You have to remember though that you can only enter once. So even if people do decide to "mule", they have no advantage over others.

Thank you for pointing out that detail. I had not fully read the rules yet. I was making an assumption of what I thought the rules would be like.

therefore the chances of me being able to be on even one day between 4pm-6pm pacifc is so rare that i refuse to even invite people to play the game.

Hmm, I understand you are mad but try to see their viewpoint. The game was created with the intention of attracting Kids in the 10 to 14/15 year bracket. Statistically, in famililes with kids, the kids influence 50 to 60% of the disposable income. The designers want kids to play and want these kids to want to go to Disney so that the families disposable income is spent at a park. The tours are evidence that the game is not drawing the intended demographic as you have stated. As an attempt to draw more kids, they have designed this contest. Look at the prize itself, kids will practically leap out of their skins to win an iPod. Then the game gets what they want, more kids. It's all about marketing. I will not be participating since we have already referred my son's entire class and scout troop way back in the summer :D Lol.

I don't think it would be fair to have the drawings during this time either. i am in school from 7am to 2pm. And most kids are in school at this time too. If they had the drawings between 10am to 12pm, then no kids could win the prize. I think VMK is for every age!! I am not saying that it is only for kids, but maybe they can change the time so that both students and workers can be on. Like 10am to 8pm.

It says that they will post a general statement when they choose a winner. So i am guessing that a little window will come up (like when u are boot from a room) that says a statement from VMK staff: then it will say the winner. That is my guess.

You Do Realize that VMK is just desperate to get more people to play the game by giving out 20 IPods.

That is just what I was thinking. The only reason they would do this is so they get more people playing this game. Which leads to more people going to parks, and then they get more money.

I am guessing that VMK Sign Up's have been going slow lately and they need someway to get more people playing and this way just about everyone is referring friends, while they only have to give out 20 iPod nanos.

Actually, they cost $199 for the 2 GB and $249 for the 4 GB (Both with a black & white version). To save money they are probably giving away the 2 GB model.

Oh well and ipod is an ipod no matter what color or gb ....... i think

Hmm, I understand you are mad but try to see their viewpoint. The game was created with the intention of attracting Kids in the 10 to 14/15 year bracket. Statistically, in famililes with kids, the kids influence 50 to 60% of the disposable income. The designers want kids to play and want these kids to want to go to Disney so that the families disposable income is spent at a park. The tours are evidence that the game is not drawing the intended demographic as you have stated. As an attempt to draw more kids, they have designed this contest. Look at the prize itself, kids will practically leap out of their skins to win an iPod. Then the game gets what they want, more kids. It's all about marketing. I will not be participating since we have already referred my son's entire class and scout troop way back in the summer :D Lol.

true, but the same can be said about teens and young adults. most teens and young adults are still supported by their parents but work jobs with weird hours. most if not all of their income IS disposable. so, their parents have little control of how they spend "their" money, the tours seem to be dragging them in more than it is the younger kids.

On average the amount of money a teen will spend at disney with their own money is the same or greater than a kid can get their parents to spend on them. kids have limits, parents can say no. the teen of course can not go to disney alone, so they introduce friends with the same disposable income to the game and so on.

also, older teens and young adults tend to have more allowed online time from their parents. (its just in different hours because they work) leaving more time to get hooked on the game, a desire to fit in, to have the best stuff in the game, causing more trips into the park, the potential to buy annual passes, etc...

plus, as far as the prize goes an ipod is aimed as much at teens and young adults as it is at young children. trust me they want it as much as the kids do.

in other words, they are marketing this game all wrong. they should market it equally, target both demographics, increase their profit. they cant do that if they make events and contests during the hours the teens, young adults, and even adults work. that just makes that demographic mad, they refuse to invite friends to the game who could bring in quite a bit of money and they are left with the kids.

20 people out of 3,000 equals that 1 in every 150 wins. I think that is a pretty good chance to win. However there is much more then 3,000 people that play VMK. There is usually about 3,000 players playing at one time, and not everone is playing at the same time.

I guess Karo can not win then.
