I am making this post because even I didn't know we couldn't do this, and I have been seeing people do this all the time. Please read this carefully, because this is a very strong rule in VMK, which can get you BANNED FOR LIFE.

DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY FAN SITE TITLES AT ALL.

The reason why is because if you do, you can give out bad stuff over the fan site not G-Rated, which is not ok for VMK because it comes from there, which the game is a G-Rated game.

I am pretty sure VMKForums wouldn't allow this either, but I am talking about all of the unofficial websites for VMK Fans. So please, DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY FAN SITE TITLES AT ALL.

This includes public chat and PMs, so don't try any tricks.

I believe so since then they would join and may give out information. This rule would also apply to other sites as well

pm is for private message which is basically what the in-game message system is.

I was in the room when he said this. He said you can refer to the fan site and talk about it, but you can not say what your title is here or any other place outside of vmk. You also can not talk about PM's outside of vmk.

It really is logical. VMK staff are there to protect us. That is there primary job. They are not there to answer questions like what is going to be new in the game and are red flips going to be rare. They do not know the answers to this because they do not run the game or create things for the game. Only the game developers and such know the answers to that. VMK staff are trained moderators. It is there job to keep us safe and to warn/boot anyone that does not follow the house rules. That is why they are afk so much because they are monitering things all over VMK and answering the help button.

Now with that said, if you tell someone how to contact you anywhere outside of VMK (even in the forums), you are openning yourself up to danger. VMK staff can only protect you on their site not here in the forums. If I was a bad person and you told me how to PM you at the fan site, I could then talk to you about things not allowed in VMK. We could also make plans to meet. For example, we could arrange a meeting at a Disney park, maybe to complete a quest. All seems innocent so far, right? Well, if I was really a bad person, I could then kidnap you or worse. Just think about the liability Disney would have because of that. Disney does not want to be responsible in anyway for things like this. This would really punch them in the purse if they got sued over something like this, not to mention the damage it would have to their image.

That is why everyone gets banned for stuff like this, and why they deserve to get banned. Some people that will remain nameless got very lucky that they only got a warning about this and not a ban.

So, please don't ever attempt to do this. It is for your own protection. Let's keep VMK a fun and safe place.:xmas4:

You also can not talk about PM's outside of vmk.Although it's nice to hear that a staff member said it's okay to talk about the fan site, please keep in mind how easy it is for someone to unthinkingly ask what someone's title is here if the subject is brought up! I am so paranoid about people getting themselves banned that I very rarely ever talk about the site anymore, even to people who I know well here.

And CL_Swordsman, if you only got a warning for giving out your title here, consider yourself extremely lucky. Others have gotten banned for life for the exact same thing.
