I don't have braces, but if I ever did they would be the clear type.

I have friends with them and they can't eat anything without pain.

I'm getting them the 30th!!!! (Of this month) Hehe. I got the impressions already, they were pink and I got mint flavor/ The bottom wasn't TERRIBLE but the top... I agged like 10 million times LOL. But it was over in like 20 seconds (give or take a few seconds) and if/when you get the impressions BREATHE THROUGH YOUR MOUTH the impression goo is heat activated(or at least the stuff they used on mine was) so when you breathe through your mouth it dries faster :-)

Don't be scared, I was scared (still am a little) but I'm getting a new kind that doesn't involve getting that metal thing around the back teeth which my older sister said was the worst part of getting them on.

I eat ice and stuff i can't have mwahahaa! see i am very bad when it comes to candy and stuff. the only time my wire fell out of place was when i chew ice. I pop it back into place though. It is weird when i pop it back into place though!

I'm getting mine in February 2006. LOL I have extenders, which extends the top of my mouth. Then i will get Braces (after they pull out some of my Grown up Teeths :()

Here are some bright sides to getting braces:
1. Your teeth will be extra straight when they're off.
2. You will be able to put colored band things on your teeth, which can match your outfit :)
3. Better to have braces now then when you're older.
4. Your teeth will be extra straight when they're off :) I think this is most important. Although I don't have braces, my teeth are not the straightest out there. Good thing that braces will make your teeth straighter than mine :).

Hope this helps out anybody who is unsure about getting braces.

All of my friends got them, and all I hear from them now is "my mouth hurts", it gets kind of annoying! I'm getting them near the end of December or the beginning of January.

yes i have them. i am used to them now, but at times they hurt and yea...but i hate them so much! i havent even had them a year yet!!

i had to have braces for about two years! I got them off in 6th grade it has been three years since then but i can feel the metal in my mouth when i think a bout them.

:/ braces are a pain!

i had mine for about three years, but it wan't that bad as soon as i got used to them : ) then i had to get a retainer (which was too big, i didn't want to do the impressions) so they took it back and gave me more impressions! (if you haven't noticed, i hate impressions -rolls eyes- but now, a retainer is good : )
