View Full Version : I am going to disneyworld.
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:22 PM I am going to disneyworld and my dad asks what 4 places do you mainly want to go. Do you have any recomondations to where i should visit?
I really want to go to Universal Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot.
DivaFigaro 11-13-2005, 09:23 PM i would pick magic kingdom but i haven't been. all my friends say that is the best one.
SuperTink 11-13-2005, 09:24 PM Animal Kingdom, that was awesome :). I would absolutley recomend going there :)
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:24 PM Can you describe you favorite ride or thing there?
MayaWolf 11-13-2005, 09:27 PM I have only gone to Disney World once, and we only had one day :bawling: . I really Wanted to go to animal kingdom, but we ended up going to magic kingdom. It was really fun though. If you do go to magic kingdom, make sure you go on Splash Mountain before you leave!!
Poseidon 11-13-2005, 09:28 PM I'd Suggest just all 4 parks. You can always do Universal another time. :)
Annientink 11-13-2005, 09:28 PM Splash Mountain is the best ride. Ever. Also, check out the Great Movie Ride at MGM studios. I really hope your trip is awesome :)
SuperTink 11-13-2005, 09:29 PM I'd Suggest just all 4 parks. You can always do Universal another time. :)
I agree. I don't know if I could actually decide on which Disney park not to go to...
joeyespn 11-13-2005, 09:29 PM Do the 4 Disney parks there is always next time for Universal!
Do MK on a weekday along with AK and MGM.
Do Epcot on a weekend.
If possible plan your trip to not involve weekends.
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:31 PM well we are going from the 24th to the 30th
joeyespn 11-13-2005, 09:32 PM Of what month?
Mikailah 11-13-2005, 09:32 PM If you want to go to 4 different places, you should go to all of the Disney parks! lol. Personally, I love Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, and Epcot. Animal Kingdom is all right, the main things I like there is Dinosaur, the Tarzan Rocks! show, and the Primeval Twisting thing (I forgot what it's called, lol.)
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:35 PM of december. Since most of you liked the disney parks, I am sure i would like it too, so I guess we will go there first and if we have time we will go to universal.
AceLollipop 11-13-2005, 09:45 PM Defenitly go to all 4 parks. It's a good idea to get a good 2005 disney guide book. I have Brinbaum's Wa;t Dinsey World 2005 book. It has everything you can imagine about WDW.
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:45 PM Where can you get the guide books? at disney? or can you get it from the interenet?
joeyespn 11-13-2005, 09:48 PM I recommend the Unofficial Guide to Disney World which can be found at almost any book store or on Amazon.com:CastMem:
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:55 PM Thanks everybody for your help. I really appreciate it. if you have any good rides to recommend please feel free to post. Please post onto how long it takes too. Thanks ALOT!
Maroonishroses 11-13-2005, 09:56 PM this is very of the point but I'm new! and I want to make a post! how do I do that?
sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 09:57 PM go to forums, pick what category your post you want to post fits in and then press new thread
Haydenfan 11-13-2005, 10:01 PM Thanks everybody for your help. I really appreciate it. if you have any good rides to recommend please feel free to post. Please post onto how long it takes too. Thanks ALOT!

joeyespn 11-13-2005, 10:02 PM also at the disney store probaly at ur local mall will have guide book to everything u need to know about how much, what rides are the best, all the rides, and all the parks!
I highly recommend not buying the official guide since some things are not really put into it.:CastMem:
Maroonishroses 11-13-2005, 10:08 PM thank you very much
joeyespn 11-13-2005, 10:17 PM Also I recommend if you are under 12 to also invest in another gudie book.
The Birnbaum's Kids Guide to Walt Disney World.
Also the Internet has some great free resources for WDW Info like these----
WDWInfo- wdwinfo.com
WDW Magic - wdwmagic.com
Intercot- intercot.com
Also WDW Sorcerer is not open yet but they have some great WDW info!
Everything that is in the official guide is on these sites and alot more.
But Unofficial Guide to WDW has more info then anyone and tells you how to avoid lines.
UG and another service called Tour Guide Mike are great for line haters but both are not free!
Middiebear 11-13-2005, 10:19 PM I would recommend only going to the Disney parks in Florida...
all the other theme parks there basically have the same rides...
I would not recommend going to Universal Studios if you're already going to go to Magic Kingdom and Epcot...
Universal Studios just copy the rides that are found in Disney... ET (Peter Pan's Flight at Magic Kingdom), Jaws (Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom), Men In Black (Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom), Back to the Future (Star Tours at Disney-MGM Studios), and Shrek 4D (Any other 3D show... such as Mickey's Philhar Magic at Magic Kingdom)... see, all have their Disney counterparts...
and Nickelodeon Studios recently closed their studios at Universal Studios this past year...
So if you want to pay an extra 60 bucks to ride the same rides again at Universal... Go for it...
Some good rides you can only find at Walt Disney World:
Epcot:
Soarin'
Mission Space
Test Track
Disney-MGM Studios:
Tower of Terror (Although this ride is copied 10X over)
Rock'n'Roller Coaster
Lights Motors Action
Who Wants To Be a Millionaire
Disney's Animal Kingdom:
Kilimanjaro Safari
Dinosaur
**Expedition Everest**
joeyespn 11-13-2005, 11:18 PM Here is a list of must sees in the Disney World.

sugarbebe 11-13-2005, 11:21 PM thanks a bunch joeyespn your helping alot.
Oranges 01-08-2006, 10:37 PM For an in-depth idea about what to do, please visit my guide (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32412). I think it explains things very thoroughly.
cooleagle 02-19-2006, 08:46 PM i never even been to disneyland
crushandgush 02-19-2006, 08:51 PM :CastMem: you never been to disney or you need help im the right person to ask because
its not far away for me lol(528 west ,green line to disney)go to test track first and get a fast pass. then do mission space then go back to test track
realnicekid 02-19-2006, 11:09 PM Ok even though she probably already left and has probably already come back but for all of going to Disney World soon you should go to DownTown Disney. It is fun. Some of the areas you have to pay to get into but we never go in that area.
For people going (like me!!) go to downtown disney. You can get trasportation to Downtown Disney buy the Disney Buses.

Whoah, whoah, WHOAH. Hold up there; Universal Orlando is NOT a copy off of Disney. It is an excellent destination that I find better than Disney in many aspects. Universal has excellent theming, dining (much better than Disney!), and entertainment. It is not a direct copy off of Disney; ET is a dark ride. Sure. But it is unique and has a lot more character and theming than Peter Pan. It is special in it's own way; just because it has a similar ride system doesn't mean it is the same ride. Jaws is a suspenseful attraction filled with action and adventure (the shark is huge!). And it's definately better than the Jungle Cruise; that thing is dying. The animations are horrible, and the jokes have gotten way too corny. Men in Black? You're trying to say Buzz Lightyear is better than this? If so, that is sad. MIB is much better than Buzz in every way; length, action, different endings, realistic animatronics, etc. It's one of the best rides I've ever been on. Shrek? That movie is hilarious, as is the preshow. I haven't seen PhillharMagic, but it is certainly better than the Muppets, Bugs, and Honey I Shrunk the Audience. Back to the Future I say is tied with Star Tours, though Back to the Future is definately more thrilling and rough. Plus, Universal has other amazing rides like Revenge of the Mummy (My tied for first favorite attraction to date), Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, Earthquake, Twister, Terminator, etc. And don't even get me started on Islands of Adventure. That is the best park ever built. It has Hulk, Spiderman (tied for first favorite attraction to date), Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls (better than Splash Mountain IMO), Popeye, Jurassic Park (AWESOME!), Dueling Dragons, Cat in the Hat, and the opening soon Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Very Unusual Driving Machines. The theming and dining is abseloutley stunning. All in all, Universal is better than WDW in my honest opinion. Now, Disneyland, I'm not sure, but I'll find out this summer.
I say scrap Epcot and spend a day or two at Universal Orlando. But hey, that's just my opinion.

CheetahTamer 02-19-2006, 11:14 PM I recommend going to Universal Islands of Adventure instead of just Universal Studios. The Incredible Hulk roller coaster is awesome!! The Spider-Man ride is also great. The time I went to Islands of Adventure, I had a wonderful time. :)
uhhhh skippy i think she went last month the first post was from january
Heh, woops. Will you look at that. Still, I don't like that UO is being bashed for "being just like Disney". Sure, it has similar attractions... but if Universal can do it better, let it be done.
-skippyskippy
Appleson 02-19-2006, 11:20 PM if you've been to disneyland recently, then i wouldn't recommend going to magic kingdom. i do admit that they are both very wonderful, but it's just that they are also both very similar as well. anyway, i would recommend universal studios/islands of adventure. i heard that it's really fun there.

I agree, Unviersal Studios has its own themeing to it but I would suggest skipping Universal Studios. WDW rocks, it would be hard to pick just one park to go to :)

Your post just reinforces my point that Universal has basically the same rides as Walt Disney World, but when it comes down to it, Walt Disney World has alot more...
I did Walt Disney World first in Orlando, and was dissapointed when I went to Universal that there were just the same rides there... All those rides use the same basic special effects... I just don't want to spend an extra 60$ to ride the same basic rides again...
In my honest opinion: go to all the Walt Disney World parks, ditch Sea World and Universal, and head over to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay...
nintendog1221 02-19-2006, 11:39 PM epcot!! they have the tower of terror! it is awesome dude!
nintendog1221 02-19-2006, 11:40 PM oops i ment universal studios.. i don't really like epcot:(
Penguinz 02-20-2006, 12:08 AM I pick Magic Kingdom or Epcot
DizCaptain 02-20-2006, 12:15 AM well use buses for transportation or monorail. I consider those rides cause sometimes the bus drivers if you act polite and say hello and good morning sir they will drive extra fast just for you! and the monorail is pretrty awesome. Just as joeyspn said do those. But I have been there and udsing a combination of your hourly fast pass and your kindness to cast members ex. saying hello at a line and asking where things are and how their day is they will likely give you fast passes to rides. Once my sister and I got fast passes to stitches great escape opening day! and also rocking rollercoast, mission space, tower of terror, occasionally test track, space mountain, and starwars/ any simulator is a nono for after eating if you have the least bit of a weak stomach. And good food places include for a quick sit down:
+epcot
-electric umbrella
-fountainveiw
- that place in the land especially waiting for soarin!
-france bakery yum!
-fish and chips in enbgland is the best quick bite in the park
+mgm
-pizza planet
-scifi dine in
-rosie's by tower of terror and rocking rollercoaster
-abc commentary (big variety)
+animal kingdom
-pizzafari
-breakfasaurus
-fruit stands LOL
+Magic Kingdom
-casey's corner on main street
-this is nto really a wuick bite for a meal but the dolewhip stand in adventureland!(the greatest ice cream on earht)
-Pecos Bill best topping bar on the east coast! frontierland
-cosmic ray's in tomorrowland
-lunching pad in tomorrowland
ANY SNACK STAND IN ANY PARK! THE GREATES ICE CREAM EVER!
all resorts have great places to eat. I advice cheeseburgers those are the greates. also coke in disney is rather tasting differently due to it's carbonation. It tastes great. Need anything else pm, me!
cptnruthless 02-20-2006, 06:52 AM this post was in NOVEMBER!!!!!

Churo 02-23-2006, 08:52 PM ur right me friend
Universal isn't that great to me. I would go to magic kingdom, animal kingdom, and epcot.
berogurl 02-23-2006, 09:30 PM sugarbebe how much did it cost to go to disneyland??????? plz tell me i need to get enough money for me to go
It costs thousands of dollars to go to WDW. I don't think you are going to be able to "earn" enough to go, unless you have a high-paying job. Check the WDW site for specific prices.
