I noticed that too! I have 26 now. But one thing I find frustrating is that the rooms where I found 2 hidden mickeys, the game only lets me get credit for one of them.

That's what happened to me yesterday: I had about 20 picts and only 10 counted. Today I went and reshot them: if I didn't get credit before, when I retook the pic today, the little mickey head in the corner of the photo showed up, and I got credit for them.
Try going back. If you already got credit for it, you'll know because the mickey in the corner of the pic won't show up: then cancel the pic and you won't waste any film! If it does show up, save it and... voila!!! it counts!

For some reason I am like one or two away from 50. I can't figure out where to go to see a tally of how many shots I have that count. And I don't guess that there are hidden Mickeys in any guest rooms?

Your tally should be in VMK Central. You click on the red screen that says Hidden Mickey Quest, and it will tell you how many Mickey's you've found (or ones that have counted anyway ;) )

There aren't any hidden Mickeys in guest rooms, as far as I know. I got all mine in the rest of the rooms. Every room had at least one, maybe two Mickeys. The only place I didn't find any were on the Monorail platforms.

Like I said above, if you count all your pictures, (in your album) and you do have 50, a few didn't count so you'll have to retake them, looking for the little gold Mickey in the corner.
