View Full Version : Reputation Info
AceLollipop 11-15-2005, 11:29 AM Since there is sometimes confusinon on reputation points, and how they work I think it would be good to have a topic about it. Please do not post complaints about rep. in this topic.
Why was the reputation system added?
The reputation system was added to VMK Forums as a way to get other people to see what they thought about your post. Some reputation can be helpful, and gives you a different veiw on things. To look at your repuation points, just click on "User CP" Some rep. is just spam.
If you get reputation points with no point, or are tottaly off topic, you can either ignore it, or report it to An admin. (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showgroups.php)
Giving Rep Points
To give rep points, click on the scale type image. It's on every post on the top right of the post. Once you click on it you can leave a comment, and check off if you like, or disliked a certain topic or post. You might not increase a rep score of a person if you don't have a lot of rep points. The more rep points you have, the more you give to someone when you comment on their post.
Getting Rep Points
You can get reputation points by having helpful posts. You should not get points by having friends in VMK get them for you. You can lose reputation points by posting something that someone did not like.
Note: The current Rep system has been being changed a lot, with the images, mickey heads, and the saying you can get. If you have info on the new sayings, please send me a PM with any of the following info: what saying you have, how many points you got the saying at, and how many points intill you got a new saying. Also tell me how many mickey/minnie/carrots images you have with that saying.
Reputation Faces (in your rep. comment box)
:mickey2: - Means someone liked your post, and you got more reputation points.
:pluto: - Means someone could have liked, or disliked your post. There points that they tried to give, or take away do not count though. It might not count because they have there own rep. disabled, or because they have a very low rep like EKB (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/member.php?u=147) and can not effect your reputation points.
http://gallery.vmkforums.com/data/979/reputationneg3sg.gif- Means someone did not like your post, and has made your reputation points lower.
Reputation Faces(on your posts)
Others can see how good your rep is, by putting there mouse under the certain faces that we talked about above. This face is under the post count number.
:goofy: This means the person has disabled rep, and can not see any comments they get.
http://gallery.vmkforums.com/data/979/reputationneg3sg.gif11 to-50 Member can only hope to imporve.
http://gallery.vmkforums.com/data/979/reputationneg3sg.gif -1- -10 Member has had some little shamless behaivor in the past.

:mickey2: :mickey2: :mickey2::mickey2: 300-399 points. Member is a jewel is the rough
Reputation Rules
- If anyone is caught seeking pitty reps, rep begging, or rep scamming then an admin will derep your account. Your thread/sig/post containing either violation will be deleted as well.
- Our policies still apply for rep comments and will be dealt with the same as if PMs were exchanged between users.
Fun Rep Notes
*I always like to sign my rep. If your not sure if your rep is spam or not, just think "Would I be willing to sign my name to this rep comment?" I only leave rep that I am willing to sign. If I'm not, I figure it's best that I don't leave that comment, because it could be hurtful.
*If you see someone who has gone from one mickey head, to three very fast.. let's just say that bunnies can make big changes!
That's all for now. If you have anything to correct, or any suggestions on things to add please post them. :wave2: You can also post any questions you still might have about this system, and I can answer them for you.:)
Greenway 11-15-2005, 01:20 PM One other note, a goofy :goofy: means the person has disabled reputation information.
AceLollipop 11-15-2005, 01:42 PM One other note, a goofy :goofy: means the person has disabled reputation information.
Oh yes, I forgot about that. Thanks, I added that part. :)
BnyKty 11-15-2005, 03:28 PM Some have 2 or more red bars.. can you post?
AceLollipop 11-15-2005, 04:25 PM Some have 2 or more red bars.. can you post?
Can you give me a members name with more then one red bar, besides EKB?
GreatGatsby 11-15-2005, 04:40 PM Can you give me a members name with more then one red bar, besides EKB?No names. Thanks.
AceLollipop 11-15-2005, 07:09 PM No names. Thanks.
Sorry, I just wanted it as an example to see if there was such a thing.
Schmoofy 11-15-2005, 07:15 PM Well your system is very off.
1 mickey is 1-99 good rep
2 mickey is 100-199 good rep
3 mickey is 200-299 good rep
4 mickey is 300-399 good rep
nobody has 5 yet,so we dont know.
Re power is every 20 points you get it is another power point. The saying is changed every now and then,it goes as follows(low to highest so far)
Undetermined value
Distinguised Road
Will become Famous soon enough
Spectacular Aura About
Jewel in the rough
(idk yet,nobody does)
Sorry but this is much more correct,if you can edit your list to avoid confusion
GreatGatsby 11-15-2005, 07:20 PM Sorry, I just wanted it as an example to see if there was such a thing. We understand that, but in the long run it's a type of favoritism unless you choose to name every member with good reps. Same goes for those with negative reps. That's just the way it is; it's not your fault.
Batleth 11-15-2005, 08:57 PM Adding mod notes on rep:
"Reputation System Misuse" - The Reputation system allows our members to leave comments about one anothers' posts, and thereby contribute to their overall 'reputation'. The following uses of the Reputation System on this site are not allowed:
Reputation Fraud: Creating multiple accounts to give negative or positive reputation to other members or your own account. Soliciting other members/friends to give mass negative or positive repuation to your account or another user's account is also fraud.
Reputation Harassment: Purposely giving negative reputation to a user because of personal dislikes of the user or retaliation towards a user. This also includes soliciting other members to gang up on another user to give that user negative reputation.
Reputation Comments: Giving personal information through reputation comments or trolling/flaming. Our policies still apply for reputation comments and will be dealt with the same as if their comments were PMed to a user. If you obtain any reputation comments that violate any of our policies, then you should contact a mod about this immediately.
Reputation Begging: The act of requesting reputation from other users is called reputation begging. This also includes Signatures, Titles, PM's, posts containing requests or encouragement to give you or another user positive or negative reputation points.
Reputation Bribery: The act of requesting reputation in trade for something is called reputation bribery.
Reputation Trolling: The act of complaining about being dereped for little or no reason or acts of telling people to falsely derep them about their posts is called Reputation Trolling.
Reputation Pity: The act of posting sad comments about their reputation so other users feel sorry for them so that they will give them reputations is called pity reputation.
These acts are not tolerated on ToonTownCentral.com or VMKForums.com. If anyone is caught misusing the reputation system or violating the Policies of this site using the reputation system, then the Staff will derep your account. Your threads, signatures, and posts will be deleted and you will be suspended from the site for a time period determined by the Admin/Moderator team with possible permanent suspension.
AceLollipop 11-16-2005, 10:45 AM Thanks for the feed back, I have added all of that.
Greenway 11-16-2005, 01:27 PM Question: do you start with zero rep points?
AceLollipop 11-16-2005, 01:28 PM Question: do you start with zero rep points?
You start with 10 rep points.
ShadowScamp 06-17-2006, 10:55 PM Very well written Ace, Now I know what rep is, and how it works, and also the different stages.
AceLollipop 06-17-2006, 10:56 PM Glad it helped Shadow. Your all set for the re opening of the rep system. :D I updated the thread, and added how to give and get reputation points. :)
F0REVERL0ST 06-17-2006, 11:10 PM Glad reputation is back! Hopefully the privelege will not be abused this time around.
cratle 06-17-2006, 11:16 PM Well, -ekb- evilly turned back on the rep. Now the admins are trying to find a way to en-able the reps. Great work though, I actually like the reps....heh ;)
Ms.FantasyGal 06-17-2006, 11:19 PM Great guide, Ace! When rep. was on before, I was totally lost. Now, you could say I'm found. ;) Thanks for taking time to make this! :princess: CL_MsFantasyGal
Kaironzet 06-17-2006, 11:35 PM I believe that you can get more Mickeys than those, although I am not certain on how many reputation points you'll need, but the phrases will be the following:
(User) is just really nice
(User) is a glorious beacon of light
(User) is a name known to all
(User) is a splendid one to behold
(User) has much to be proud of
(User) has a brilliant future
Garfieldo 06-17-2006, 11:42 PM It's back? Cool. I have no problem with it, but a few other people might... Were there any changes made? Like, do you now have to have your rep changes approved? And do we get the points we had in the past back?
ChrisR 06-17-2006, 11:42 PM i wonder what if the abusers will come back...
ugh.
AceLollipop 06-17-2006, 11:57 PM It's back? Cool. I have no problem with it, but a few other people might... Were there any changes made? Like, do you now have to have your rep changes approved? And do we get the points we had in the past back?
Rep does not have to be apporved. If you get spamy rep, report it to a mod or admin and they will take care of the problem for you.
GBShorts 06-18-2006, 12:12 AM I just wanted to remind you all that...
MODS CAN SEE who gives them rep...
So watch who you derep for no reason... >_>
love me im awesome 06-18-2006, 12:22 AM Wow, this is something suprising and out of the blue (random).
So like if you dont know anything about like every subject, you could get known with a bad rep? Because only really the people who help get good reps. Or if someone disagrees with what you think you can get a bad rep?
Am i right?
SpongeboyZ 06-18-2006, 12:27 AM Hmmm.....I got a "Carrot" sign in one of my rep boxes. I'm guessing that was Evil Kid Bugs?
love me im awesome 06-18-2006, 12:32 AM Oh yea btw where do we find all of are like rep thingys? lol
Im a little confused with this.
Adventurebry 06-18-2006, 12:34 AM Hmmm.....I got a "Carrot" sign in one of my rep boxes. I'm guessing that was Evil Kid Bugs?
EKB Has all carrots now for his rep.. he changed all the bad rep to carrots! Hide!
ZortheraCrathTheAliens 06-18-2006, 12:39 AM Carrot reps?! ROFL. But seriously, could people get bad reps for a different opinions, or not?
Ms.FantasyGal 06-18-2006, 12:45 AM I don't think it would be just to get bad rep due to a person's different views, but whether or not people will give bad rep due to diff. views is another story. If someone gives you bad rep. because you have a different view than them, I think you should report the comment, or person who gave the comment, to the VMKF Mods/Admins. If you stated a view with unappropriate language or such, then I think that would be cause for bad rep. As far as I know, bad rep should not be given because someone has a different view than you. Hope this answers your question, I'm not too up-to-date on the whole rep topic. :princess: CL_MsFantasyGal

Users can't see who repped them, only that they received reputation based on a post.
and FWIW, carrots don't mean EKB has been there, it's the new symbol EKB put in for negative rep. So, if you get a bad rep msg it's a carrot, not a red square.
Hope that helps :)
love me im awesome 06-18-2006, 12:53 AM Okay i guess i get your point.
But how do you even know what they are reping you for?
I mean you dont even get to know who did it.
cratle 06-18-2006, 01:37 AM Whoah, a carrot, as a rep. point? Hmm...-ekb-......
http://img213.**************/img213/1696/carrot8aq.gif (http://**************)
warioguy 06-18-2006, 01:48 AM Stupid Question: How do ye see your rep? Lol
I cant find the button on the User Control Panel...
FoolsLove 06-18-2006, 01:55 AM There is no button in the UCP. To see your own rep just click on the little scale on the top right hand corner of your post or click on "User CP" and your 5 recent reps/dereps and your fame should be there.
GBShorts 06-18-2006, 01:56 AM Stupid Question: How do ye see your rep? Lol
I cant find the button on the User Control Panel...
Actually to see your own rep, click "user cp" and it should be there.
If nothing is there then go to your options and enable showing rep.
warioguy 06-18-2006, 02:07 AM Okay, thanks you two! :D
I asked that a while back and my reply was "check UCP"... lol
LittleBubbles 06-18-2006, 02:13 AM YAY rep points are back!
I missed having reputation points. Hope no one abuses it.
warioguy 06-18-2006, 02:25 AM Heh, just noticed they changed the sayings 5 minutes ago...
And I am not in line without a ticket!
its in my other pants...lets go with that...
LittleBubbles 06-18-2006, 02:30 AM Heh, just noticed they changed the sayings 5 minutes ago...
And I am not in line without a ticket!
its in my other pants...lets go with that...
Hahah =)
I noticed too. "I need to get out more"...true, true...
JeannieV 06-18-2006, 10:17 AM Remember, if you DO NOT WANT Rep points for yourself then please feel free to use the "Goofy". It will stop people being able to give you good or bad rep.
If you do use it, please just be aware it is not for popularity purposes but to say if a post was helpful or kind. However, if a post was spam or flame then feel free to judge if you like.
Remeber the Bambi rule: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! ;) Keep in mind feelings of other users AND as Nasaman points out, if you do not agree with a TOPIC or RANT, that is no reason to give bad rep. :)
I hope this can work out. VMKF is nothing without its members and it is YOU that make it a fun place to read. Let's keep post fun and worth coming back to.
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 10:23 AM i looked at mine and it said i have 9 but i also got a message from someone and gave me a carrot! = S and the message said you should know.

AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 10:34 AM That's strange. Did you contact a mod about your rep problem? They might have gave you some rep for your problem... or it's just a bug.

AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 10:38 AM Your a lucky stitch then. Some mod or admin (who is hungry for carrots) must have heard about your problem, and fixed it.
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 10:39 AM aaww well if they did then thank you very much!! :):)
NarniaDante 06-18-2006, 11:19 AM Someone please help me! I know this is a ridiculous this to complain about, but if someone gives you rep, (good or bad), is there a certain link to click on the User Cp section?
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 11:37 AM it is on the page after you click on User CP :)
leowy 06-18-2006, 11:40 AM Rep is back :o :o

stitch mad 06-18-2006, 11:40 AM ok so ive got a better understanding of the reputation now but what does reputation power mean? its on the home page after you log in, near the top
JeannieV 06-18-2006, 11:45 AM Rep is back :o :o

JV
AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 11:45 AM ok so ive got a better understanding of the reputation now but what does reputation power mean? its on the home page after you log in, near the top
The more rep points you have, the more power. The number of rep power is how many rep points you give, or take away from someone when you comment on their post.
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 11:47 AM oo ok cool thx for the info

xXMiZ-B-BeArXx 06-18-2006, 01:45 PM hola everyone
i have just discovered a liitle mickey :mickey2: on ppl's profile.
i put my mouse over the 1 on mine and it said, coolvee is in line with no ticket, idk what that means.. it kinda creeped me out Lol
then i saw another person with 2 :mickey2: :mickey2: and it said - whoever - needs to get out more
there were different ones for different ppl.... does anyone know why there are 1,2 and 3 of them?
lol ty
:) coolvee :)
It is Reputation, you have gotten no reputation yet so you are in Line with out a ticket.
AdioSkater 06-18-2006, 01:55 PM I didn't know the fan site started this. I like the rep points.
Adventurebry 06-18-2006, 02:01 PM It is reputation, but most call it rep. The more good rep you have the more mickeys you get. Everytime you get another Mickey, you get a new saying. And if you have a carrot instead of a mickey, you have gotten a coulple bad reps.
HollywoodHalo 06-18-2006, 02:03 PM How do you get these mickey's?
hey! i have one! yay!! haha
LittleBubbles 06-18-2006, 02:33 PM Is anyone aware of a way to view *all* of your reputation points that you have recieved?
I was wondering the same thing. I posted in another thread but I don't think anyone has responded.
-skippyskippy
Coolbessy 06-18-2006, 03:23 PM ty for explaining this

thx for taking the time to explain this!!! otherwise i'd be in a boat without a paddle if you not what i mean.
iliketodancelikewhoa 06-18-2006, 03:24 PM i got the weried carrot thing because i didnt trade with this girl i mean that is not a reason togive someone a bad rep
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 03:34 PM If you get a spam rep, then report it to a mod
GBShorts 06-18-2006, 03:53 PM Is anyone aware of a way to view *all* of your reputation points that you have recieved?
Not that I'm aware of at this time.
Guys, remember that EKB started this and there's no guarantee it's going to stay past today or tomorrow...
If you get a spam rep, then report it to a mod
Please don't report "spam reputation" to a moderator. For one thing, moderators can't do anything about it, only admins can, and for another thing, spam reputation really isn't like writing a spam post.
This is just for fun, so lighten up with it okay? Let's not go all haywire...it's a for-fun system on a for-fun site. We shouldn't be so concerned with what other people think of our posts...but I can guarantee that some of you are now quickly straightening up how you are posting! :)
MickeyForMayor 06-18-2006, 03:55 PM wow thanks i was so confused what the "in line without a ticket" thing was this cleared it up thanks again
ShadowScamp 06-18-2006, 03:56 PM Oh EKB started it again? Okay then, but why doees he have carrots instead of mickeys?
stitch mad 06-18-2006, 03:58 PM Please don't report "spam reputation" to a moderator. For one thing, moderators can't do anything about it, only admins can, and for another thing, spam reputation really isn't like writing a spam post.
Oh ok, sorry, I won't offer that advise to anyone else
AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 05:36 PM Is anyone aware of a way to view *all* of your reputation points that you have recieved?
One of the admin's might have all the past rep you have gotten. I'm not positive though.
warioguy 06-18-2006, 06:31 PM Oh EKB started it again? Okay then, but why doees he have carrots instead of mickeys?
Eh, its more of his hacking. lol
If those were normal, they would be minus rep... ;)
So he has, like, 300+ minus rep... Sweet...
Oh and for those that have more than one mickey even though rep points just got brought back, its because those are the rep points you had before the system was taken out before.
AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 07:35 PM Oh and for those that have more than one mickey even though rep points just got brought back, its because those are the rep points you had before the system was taken out before.
That is not true. All the rep that you had before has been carried over to the re opening of the rep system. You should have the same as you did before, unless you were not around when we used to have a reputation system.
warioguy 06-18-2006, 07:58 PM All the rep that you had before has been carried over to the re opening of the rep system. You should have the same as you did before, unless you were not around when we used to have a reputation system.
Thats what I said...or at least tried to say. lol
Just couldn't fit it into words very well...
AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 08:04 PM Sorry, it sounded like you were saying that you start all over again. Just want to clarify it. :)
Shanniegina 06-18-2006, 08:07 PM lol I have 45 points and am "in line without a ticket" The sayings are funny..I bet EKB did them ;) I don't mind reputation back. Anybody who doesn't like it can just switch it off..and you can report the bad ones to moderators :)
(cough-* report them to admins*-cough--JV--:) )
(Sorry, I was signing off my edit, not say I was an admin)
LOL whoops sorry JV. Get them mixed up all the time ;)
Evil Kid Bugs 06-18-2006, 08:22 PM Oh EKB started it again? Okay then, but why doees he have carrots instead of mickeys?
Because Carrots taste better than Mickeys.
-ekb-
Schmoofy 06-18-2006, 08:23 PM Because Carrots taste better than Mickeys.
-ekb-
You eat mice. Bad bunny!
REDTAZ 06-18-2006, 08:24 PM Because Carrots taste better than Mickeys.
-ekb-
Mickey is better then carrots, carrots are @_@
JeannieV 06-18-2006, 08:25 PM Please stay on topic. No need to be pursuaded to go off topic, which is "Reputation", not bunnies. TY ;)
MagicalGlow 06-18-2006, 08:32 PM this is so cool! I was wondering what those things were..thanks acelollipop!!
Pebble 06-18-2006, 08:50 PM I'll promise to have fun with the reputation; but only if everybody promises not to punish me for a good deed... "Pebble will find no good deed goes unpunished." O.O? I think reputation is fun, but not when somebody uses a random post of yours, and bad rep to tell you how they dislike your signature. So don't be mean using rep, be fun! <3333
GBShorts 06-18-2006, 09:02 PM Anybody who doesn't like it can just switch it off..and you can report the bad ones to moderators :)
(cough-* report them to admins*-cough--JV--:) )
LOL whoops sorry JV. Get them mixed up all the time ;)
Let me correct a couple things here. JeannieV isn't an admin, so it won't do any good to report a bad rep to her-she can't see it.
Second, please don't report bad rep unless it's got something vulgar or foul in it. Reputation is just for fun and it's not meant to be taken too seriously, therefore reporting to admin every time you get a rep you don't like is doing nothing more than creating more work for the administrators.
I can't say it enough, rep probably isn't staying and it's just for fun, so let's loosen up a bit. :)

Pebble 06-18-2006, 09:03 PM Woot, I finally figured out what "No good deed goes unpunished" meant. (Thanks to the person who told me.) But I don't know if that is a compliment or an insult... O.O LOL! <3
AceLollipop 06-18-2006, 09:42 PM Let me correct a couple things here.

JeannieV was saying who edited that post, the post creator was not saying the JV is an admin. :)
ghlow 06-18-2006, 09:52 PM hmm, here's an idea,
i think users should be able to appeal bad rep points if they think they the person who game them to them wasn't being fiar or soemthing.
for example, i got a bad point in my costumes thread for posting again after the intro post, and i don't think it was fair because the intro post is where i'm putting all my completed costumes. I wanted to run the idea of an ariel costume by people, not add another unnessecary section to my intro post, if that makes sense.
that probablly /would/ be hectic for the mods, though. ^^; just a suggestion.
GBShorts 06-18-2006, 09:59 PM JeannieV was saying who edited that post, the post creator was not saying the JV is an admin. :)
Either way, don't send messages to her, she can't do anything. :P Don't send 'em to me either!
witchesrock 06-18-2006, 10:18 PM Thank you, AceLollipop.
Adventurebry 06-18-2006, 10:26 PM I think somebody else had this idea, not sure. But I think you should not be allowed to give rep in the rant fourm. This would make everybody afriad to post in the rant forum.
Princessbel 06-18-2006, 10:32 PM Thank you! it helped a lot
acevideogameadict 06-18-2006, 10:50 PM thx for the info i really needed it
Qui-gon 06-19-2006, 12:15 AM Oh, the EKB brought rep back, eh? Interesting... It looks like the mods have laid down the law though. And I see that EKB has lots of bad carrots. ;) And Poseidon has a Minnie.
~Q/S
PinkTinkPixie 06-19-2006, 12:44 AM No...
EKB brought back the rep. system. :P

Ducky Wucky 06-19-2006, 01:00 AM I have "No good deed goes unpunished" i'm hoping thats a good thing :P
TopazR 06-19-2006, 01:10 AM I have a random slightly related to the topic question. Apparently from what everyone is saying they see Mickey, carrots, etc for rep. Yet I still see the original little green, red, and black boxes. Is that per chance something funky with firefox, or do I need to adjust settings somewhere that I am missing? In the long and short of it not an important issue, just a curiousity! Thanks :)
PinkTinkPixie 06-19-2006, 01:25 AM Do you think, "PinkTinkPixie05 is in line without a ticket" is a good thing??
~Pink
TopazR~
I don't see the carrots or mickeys either. I know that a while ago they used to have Mickeys for rep, but I don't remember carrots. I've heard people talking about how EKB has carrots for all his bad rep.

You must have you browser set to not check for page updates.
Quick fix, clear your cache.
Probably Tools->Options->Privacy->Cache (Tab)->Clear Cache Now (Button)
Depending on the version of Firefox you are using.

DEEPLAKE 06-19-2006, 01:31 AM Weird how all of a sudden rep comes back or is that just me? lol
Adventurebry 06-19-2006, 01:32 AM I have http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/images/reputation/reputation_balance.gif and mickeys. I guess plutos mean bad rep..? I think it meant that when rep first came out, but I have a horrible memory o_O.
PinkTinkPixie 06-19-2006, 01:32 AM Yes, I'm pretty sure that means bad rep.
~Pink

Pluto means it doesn't count for or against you. It's from a user who doesn't have enough positive rep yet to be able to have their points count. :)
PinkTinkPixie 06-19-2006, 03:21 AM Ooh, ok. I've always wondered why some good reps. are grey. I always thought it was because the person who gave you the rep. didn't chose the circle "I approve" or "I disapprove", but then I realized that you can't NOT chose one. By the way, how many rep. points do you need for your rep. to count?
~Pink
AceLollipop 06-19-2006, 10:33 AM Your rep points count for how much rep power you have. You can see how much rep power you have when you go to the home page of VMKF.

Hmmm... thought I had it set to check for page updates, but in looking through the settings now, I can't seem to find anything to choose that either way. I just checked and I am using version 1.5.0.4 of Firefox. I'll clear the cache next time Firefox closes down on me "unexpectedly", as I'll have to reload VMK then anyway, and that takes time! Thanks for the response. :mickey2:
PinkTinkPixie 06-19-2006, 09:32 PM I'm not using Firefox, anyway. Im think I can live with the green bars instead of the Mickeys. :)

try pushing the ctrl button and hit the refresh key on your browser. :) Sometimes that forces the program to refresh all images too.
darthmatt 06-19-2006, 11:06 PM Question: do you start with zero rep points?
You start with 10 rep points.
601-699 Five mickeys,Minnie head
AceLollipop 06-20-2006, 06:14 PM I added some little "fun" notes on the reputation system. Evil Bunnies are not willing to give me the list of rep sayings and mickey head count, so I will be doing that on my own. Thanks for waiting! If you have any info on that, please PM me.
PinkTinkPixie 06-20-2006, 06:21 PM Yay! We all have LOTS of rep. now! Well, some of us...
So.. who gave us all this rep, anyway? When I signed on, I had 26 points, but I looked just now and had 228!! It's probably EKB or AceLollipop, but I dunno...
~Pink
AceLollipop 06-20-2006, 06:24 PM Must be ekb.... see if you have any bunny like comments.
PinkTinkPixie 06-20-2006, 06:43 PM The newest rep. I got were good ones. The first one didn't say anything, and the next one just said ooo! LOL. Not what I would call "bunny-like" LOL

DarthTimmy 06-20-2006, 06:50 PM A lot of people are suddenly jumping 100+ rep points in one day. This is quite crazy. @_@
astromonty 06-20-2006, 07:12 PM jw how do you check the comments?
Shanniegina 06-20-2006, 07:16 PM JeannieV was saying who edited that post, the post creator was not saying the JV is an admin. :)
I said "report the bad ones to moderators" and I was wrong because you report it to ADMINS, so JeannieV edited my post, and then signed her name on it, she wasn't saying she was an admin.
AceLollipop 06-20-2006, 08:58 PM The newest rep. I got were good ones. The first one didn't say anything, and the next one just said ooo! LOL. Not what I would call "bunny-like" LOL

I did a bit of checking, and it looks like your problem is probably with the FunWebProducts item you have installed. Examples of FunWebProducts programs are "Smiley Central", "Popular Screensavers", "FunBuddyIcons", "CursorMania", "My Mail Stationery" and "History Swatter".
FunWebProducts is a group of adware programs that agressively protect themselves from being removed once installed. I suspect that what has happened in your case is that the location of the old rep icons here has been caught in the FunWebProducts routines that keep the adware from being removed.

AH!!! oh NO!! I just got that!! Bc Of the Cute Dolls!! NO!! Will i ever be able to get it OFF!!?!?
Edit: Just Tried but it said like...it will unistall Later or something like that
PinkTinkPixie 06-21-2006, 12:24 AM I downloaded Smiley Central a LOONNGG time ago for AIM, but it made our computer slower so I had to take it off. Is it still on my computer?! The CursorMania thing came with the SmileyCentral when I got it. I don't see how it could still be on my PC.
WARNING: Don't use SmileyCentral! It will mess up your computer for LIFE!!! @_@

-rcv- 06-21-2006, 12:42 AM I found out about how many of the users here have FunWebProducts when I was sneaking a look at EKB's haxxor screen when he wasn't here. It shows what users have evil things on their 'puters.
I was surprised to see that over 10% of the users here, and on TTC, have FunWebProducts stuff on their 'puters. I suspect that the FunWebProducts stuff may be what is slowing down the forums here. Webmaters of other forums have been reporting the same thing.

Okay, I got it figured out.
The extra colour scheme, like Lipstick (Pink/Purple), show the old rep icons. The mickeys seem to work right with Leaf. Must be a lettuce leaf.
But, changing your default style back to "Default Style" will fix all.

Yup, that was it! Even though I am not usually on default color scheme, that is one setting I never thought to check. I had cleared my cache a few days back as recommended and no change in the image, but as it's not a major deal I just let it go and went on with life. Now you have solved the mystey - thanks! :wave2:
Yapperh 06-22-2006, 09:25 AM why does mine say "could go either way" this is not exactly a g rated phrase in my opinion but maybe i am taking the g rated thing a little too far or maybe the phrase too far but it is kinda bugging me any suggestions?
JeannieV 06-22-2006, 09:34 AM i guess yapperh could be a lil good or a lil bad. Could have had fun..or not. :) Me and -rcv- have not had fun in a while. (Which I did..and I will..pics to add to prove it later) -sniff-

AceLollipop 06-24-2006, 02:08 PM Would we be able to make this a sticky so it does not get lost, and we don't have any more threads asking questions on rep?
GBShorts 06-24-2006, 03:17 PM Would we be able to make this a sticky so it does not get lost, and we don't have any more threads asking questions on rep?
Not really because rep won't necessarily stay and most people understand it.
