Well, most of us have been to a disney park during our lives, and I know each park has at least one ride where you sit and it's almost like a story. A few examples of these are:
Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Pirates, Splash Mountain...etc.
Which got me to thinking, what if I could create a river ride where a story is actually being told, repetitively of course.
For example, there would be three different people who owned three different rooms. One person would ride the ride, and when they got to the first room the first narrator would begin the story in the entrance room... "Once upon a time there was a man who saw a mouse" The player would enter the second room, decorated appropriately to fit the next part of the story, and the second owner would continue the story with.. "He drew the mouse, and the mouse became so much more than a little mouse..." The player would move on to the third room, where the story would end "and all that was inspired by a mouse" Every room would be decorated to fit the part of the story it concerns
(that is just a very breif synopsis so everyone gets the gist of what I'm talking about, obviously stories are much longer than that, and it doesn't mean that that's what story I'll use)
I just wanted to see if anyone wanted to give feedback on this idea, and if everyone likes it, I'd definitely like to turn this into an actual player created ride. If it were to become a player created ride, and you'd like to help I'll add a sign up sheet (once I get enough feedback) and everyone will be responsible for creating one room, all the rooms connected by the splash teleporters. And every room could even be different pieces, like at one point the character reaches the haunted mansion, complete with spooky furnishings, and then gets to space mountain, complete with spacey furniture.
NOTE: unlike other rides that you just ride through, THIS ride would actually involve interaction and people talking. (yes, this is tedious, but it sounds like fun, or in my opinion at least)
So, after all that long explanation...
Feedback? Comments? Ideas? Anyone?
