This will all help in a project that i am doing, i want u to poat
a pic of ur memories(as many as u want) and tell me wut each pic
means to u, and why u chose it. It could be ur first friend, ur
first time meeting a staff or tester, having a party, buying new
things, or even just talking with ur friend.......anything(doesn't
have to be wut i posted)

Vocabulary:
Recogition means remember
beta means the early days of something in this case vmk
staff is a cast member that works for to make vmk a better
place
testers are ppl that test new items that come out, they
also help vmk become a better place

I remember those good ol' days when the taken thing wasn't taking over VMK! Things were a lot easier then, when I had no idea what I was doing.

I wish I took a screenie, but the mickey ears were so ugly in beta!

Well, the boy had a pirate suit, that's cool. The girl with the ears erm..didn't really have hair LOL

Off-topic future talk LOL: But if you go to WDW or DLR, and pick up a brochure, there is a girl in a pink space suit and a girl with bright green hair...I hope those will be here in the future!

Ah, I remember when my character was only a day old, with her chunny cheeks. She was only a Guest for a few days, too. I wish I would of been around for the full beta days...

Ah, this will be interesting, and perhaps educational for some of you.

But first, have you ever noticed how people will talk about "the good ole days", and then talk about how they had to walk to school, uphill both ways, without shoes, through a blizzard? That is like VMK in the beta days. Want proof? Here is some pictoral proof:

this picture comes from a thread posted by MrGenie back on June 4th. It is significant, to me, because it says several things about the beta days that people often forget.

The first is that despite what you've heard, there was taken and similar junk. A lot of it. Just as much as there is now. This has always been a problem, and no good solution.

The second is the person without arms - which reminds us that there were bugs. Lots of bugs. More than there are now, even! (Another great bug memory later.)

The third is how foolish we were. We didn't know there was a room capacity limit then, so there are lots and lots of extra chairs.

This was a picture of a picture on the wall. Yes, back in the beta days pictures on walls were just blue squares. Then they made the change to the scroll thing we see now - and broke things. So you couldn't remove them from the wall. Ah... that was great...

This was from the first game I built, where people could open and close everyones turnstile. Yes, thats right, anyone could open and close turnstiles. They fixed that bug eventually. But in a way it was a shame - it reminded us that staff didn't really tell us anything, so we had to experiment and guess and waste our credits on things that ultimately wouldn't work.

And finally, this is a picture of the hidden mickey that was in the Pirates game lobby. Why is it here? To remind us of all the bugs that the hidden mickey quest had when it first opened. There was no way to list what mickeys you had. And this particular mickey was one that everyone could see - but nobody could take a picture of for weeks.

So yes... the glorious times of beta... its amazing any of us survived. And yet we did.

Move on - it wasn't as great as you remember.

I wish you could buy turnstiles you can open and turnstiles everyone can open cause races were so much fun when you had to open a turnstile ina race and all that! it was so cool!
