When ever you try to tell people your real names you can't. Right? I tried my name which is Erin and I did awesomeerin. It worked. You can do all names with awesome before it. Put in * My title is Awesome_______ without the awesome*. It works. Try it!:woohoo: :luxhello: :uglyhamme :pcpunch: :pcpunch: :cat1: :15_4_105: :jumping-s

VMK House Rule #5 (http://vmk.disney.go.com/vmk/en_US/help/index?name=HouseRulesPage) doesn't specifically prohibit giving out your real first name, but that doesn't mean it's a great idea. I'm not advising you one way or the other...I only want to point out that VMK is very serious about protecting the privacy of its users, as are a lot of other people in VMK. If you go around giving out your real name, eventually someone will report you, although I have no idea how VMK will deal with this...it's probably not a violation, given that there is no attempt on the part of VMK to keep you from registering a member name with your real first name in it. Just remember to be safe out there...you don't want somebody creepy to know anything about you, do you? ;)

You do not want anyone knowing how old you are and what your last name is. thats all if oyu have a very close friend on there.

Ok MrG, but.... er... what did her post even mean?I thought AshleyM's response before mine cleared this up, but maybe she got scared by my post and deleted her response. :) I think there's some suggestion in the original post that something magical happens if you add the word "Awesome" before your real name, causing it to show up. However, this is just a coincidence since someone already registered the title "AwesomeErin". If someone else has registered your name or some version of your name, it will show up when you type their name and I guess you can claim it for yourself. :)

It also works for Jack Jake Ashely Jenny anynameAm I missing something here? I find it very hard to believe that you can put the word "awesome" in front of any of the thousands and thousands of possible first names and make it work every time. Why would Disney add all of these to the dictionary?

A quick test indicated it did not work for Jack or Ashely, but did for erin.
Sounds like someone is using awesomeerin as a name.

Yea I just tried a lot of names. It did not work. I am thinking maybe people with user names on VMK are awesomeerin or awesomeashley or something. Because you can say anyone's user name on VMK, but not their real name.

Okay, it sounds like the verdict is in on this one (was it ever really out? :)). I think I'll close the thread to avoid future confusion and so it doesn't turn into a breeding ground for trolls.
