LOL; nothing generates as many posts in rapid succession as when VMK unexpectedly closes. Dare I suggest you all might want to pay a visit to my VMK Addicts Anonymous (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1994) room sometime? ;) As for me, I just woke up from a 2 hour nap and thought I'd jump on VMK for the last hour so people didn't think I got hit by a bus (though I do feel that way...don't you hate it when you feel less refreshed after waking up from a mid-day nap? What a terrible day for VMK. It seems like something is obviously going wrong. First, they trap me in the game and I can't get out of it. Then, they make me change my name, and then...they kick us all out an hour early! Oh yeah, I can't even report my name change because the contact us link isn't working! Ahhh!

I wouldn't suggest this. We already have enough kids running around here going "OMGZTOMORROWLAND OPENZ TOMORROW!" I don't mean to sound mean, but I honestly think this isn't the issue.

In my opinion, I would bet that they are fixing a couple things. One, the Kellogg's issue. I think that Kellogg's only ever intended for each person to get ONE code, not be able to play and keep getting random generated ones. This, I realize, is a Kellogg's issue, not VMK, but who knows. Also, perhaps they are figuring out why:
1. cursed storm is messed up
2. how to make those pins all tradeable
3. why people are continually losing their names and having to choose new ones.

Best to minimize damage by closing early for repair and self-preservation.

This is really weird. I get home from a concert and my entire city has no power. It finally comes back at 12:30. I go to check on vmk and its closed.

I think that there are Copyright issues with the various companies and to aviod lawsuit, Dusney has to get people to change their name if its not ABSOLUTELY UNIQUE! (Its the most logical thing to do in that situation.)

You can not trade the Gold Pin because then you would get a bunch of money then it would disapear and then build up again. If not traded people can not combine.

You can not trade the Storm Pin because then you would be stuck in a tornado for a long time and is un practical for a storm cloud to appear and then disapear and the re aprear and then... etc.

Get the point?

I just still don't see why it would be useless for them to be traded. I have never combined any pins and have traded to get fireworks because of my computer's speed (No way on earth could I get it myself).

It would make sense that this SHOULD be a trade-able item considering all those who used the first two released codes and got stuck without a way to get it.
