I thought it might be helpful to put all of the bugs or what some people might be worried about, and how you can solve them in one post. If you have encountered a bug not listed below please feel free to post it so I can add it, thanks.

If you are looking for a specific trouble you are having you can simply search by catogory (in bold and enlarged print), or click ctrl+F to find a specific word or words that you are looking for. Good luck on your search. If you have expierenced a bug not on here and want to know if we can find a cure please ask, we'll gladly try our best to find just what you need!

I know there are more bugs and hope you will all help the cause. If you would like go ahead and post or pm me the ones you found, and if you have the answer on how to fix them, that would be great. I will be sure to post your name in thanks also!

Log In Troubles
The worst part of a fun game, is knowing you can't play it.

Shockwave not Installing: I found that when this happened to me I had to download the full version that matched my computer, which you can find at the shockwave website here: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/
Blanks Screen On Log In: Logged into the abiss? Simply click F5 and if that don't work try to exit the window and try to enter the game again after a while.
Registration Problems: When you tried to log in did "There is a technical problem with the game and/or Disney registration." appear? If you keep trying to log back in and this same thing appears, take a break from VMK at the moment and try back later, it worked for me. However, if not I as well as others suggest using the contact us on VMK's home page


Crashes
Crashes are not an accident, it's a bug in the system of the car or driver, same as in our beloved game.

Discountions/Crashes/Etc.: It is annoying yes, but sadly right now it is a part of the game. If you are disconnected or get a message saying VMK has crashed simply click F5, if nothing happens click ok, and wait till the log in screen comes up and sign in again.
Not Enough Virtual Memory Crash: If your computer is using up too much energy you may get this. A pop up will come up a few minutes before saying so, and then the game will mess up with black spots on it. To fix it simply exit out of the window and enter the game again. I am not sure if F5 works on this one, but next time I get a chance I will be sure to try
Buddy List Crash: Sometimes on really busy mornings you crash after opening your Friend's List. The only thing you can do for it is not open the list, or wait awhile before trying it again.

Game Bugs
What would a game with bugs be if the game's games didn't have bugs?

Jungle Cruise:
The boat it's sinking! Oh.. no, it's just a bug in the system.
Character Out Of Boat: Every once and awhile your careless character seems to fall out of the boat! It does not effect the game play though, just fun to luagh at.
Boat On Land: After crashing for awhile your boat fights back by taking wings and running up over the borders of the game without hurting it. To fix this so you can crash some more simply steer your boat back onto the water.
Boat on Black Lagoon: It seems as though your boat loads, but the sorounding does not. I forget if there is a cure for this, so if you know pm or reply here

Haunted Mansion
Scaring isn't the only thing the ghosts do best.
Bootted From Game: There are two parts to this problem. First off the game boots people that don't move for a few moments in the game, this thus results in some boots of people who's computer might not have loaded yet. If this keeps happening to you, and you have a slow computer I would suggest playing a different game until you can speed the game up. The second problem is more of a bug. If you are doing magic, or somethimes even talking right when the creater of the game pushes start, you will apear back in the lobby. To prevent this make sure you aren't doing anything when the start button is clicked.
Hats Off: When you play huanted mansion wearing a considerably large hat you can still see parts of it under your green ghost catcher's hat. There is no known solution to this bug.
No Buttons Lobby: This bug is usually associated with the one above. The ghosts aparently like to steal the buttons on the bottom of the screen. Don't fret, just exit the room by clicking a square on the ground that says exit, and then go back to the room.
Sticky Keys: This is actually not a bug, nor VMK's fault. If you get a message saying that you've hit shift or ctrl alot lately, just quickly click cancel and resume your game. If it still comes up after hitting cancel on Windows XP go to the control pannel and click the Accessibility Options. On the first tab (keyboard) uncheck Stickykeys and click properties to the right of it. Uncheck the Use Shortcut button and then click ok.


Pirates Game
Yo ho, Yo ho, a buggy life for me.
Big Sea Monster: Amazingly something this big is not a glitch. At the end of the second level games it appears for the last ten seconds.
Square Cannon Balls: if your screensaver comes on while you play the game from that point on in the game your cannon balls will look square! It is not sure if they affect the game, so there is most likely no reason to get upset over them.
Blind Game: There is a bug that you can't see anything going on in the POTC game. However the game still moves on as your health is drained while someone else shoots you. The best thing you can do is hope your team mates are good and don't have the same bug, and hope the next round it will be over.

Fireworks Game
Boom, Crash, Boom, Dud?
Points Crash Bug: This may have been fixed but earlier it is reported that if you scored between 125,000 and 130,000 points in the thrid round you would crash on the 4th round. If you happen to know the fate of this bug please post or pm me.
Magical Crash Bug: This may have been fixed but it is reported that if you used magic after clicking to play it would result in you crashing. If you know the fate of this bug please post or pm me.

Space Games
Houstan.. we have a problem..
Disconected While Playing: If you are disconnected from VMK while playing a game don't worry. Go ahead and finish it, and if you can get the code you will. Then log back in and type it in.

Music Mix Game
No, it's not like the super bowl half time shows.. it's WORSE!
Moving Magic: If you use a "stationary" magic when you are about ready to move up in line in the music mix line it will move right along with you! Enjoy your new musical magic!
Entering Dc: For some entering the Music party game means instand dc. I have found the game to work better if you go to advance mode and click on a room with nobody in it.

Yeti Vision
Does the big and wooly has flees?
Cancel Button Bug: The cancel button appears over top of the button for recieving the prizes. To attempt and fix this exit out of the yeti game, and start it over again. It has been to my expierence that it only happens when you minimize the game yourself (not including when the game does it for the prize) and bring it back up. However I am not sure, if you do no please do tell

Unstable User Rooms
Who ever wanted to live in a room full of bugs anyway?

Whale of A Tale: Sometimes in the room that's under water (Captain Nemo's) the giant squid will be inside, rather then outside the room. This appears to have no other effect on the gameplay, so enjoy this unatural diaster!
Enter Room And Kick Bug: If when you enter your own room you get kicked every time you may have a problem. If you think there is way too much furnature or photos in the room at the time that could be the reason. The simple way of fixing this is deleting the room, since you cannot take the furnature out. You will get your furnature back but will lose the room. If it is a room you do not wish to lose because it was hard to get we suggest the Contact Us form, however this may take awhile to get an answer.
Hidden Hole In The Wall: In some rooms you can hang posters in places that would cut a hole into them. You would only be able to see part of the poster. To fix this problem, simply move the poster to another place.

Troubles Trading
"I had that just a few moments ago, I swear!"

Trade Request Unheard: There is a bug where you can send a trade request and noone get it or if they recieve it and click yes the trade screen does not appear. It is apparently less frequent now, however if it does happen I would suggest trying to re-enter the room. This is just a suggestion, if this or some other way works for you please do tell.
Pop Up Trade: Every now and then a what seems to be random trade request gets sent between two people. Neither one wants to admit that they sent the request. It may have been fixed, or may be a joke of the other person, but if it happens to you simply exit the trade screen.

On The Move Bugs
Well just when you thought you could leave that bug behind, it finds you again.

Main Menu Background Music: No matter where you go it is there to accompany you and annoy you. The reason I have noticed that this music is caused is by clicking on an Enter The Same Room button for a friend while sitting at the main menu after logging in. The easiest way to get rid of the mortifing music is to just go to a room on your own (without clicking Go To Same Room) and then going back to that room.

Furniture Bugs
There are termites in my room!

Swallowing Seats: If you sit in some seats, such as the explorer trunk and the Queen of Heart's throne, you may notice half of your body is missing! Simply sit somewhere esle to survive in one piece!
Color Changer: There are certain items that will change colors sometimes when you enter the room. Don't worry as they aren't really that color. To see something in it's real color keep reloading the room until it apears to be that color.
Standing on a Seat: So your standing on a seat eh? To fix it just simply click somewhere else and then click back on the seat. Ta-da, your sitting on a seat!
Sitting on the Ground: Och! That has to hurt, quickly have your character walk somewhere esle to get comfortable!
Ghost's Furnature: Sure you put an item room but it isn't there? Try reloading the room by exiting and then coming back. It should be there now!
Furniture on Stike: Got a piece of furnish that will not move? Simply exit out of the room and reload it. It should be willing to co-operate now.
Blank Game Items: Sometimes the scoreboards and number generators will be blank, even though there is actually supposed to be something on them. Like the Color changer there is no ultimate fix, you'll just have to re-enter the room and keep trying until you can see it.
Dancing Coffin: If you double click on the coffin bench it moves as if there was something inside it! This is not a bug, but noone esle can see it, watch out for the creeping dead!
Train On Water: Who would have thought you could float your train down a river? Apparently VMK. It doesn't last long, but if you would like to see the Everest Cart run on water, simply place a traintrack before and after a water piece. Amazingly your train now floats! Be carefull though, your train may sink, and then you'll have to cling onto a log for safety!
Great Crate Bug?: Is it a bug or an illusion? The crates are most certainly more smaller than before. There is no known cure for their squared off size.
Furniture Shopping Flu: Every now and then the picture of a piece of furniture in the shop menu will go hay-wire. There is no known fix for this bug except to wait until some day it itself is fixed, meanwhile the object, if you buy it, will not look like that.

People Problems
Missing Text: In this bug you see the text bubble but nothing inside. I have been informed that if you click the bubble the text will come up, however I have not had the chance to try this, can someone varify it?
Shadow of a Ghost: Been a room where there was a shadow but no person? Keep on watching, a person will show up when the room is done loading.
Too Many Friends: T'is no bug at all. You are only allowed so many friends, so if you accept a request and a few seconds later the same request pops up delete some old friends to make some room.
Sitting Duck: You may be in one room, but on a friend's buddy list it may say your in another. It is just because the list hasn't updated yet to find you. If you stay in the same room for a moment it should bring up a new updated location soon!
Water Signature: When you click on someone to see their signature, their signature has no background! This hasn't happened to me, so if you know a cure please state, a good idea would be to click their name again, not sure though.

In-Park Angers
These aren't bugs, but I have learned the hard way, if you go on vacation to Disney don't let them happen to you!

Park Is Open But Closed: If you go on certain dates to the theme parks (like New Years Eve) the park closes when it reaches capacity. Stuck in Epcot we were, and with no way to hand in our Holiday Quests. Be prepared to stay in the park which you enter on such dates.
VMK Staff Leaves: The staff at VMK central in the parks leave before the park is fully closed *tear* we watched the fireworks my last day there and then tried to run up there to turn them in. DON'T TRY THIS, it don't work, they left before we could push all of the slow pokes infront of us out of our way. Now I'm stuck with all these quests and a paper for the Golden Set and nothing to do with them. I'd suggest handing them in in the morning, if you have them answered then and say you did them the day before. Sadly we only had two days in disney and struck out both of them.

Bumper Logs, Remote Controll Lighting

okay, here's a pirate glitches and such, that i know of-
screensaver bug:if your screensaver comes on during the game, every time after wards you shoot cannonballls they look like little squares.
big sea monster: no, it's not a glitch. it appears in the last ten seconds of the second-level game, look for a very small whirlpool floating around.
big room bugs:
trading bug: ah yes, my very favorite. it seems every now and then, you send a trade request but nobody gets it in a guest room. from what i know, this bug was more frequent during beta, or near-beta.
as dear old prisoner would say, FIX THE BUGS!

That sticky keys bug is one of the most annoying. Here's how to turn it off in Windows XP:

Go to the control panel and choose Accessibility Options

On the first tab (keyboard) there is StickyKeys panel. Uncheck the Use StickyKeys box then click Settings button.

Within the Settings for StickyKeys Windows uncheck the Use Shortcut box.

I think that's all there is to it. ;)

Furniture Bugs

Scoreboard Bug (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17343)
Sometimes a person will not be able to see any lights on a scoreboard, even if they are on, and even if other people can see them. They can click on the scoreboard and other people will see it change, but they won't. Sometimes leaving an entering again fixes it - sometimes not. If there are lots of scoreboards in a room, which ones aren't working may change by leaving and reentering. No known fix

Random Number Generator Bug
Sometimes the display on the generator will remain blank, even if other people see it working. Sometimes leaving and entering again fixes it. No known fix (this was rumored to be fixed a while back, but people still report it)

Remote Control Lights Bug
A room owner used to be able to turn on and off lights and scoreboards without standing next to them (just like they can open and close turnstiles). Now they must be next to the light to change it. No known fix

I don't think the iPod and the other warnings are bugs. One is a reminder while the other tells you when the iPod competition starts and ends, I don't find that as a bug at all, and the disconnections and crashes are easier to fix, just click F5 when they pop up!

Advanced mode entering Haunted Mansion lobby appears to be resolved. I haven't had any trouble with it since Monday.

OK, a different post helped me out with my problem but I thought I would share it in your area since you have so many good solutions.

Problem: Every time I try to enter my player created room I get a VMK has crashed message. In talking with friends, I've found that this happens when there is too much furniture, or in my case, too many photos on the wall. So, this is tricky because you can't fix the problem if you can't get in the room, right?

Solution: I tried the "contact us" option on VMK, but that can have a slow response time, so I started searching this website for a solution and found it. Sell back your room! You get your furniture back and credits for the room. Be careful when deciding to sell your room if it is a difficult room to get back. You may want to wait for VMK to help out if that is the case. (Example: pirate prison room)

uh.. I think I got a bug about Haunted Mansion.. Not sure though.. Just happens to me a lot. Once the game starts I can't move, I try the mouse and the arrow keys.

On the right side of the door half of a poster dissappears. On the far right side the poster do not look right. It is like a the pole should go through the poster but does not.

On the right side by the door I have in my room a target on a palm tree and my chair is behind the poster. I also have posters on my palm trees. Come see lol. Good place to hide, lol.

I played 4 hours and got DSL, finally. I got a VMK crash and everytime I played I got a boot and no credits. I consider this a bug as people with and without DSL get the boot.

I disagree that this is not a bug. There are other things that you can control remotely (such as the turnstile), so it does not make sense that the owner of the room can't control lights remotely.

What makes you think this is a feature? When I reported it as a bug they didn't send me anything saying that it was not.

Fireworks glitch: Back in the days when I was not as good, I noticed that if my score was between 125,000 and 130,000 at the end of the 3rd level, I would crash in level 4. Yeah, strange bug to know about but, I suppose I was playing A LOT. Also, crashing seems to happen during the game if you have used magic after clicking to play the game and while waiting for others to join.

Solutions: Get better (or worse) at the game...lol

I did report this and it seems as if we emailed each other back and forth to get particulars of the problem of the disconnect after 3rd level...they may have fixed it...don't know as I average about 10,000 more at end of 3rd level now....

The Queens throne swallows people.

The explorer sofa also tends to swallow people.

It is not a bug but there is a hole in the Ace of Spades carpet.

The hole in the Ace of Spades Rug is not a bug. It is an old sharp shooting trick where the trick shooter will shoot a hole in the middle of a playing card, usually the ace as it makes an obvious target.

Disconected While Playing: If you are disconnected from VMK while playing a game don't worry. Go ahead and finish it, and if you can get the code you will. Then log back in and type it in.

I believe this does not work, I've beat the space games plenty of times and then get disconnected. It never gives me any codes. I contacted vmk awhile ago about this problem, still haven't heard back from them. I even included a screen shot of it.

Sitting Duck Bug- Your player is in a room, when it says they are in another. The player in not really there, its just a bug.

Briar Room has another glitch. I have a soldier to the left of a yellow nemo chair. For some reason the Nemo chair appears to be in front of the soldier's shoulder even though it is parallel to soldier. when I sit in the chair my hat and part of my head is behind the soldier while the rest is in front of the soldier. Standing up and without the chair present I look like I am next to the soldier.

i got to try out other stuff there.

At Music mix game,Make a 1 tune song at the very beginning and as soon as you get on playing your 1 tune song,use cursed storm walk around,and the tornado will follow you for the amount of time you are in the tornado
Money thats alive
Same as the bug with cursed storm do the same steps except use buried in treausre and the money is alive wlaking behind you

It is the strangest thing I have ever seen. You even sit in the log. :) There is a trick...of course...to making it work and I hear it only works in certain rooms.

This does happen to others, just so you don't feel left out or anything, but I don't know about constantly. I have found that it usually happens if you are doings magic or talking right when the owner pushes start for the game. Are you usually doing something when the game starts?

Also if you don't move fast enough the game will kick you off, so if you have a very slow computer on which the game takes a while to load, it may not recognize you are still loading and boot you from the game. In which case, I'd suggest playing a different game until you get a faster internet or computer.

If your computer is too slow and it takes too long to load the Haunted Mansion game, VMK will return you to the lobby. There seems to be some kind of maximum time that VMK makes others wait for you. After that, bad luck...

On the bottom right corner of the map you use to travel through the lands of VMK you will see a check box that beside it says advanced mode. If the check box has an "x" in it you are in advanced mode. Any of the rooms on the map (with exclusion of guest rooms) that you click will bring up a list of servers for that room. For example North North East, North North West, and so on. Now you can choose which server room you go to. Each room will have mouse ears, or no mouse ears beside it, displaying how many people are or aren't (in case of no ears) in ther room. This makes it easier for a nice quiet journey through the lands, or even easier to start a friends only game in Haunted Mansion or Pirates.

If the box does not have an "x" in it you are on regular mode, meaning it will just choose a random server room from that list. I hope this helps ;)

two new bugs have been added as there seems to be a strange epidemic going around not only the schools, but also VMK!

I finnally got around to adding the bugs last night after expierencing a major one myself :(

That sticky keys bug is one of the most annoying. Here's how to turn it off in Windows XP:

Go to the control panel and choose Accessibility Options

On the first tab (keyboard) there is StickyKeys panel. Uncheck the Use StickyKeys box then click Settings button.

Within the Settings for StickyKeys Windows uncheck the Use Shortcut box.

I think that's all there is to it. ;)

Oh no, another bugs got me, lol.

See if you can find the answer to this I:

"There is a technical problem with the game and/or Disney registration." before, lol I was just playing it too seconds ago, got dc, and this be what keeps coming up. The creater of the bug list is getting swarmed now.. evil little creatures.

P.S. tomorrow I plan to do the last of my organizing

if you are using vmkpal, try it again using the same method. if not, you account might of been deactivated and you'll have to use the contact us form.

I tried it a while later and it worked, strange.. lol I will have to document this

Update: Sadly I can not do much to the list myself this month, as I am too busy preparing for things, sorry for the inconvince. Hopefully we can get the list back up and running near mid-may.. If you do post any new bugs, as I'm sure there will be with the new tomorrowland, I will try my hardest to add them to the list as fast as I can.

Do you mean when you get the message "There is a technical problem with the game and/or Disney registration." ? If so, if you try tomorrow it should work, however if it says something else please try and post it so we can ask around and find an answer :)

when i hit enter, it does not load for me like i have wrong password.
then i hit send password to my email, get the new 1 and it wont work.
could your account get deleted? i just founf the password to my first account i made last summer, and it still works lol, so why would that get deleted in contact us it says vmk can not help u with pass words or something, and u go to disneyland.com or w/e, i just know this will be all bad
if it was hacked i will be doing a give away and quitting vmk too srry

once you make a password, it cant be changed. so you weren't hacked. and the fact that it loads for you means the registration is right, so i think shocwave might have problems. do you have the latest version? if so, i have encountered this before when 500 people was alot for one vmk server. i was locked out. try this when less people are in the game, or do you know what helps? have the vmk screen, then press ctrl+N. log in with both screens. chances are, one of these will load. if not? try again. after around 10 times, i dont know what to say....

I actually am not sure myself... If you question whether the password sent to your email is right or not, you can go, as they said in their replies, check at the regular Disney Website. I forget exactly how, but if you think that may be the problem and want me to get you full directions just drop me a line.. Meanwhile I, as well as others I'm sure, will ponder over this for you.

Since I get a "you've been disconnected" message at the end of playing a song, I go to the Music Game to exit VMK.
The downside of this glitch is during timed quests which require you to play a song in the Music Game because I will have to log back in.

Thanks for bringing this up, I actually get dc just from entering the room, however if I enter a room with noone in it, the music game seems to work just fine. I never thought about adding that to the list, where are my brains? lol

Well, I am back from europe, so now I can start finding those bugs again, any new ones you would like to mention?

I have a bug that has recently been fixed. When you say "did fly go?" it comes out as either "trouble" "trouble20K" and different combinations of trouble that you normally couldn't say. Unfortunately, only a few ppl can see it.

wow that is wierd. It's good they got it fixed :)

I have done some research myself and found a few more bugs. Those include:

The Missing Text Bug where nothing appears in the talking bubbles.
The Blind Game in POTC game where you see nothing of the game.
and the
Hats Off HM game bug where you need not take your hat off at all.
