In our creative writing class, we were given the task to write about anything that we wanted to. I usually start off with a lead, then ask people's opinion if they would want it developed into a story. Since you all feel like friends, I would love to hear your opinion on my story. I hope you enjoy :)


Storming out the house, I knew I had barely escaped death. It was only now that I could pray that my sister, Eva, had done the same. For miles I ran, not looking back, not wanting to relive the moment. In my quick haste, I only managed to grab my suitcase. The memories of my parents had faded over time, but their lives of espionage had finally caught up to us. The gentle happiness drifted into sorrow and deceit. On that day, not so long ago, our hearts throbbed with pain. Now, fear led the way into the unknown. Not knowing where my heart would guide me, I worried about what was to come. With the airport in site, I shifted down into a brisk walk. Having no money, I didn’t have a chance of getting a ticket for a plane, but I knew that they would soon show up in hopes of finding me. The unmarked door grabbed my attention. Before I knew it, I entered an outstretched hallway with doors on either side and people dashing beside me. Taking a chance, I opened another door and to my surprise a passage to an airplane laid ahead. The feeling of safety out-weighed the feeling of uncertainty. I didn’t know what would lay ahead, but I knew what I was leaving behind.

lol, I wish. I would love someday to become a famous author or, preferably, a journalist.
