I had an idea for a Splash Mountain quest complete with prizes! You could pick up the cards at VMK Central or by the Fastpass Splash Mountain terminals. Here are some prize ideas:

Retro Splash Mountain Poster- Poster from the tunnels under the train station (the mountain with Brer Rabbit, Fox, and Bear all coming down on a log).

Splash Mountain Insider Tour Pin- VMK Logo with Splash Mountain in the background. (Light green/brownish color.)

Briar Patch Room Divider- Room divider made up of several swirls of briar vines.

Briar Block- Similar to the crate just with more decoration (Brownish dirt with briar vines poking out). Stackable.

Gotta Keep Moving Along Rug- Rug with polka-dot bag, food, map, supplies, etc...

Brer Fox Frontier Hat- The wearable hat that Brer Fox wears in Splash Mountain.

Uncle Remus Rocking Chair- Classic sit-able rocking chair. Fine dark brown virtual wood. Based on the rocking chair Uncle Remus sat on in Song of the South.

Brer Rabbit/Brer Fox Figures- Motionless figures of Brer Rabbit and Fox. Brer Rabbit is jogging along holding his polka-dot sack while Brer Fox is licking his lips. Brer Rabbit would be available at DLR while Brer Fox would be available at WDW.

River Starter Pack- 2 River Left Turns, 2 River Right Turns, 4 River Deeps, 1 River Start, 1 Set of River Teleporters.

Laughing Place/Chickapin Hill Guest Room- The Laughing Place guest room set in the forest areas of the Critter Country. The Briar Patch can be seen in the background. 2 ducks play banjo and sing the famous 'Everbody has a Laughing Place' Song from Song of the South.
The Chickapin Hill guest room would be inside the lair of Brer Fox; a bubbling cauldron and shadows of Brer Fox cackling (complete with sound effects) can be seen and heard in the background. Logs make their ascent up the mountain continuously. 2 Vultures wearing top hats play dramatic music on fiddles.
Laughing Place would available at DLR. Chickapin Hill would be available at WDW. Either guest rooms would be earned when players presented all correct answers to the cast member at VMK Central.

WOW!! Its nice to know that some people actually have creativity these days. Hey, yavn saw the drawing of the stitch hat and now its a hit. Maybe the same will be with yours.

Nice ideas, I personally like the pin and poster. If there ever was a Splash mountain quest I'd like the guest room, the pin, the poster, and its not posted on here but a golden river set would also be cool. Oh I also like the hat.. too many great ideas..

Btw, the golden river set is a cool idea, but what would be gold...? The grass on the side, or the water...? (Water would probably be a bad idea for obvious reasons.) Let me start by saying that I like your other ideas, and you obviously put a lot of thought into this, but VMK will never release anything called "Tar Baby."

I'm assuming you guys don't realize it, but that's a rather outdated and racist term for a black child. This is why Splash Mountain's Br'er Rabbit gets stuck in honey and not tar. It's also the reason why Disney hasn't released Song Of The South onto VHS or DVD; there is some pretty controversial content on there. I mean I for one think Song of the South is an excellent film; it's a remarkable mixture of live action and animation and it's music and storytelling are superb. But there are some questionable moments and attitudes in regards to slavery, and this is why some people take offense to it.

In any case, I would gladly welcome a Splash Mountain Insider Tour; it's a great ride and like I said you have some great ideas. But you should probably drop the whole Tar Baby thing.. could definitely offend someone..

Actually Song of the South is going to be released this or next year on to DVD(most wanted Disney movie ever). Also PC souldn't of done that and shouldv'e let the ride run like the movie. And i highly doubt that most kids would know that.

awesome idea and creativity for Splash Mountain items. The only draw back: Do I really want to wait 90-120 minutes or short wait times but brave the cold to ride Splash Mountain? lol

Okay, well whether or not it's being released or whether or not you happen to think it's offensive doesn't change the fact that it is a racist term. Many African Americans take offense to it, and I realize that a lot of kids don't understand that, but that's what why I posted. I really think the mods should do something about this.. I mean I've seen some of the reasons they've issued warnings or closed threads before, and this term definitely warrants one. I hope they don't drop the ball on this..
