show where they were in space i forget the name of it, salute your shorts, i love all of these shows and all the old cartoons like rocko and angry beavers. and of course there was that popsicle stick i think his name was stick sticly or something like that.

Ah, the good old days. Back then I was too young to understand and appreciate the storyline for any given episode of any given show, but it sure was better than what we have now. I loved Angry Beavers, Zim, Wild and Crazy Kids, Animorphs (I even bought the books LOL. But only #8 and #151 LOL) and All That (the first season, mind you...). Are you afraid of the dark was sort of above my head back then, but the television movie (The Silver Sight) was awesome. I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but Ren and Stimpy was probably one of my favorite shows, second only to Zim and Angry Beavers.

I used to get so worked up whenever I saw 'Legends of the Hidden Temple.' I remember how my sister and I used to cheer on the girls and comment on how 'nobody ever won.' It's impossible, only like three kids completed the whole thing..

I use to watch finders keepers. Thats about the only thing I know from your list LOL.

I grew up with the old school Nickelodeon...

In the beginning, it used to be nothing more but a channel filled with Game Shows...

Little by little, those shows were replaced with live-action sitcoms... (Clarissa Explains it all, Salute your shorts, & many other shows that I can't even remember their names too)

By the early 90's they added more and more cartoons... Rugrats & Doug are probably my favorite from the old school, but many probably liked Ren & Stimpy too...

Now the channel is basically ALL cartoons, except when they learned from Disney Channel, that live-action is popular with "tweens"...

I miss the old "SNICK", my whole family would sit down each Saturday night and watch the 4-hour block of television... I don't remember the Original line-up, but I know it included All that, Are you afraid of the Dark, and The Secret World of Alex Mac... Those were some good times, and kids growing up with Nickeldeon are not experiencing the same stuff my generation went through...

I agree with a lot of you guys about the new Nickelodean show. There are many shows that I completely don't have a clue on why they are still being aired today. I think the kids should have better shows that send a message to the kids about everyday things and we can all relate to them. Now don't get angry at me because there are some shows there that you can relate to like Drake and Josh and Zoey 101. Those shows sometimes turn out to be cheesy though.

That is why there is the Disney Channel. Oh and off topic, but I love Thats So Raven! and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. I think they are really funny shows.

I like the OLD OLD Nickelodeon. I have found memories or Pinwheel and Roundhouse! I loved Finders Keepers and the old Double Dare. I loved all those game shows they taped at Universal Studios in Florida, because a lot of my friends would go there and get on the shows - and act like complete fools! <I had 2 friends who were contestants on Legends of the Hidden Temple and both were eliminated in the first game - so they only appeared for 20 seconds!>

I like both, but I didn't really know the "older Nick" as I was a little young for most shows (I was at that stage in life where I REFUSED to watch live-action shows). But I did enjoy watching:

Rugrats (All Grown Up was a good idea, but it was a flop)
Forbidden Temple (or whatever it's called, I liked watching it)
INVADER ZIM!!!!
Most of the game shows


I do get Nicktoons now, so I can watch some of the old ones. But here are some I'm glad are gone:
Are You Afraid of the Dark? (Gave me really bad nightmares)
Ren and Stimpy (I just don't like that show for some reason)
The Fairly Oddparents (Even though this one is still on, I hate it (Hey, I was on a roll). Even though the show was so bad that TV was better before it came on, TV is actually better AFTER it came on, as Invader Zim came on a half-hour after it premired. Sorry if this is confusing.
