Is there any way to change your screen name once you have created a character? I've searched, but haven't found any posts on this.

There is no way unless VMK asks you to. You won't know just you will sign in and be prompted to change your name. Happened to me.

How about changing your name on this forum? VMK didn't approve Califgirl and so I'm still waiting to see if my next choice will be approved. If it is, can I change my name here to my VMK name?

I would PM MrGenie to find out how.Screen name changes on the forum are only permitted in very special circumstances...for example, you have the same title on the forum and in VMK for many weeks, but one day VMK suddenly decides to make you change your in-game title. It's a bit of a hassle for the forum Admins (Nick and -rcv-) to change titles, so that's why they only allow it in special instances. I'm not sure your situation qualifies since you're apparently relatively new to both the forum and VMK; I guess you could always make another forum account once you finally get a title approved in VMK. You could always try asking the Admins nicely, but don't be surprised if you don't get a response since they get tons of PMs. :D

As a caution to other Guests who may be browsing the forum, I would recommend that you not make a forum account until your VMK name is approved to avoid unfortunate situations like this one. ;)

Well, the problem with waiting until VMK approves your name, is that it takes so long. I've been waiting over a week and then found out Califgirl wasn't acceptable. I don't know how long it will be to see if my new name is approved.

If I kept waiting until I was approved I wouldn't be able to ask questions on this forum. But, I understand the admin's time constraints. I guess I will just open up a new account when I get my real vmk name.

It happens to us all califgirl, the name i use on the board was not approved by the VMK gods so i'm on this board at PrivyToDoom and in the game i am NightmareGirl. Best way to do it is to just sign your posts with your VMK ID, it's not much of a hassle to type a few key strokes.

I just got a reply from VMK and they said that I can only change my name if it contains any personally identifiable information. They will reset it to Guest#### and the next time I log in, I can change it.

How long does it take to get your name accepted in vmk? I made a new account while in Disneyland. I'm excited because you get all four guest rooms and then I got two more on the vmk tour. I'm ready to use all my cards too. It will be a week on Friday. My first character is Kennedy and my new one hopefully will be Miss Petunia for my TT character.
