View Full Version : This is my idea VMK Members and Staff Read!!
DarknessGirl 12-29-2005, 06:55 PM Ok Since VMK is a very big game an wat not, i think VMK should hold a convention! Like in every continent, in the U.S. somewhere in the middle of the states, an same with everywhere else! An u can type to VMK an tell them wat ppl u want in ur group, an at the convention they have computers an stuff, an u can get a team of ppl an ur team can have their own group of computers. I think it would be really cool, to see who ur actually talking to on VMK! An Also at the convention they can have like a time where u can meet the makers of the game And give out some ideas to VMK!!
:CastMem: :goofy: :mickey2: :D :15_4_105:
thegoof 12-29-2005, 06:57 PM If they did this it would probably happen at the parks and not all over the world.
DarknessGirl 12-29-2005, 06:57 PM That is wat i meant! I type to fast so i can type the wrong things an mean dif. things
GreatGatsby 12-29-2005, 08:01 PM OK, let me make sure I have this right.
VMK Staff have been banning players for giving out personal information in the game, and you're suggesting they host a convention?
I kinda don't think they'll be so hot on the idea.
DarknessGirl 12-29-2005, 09:21 PM All i am saying is that it would be nice an besides u can meet this ppl in rl without a convention but it would be pretty cool. JS
GreenGirlJess 12-29-2005, 09:24 PM Yes and you don't have to go to the convention. Plus, the disney staff and VMK staff would be there as well.
Poseidon 12-29-2005, 09:25 PM All i am saying is that it would be nice an besides u can meet this ppl in rl without a convention but it would be pretty cool. JS
I'm going to have to go with GG on this one.
The whole point of the dictionary is to stop people from doing things like this (meeting up). I doubt anything of this sort will happen.
carlyiscoolio 12-29-2005, 09:28 PM Gatsby has a very excellent point.
VMK is banning people for giving out there fan site name. Let me show you something i found on the main VMK site:
Under the Big help tab, smaller Safety Tab and then click on the Top chat Tips button, here goes nothing:
Top Chat Tips
We want you to have fun with friends and chat with new people while playing VMK, but not everyone is who they say they are, and some people might want to be your friend for the wrong reasons. To stay safe in the Virtual Magic Kingdom — and on other Web sites — follow these tips:
Don't Give Out Personal Info
Would you give a stranger on the street your telephone number? No — then why do it in a game? Never tell anyone your home address, telephone number, e-mail address or cell phone number. Don't even tell them your real name or which school you go to. And don't give away your friends' private details, either.
But remember, if you do reveal personal details, don't panic. Let your parents know. There are ways to prevent unwanted text messages, instant messages (IMs) and e-mails, and your parents can help you.
Don't Accept E-Mails or Open Files
Accepting e-mails or opening files from people you don't know can get you into trouble. Attachments may contain viruses, nasty messages or annoying links to stuff you really don't want to see.
Don't Meet in Real Life
It's not safe; no matter how long you've been talking to someone online, you can never be sure of what that person is like in real life.
If you are determined to meet with someone, then never go alone. Always take a parent or other trusted adult with you and always tell an adult where you're going, and what time you'll be back.Don't Engage in ****** Activity Online
You will be banned from VMK and other responsible teen sites for using adult language and pretending to have *** (often referred to as "cyber").
Do Talk in Public
Try to have your online conversations in public, rather than one-to-one. People are less likely to hassle you if there are other people around.
Do Remember That You're in Control
If another Player is saying something that makes you uncomfortable, or won't leave you alone, you can leave the room or choose to ignore them. Just click their Character and select the ignore button, and you won't see another word they type. If they're already in your list of friends, you can easily remove them to stop receiving their messages.
And remember, you can leave the game whenever you like — just click "EXIT"!
Do Tell Your Parents or Guardians That You're Playing VMK
By telling them where you are hanging out online — and maybe even showing them — you will put their minds at ease.
Do Call for Help If Needed
All responsible Web sites have an emergency help button. Don't be afraid to use it if something makes you uncomfortable. In VMK, you can Call for VMK Staff by clicking on "HELP" in the bottom right of the game screen. One of our trained moderators will then help you out.
Do Talk to an Adult
Talk to an adult you know well if you're worried or upset about anything you've seen or been sent online. If there is no adult you can speak to, or if you want to talk to someone in confidence, you can call Childhelp USA at 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453).
I know it is a long quote, but read the bold.
DarknessGirl 12-29-2005, 09:50 PM It was a idea.... an it was a pretty good one (I guess). :shifty: :banghead: Not my fault i come up with ideas but hey i can't help it i just wanted to see wat ppl would think an it was appprently not a good one.
Bilbo 12-29-2005, 09:55 PM I think it would be a cool idea, but it would give out alot of information!
Off Topic:
Some of my friends were thinking about what VMK would be like in a couple years, here are some of our ideas:

Post what you think would be cool!
adventurerocko 06-06-2007, 06:39 PM well its to dangerous
Neoteny 06-06-2007, 07:10 PM If we meet in real life, will we be banned for giving out virtual information?
the_phoenix 06-06-2007, 07:16 PM Yeah I agree with everyone else (Almost everyone)
This is terrible idea. Why? Because it goes against every VMK value that was ever created
snowegoof 06-06-2007, 07:36 PM You who think dont have a point, but what about POTCO? they had conventions for that so people could be giving out their pirate information.

How do you decide whether to leave a dead thread open or to shift it to the archive?
mainiacman 06-07-2007, 04:41 AM it would be cool but u would have to make a age range to go to it cause it would be scary cause of petifiles so they should only allow ppl that are over 16
mainiacman 06-07-2007, 04:42 AM but kind of scary cause petifiles might just wait out side of the building were the convetion is
SuperBillyHill 06-07-2007, 05:06 AM gravediggers.. LOL
