View Full Version : Tomorrowland Quest Location m0nk33b0y 07-12-2005, 03:43 PM Has anyone FOUND the tomorrowland quest yet? mrskellington 07-12-2005, 04:51 PM Has anyone FOUND the tomorrowland quest yet? I do not think so I have not found it yet at least! :goofy: :mickey2: :donald: my three favorite pals! Becky 07-12-2005, 04:53 PM I believe the Tomorrowland Quest is going to be the Top High Scores Print-Out ;) Maybe, and maybe it will only be active from the 16-17th. MrGenie 07-12-2005, 05:15 PM I believe the Tomorrowland Quest is going to be the Top High Scores Print-Out ;) Maybe, and maybe it will only be active from the 16-17th.I don't think so; if this were the case, only a limited number of people could earn access to the Tomorrowland quest. Clearly the Quests are Disney's explicit push to move people from VMK into the park$, and to that end, it wouldn't make sense to limit your marketing push to the best scorers only. Since I've shot down your theory, I'll offer one of my own:  I think the Tomorrowland quest link will be something secret you click on in the game that triggers a VMK message with a link, similar to the high scores links. This link, in turn, will launch a PDF. My best guess for where this will be is Star Trader's shop since today's Newsletter hints at being able to buy space furniture there...doesn't it all seem so neat when I explain it that way? :) Muahaha....if only I ran the circus. GreatGatsby 07-12-2005, 05:31 PM Muahaha....if only I ran the circus. Alas, if you did, I'd be afraid the tigers would be running loose. :) Nevertheless, I think you may be right. I'm certain it has something to do with the existing Tomorrowland sections, including the shop. Or . . . hmmm . . . maybe that coming soon screen?? The one . . .AH HA . . . the one where some guests were getting the "this area does not exist" messages recently?? Huh? Huh? But maybe not. *sigh* For all I know, it's behind a tree in the Snow White forrest. sonofshine 07-12-2005, 05:34 PM Alas, if you did, I'd be afraid the tigers would be running loose. :) lol so true ;) Dylan 07-12-2005, 05:37 PM Well if becky is right than i think VMK cast members figured out that people leak information for other people to read so i think they figured "Hey if we make it high score list prizes then people who win will just leak out the site to others." if thats that the case :) yay i can save my energy for the quest instead of searching for it Heartsdown 07-12-2005, 09:38 PM Id like to Shoot your theroy down Mrgenie i have talked to a cast member from disenyland they said it should be out around sometime this month and that it will be a quest you print out from the home page of vmk sorry to burst your bubble.... i mean theory.......And have a nice day MrGenie 07-12-2005, 09:46 PM Id like to Shoot your theroy down Mrgenie i have talked to a cast member from disenyland they said it should be out around sometime this month and that it will be a quest you print out from the home page of vmk sorry to burst your bubble.... i mean theory.......And have a nice dayYou'd like to shoot down my theory but are sorry to burst my bubble...okay, I guess those aren't entirely mutually exclusive. ;) Your report makes sense to me, but they did say the URL would be hidden so at the very least I wouldn't expect to find it on the front page of the VMK home page. Maybe they'll bury it on the "Credits" page that contains basically no content (and leads me to believe that sulake doesn't have creative control over the home page). Or, maybe they'll bury this along the lines of the "Contact Us" link at the very bottom of the page in tiny font; seriously, have you ever seen a more obscure path for beta testers to take when trying to improve the game? :D Pharoah6905 07-12-2005, 11:52 PM well, if someone finds it please just tell us that it exists (meaning it has been released, since we already know it will eventually be there) and if you wouldnt mind maybe giving us a hint of where to look or telling us where it is... :pirate: Thanks a bunch. P.S. please dont forget to add the word "spoiler" to the title if you post anything that might be considered a spoiler Dsnylndr 07-13-2005, 12:27 AM could it be that they put it in the Tomorrowland section of the Fireworks game? I'll never get to that level again cuz I truly stink at that game! Just sharing a thought! DorrianGray 07-13-2005, 12:53 AM I went on VMK now and a little notice came up saying that they will celebrate the 50th ann. and space MT. by doing some stuff on the 16th and 17th. also included in the list was...be the first to try out the new Tomorrowland Quest echo42 07-13-2005, 09:40 AM yea im hittin up the park on friday and i hope to have the quest in hand when i do! prisoner 07-13-2005, 11:55 AM Or, maybe they'll bury this along the lines of the "Contact Us" link at the very bottom of the page in tiny font Thats it! They'll send the URL to everyone that they send email to in response to a "Contact Us" request. Which means... nobody! (Ahem... uh... but that set of rants really belong somewhere else... don't they...) Anyway - the "Coming Soon" and "Star Traders" shops are the most likely. I looked around both earlier yesterday to no success. Dylan 07-13-2005, 12:09 PM yea im hittin up the park on friday and i hope to have the quest in hand when i do! oh darn im going Thursday (tomorrow) (a day before you) that stnks. would of met someone i knew on vmk fan site mrskellington 07-13-2005, 02:13 PM could it be that they put it in the Tomorrowland section of the Fireworks game? I'll never get to that level again cuz I truly stink at that game! Just sharing a thought! That could be a suggestion but only some people would get to that level meaning that only certain people could get the URL so I don't know now lol! :CastMem: Mrskellington GreatGatsby 07-13-2005, 02:47 PM could it be that they put it in the Tomorrowland section of the Fireworks game? I'll never get to that level again cuz I truly stink at that game! Just sharing a thought! I highly doubt that. The purpose of the quests is to get you to go to DLR or WDW. What would be the point of making it TOO difficult to find the Tomorrowland quest? If it's too difficult and guests can't locate it, Disney runs the risk of dissuading a potential customer from going to a park as a result. If more guests print it out, more guests may go to the parks just to play the quest. . . . ah . . . of course . . . mrskellington 07-13-2005, 02:52 PM I highly doubt that. FlyThenFall 07-13-2005, 05:42 PM Does that mean tomorrowland is opening? Sadly, that's still a no. But look on the bright side, the Teleportation Pin will be in wide release now, and there will be another thing for the "Haves" to have and the "Have Nots" to not have! ::Sarcasto-Meter off:: I'm going to try getting some extras for some friends though...that is if I can find it by this afternoon! GreatGatsby 07-13-2005, 06:15 PM and by going to the parks they also spend money on food, trinkets, parking, drinks, drinks, drinks, drinks. lol Right, right, right, right, right, right, right. You've discovered the hidden key to VMK!! I think you deserve a badge with a big $ on it! :) greenhpper 07-13-2005, 06:18 PM Can I have a matching hat too?:D GreatGatsby 07-13-2005, 06:23 PM Can I have a matching hat too?:D Yes, a Scrooge McDuck hat seems appropriate. Back on topic, another location seems appropriate for the print-out quests. VMK Central has the Haunted Mansion poster that talks specifically about quests. I'd put it here, myself. greenhpper 07-13-2005, 06:51 PM <Puts on Scrooge Hat> Ooo! I've got a guess. The monorail station or the monorail itself! It deson't really serve a purpose right now other than a mickey spot. DorrianGray 07-13-2005, 07:20 PM there is also the chance they might fool everyone and put it somewhere no one will consider, like one of the jungle cruise scenes, on main street, and so on. I don't think that is fair that some people just go to the park just to do some silly online game. I have never been to DisneyWorld because we don't have the money. Disney doesn't realize that not everybody in this world can live in Florida and be loaded! Not that anything is wrong with that, it's just not fair. ~ELASTIGIRL  echo42 07-13-2005, 08:18 PM oh darn im going Thursday (tomorrow) (a day before you) that stnks. would of met someone i knew on vmk fan site you going to DLR or WDW? Not that anything is wrong with that, it's just not fair. ~ELASTIGIRL  That's a good point, and it isn't fair. When VMK finally got the print-out rewards working, I was surprised when they turned out to be rewards you have to take into the parks -- and they had expirations dates, too! But Disney made VMK mostly to advertise the parks. That's why it's free. So their whole thing is to get you to go to DLR or WDW. There's just no getting around that part. And it isn't fair, but we need to individually decide if we want that unfairness or want to have to pay to play VMK. It's a tough choice. mrskellington 07-13-2005, 11:08 PM That's a good point, and it isn't fair. I play VMK when I am not at the park and when I do go to the park I don't play but the heck man, I am at the park! :goofy: greenhpper 07-13-2005, 11:11 PM I don't think that is fair that some people just go to the park just to do some silly online game. Not that anything is wrong with that, it's just not fair. ~ELASTIGIRL  OffT: I'm a bit offended by this comment about Florida and being loaded. First, there are parks in CA as well as FL. Second, we are not all LOADED, I'm a single parent scraping by but I try to do things economically for my son. I do sympathize with you about it not being fair but not to sound cold, that's life . It's not fair. :( Hopefully you will be able to trade with someone for the items you seek as the game ages and items are more readily available. I would think that most items will eventually be available or ppl will leave VMK due to all the things they can not get. The ppl who go to the parks will be those who can, those who want the latest and greatest, those who want to brag, and those who just want to show everyone what's coming soon. I would think the goal of VMK is to keep eveyone interested in the game and the parks in the event that one day you would be able to visit a park. Perhaps, making some friends who visit the parks regualrly and asking them to help you might work. OnT: I think it really does us no good to continue debating where it will be or not be. Unless they programers goof, I doubt it will be found before it's released for us to find. For all we know there could be a giant neon sign saying "click here!". :D Pharoah6905 07-13-2005, 11:42 PM I don't think that is fair that some people just go to the park just to do some silly online game. I love vmk and do NOT think it is "Some silly onling game" :mickey2: DarkKnightCecil 07-14-2005, 01:13 AM I don't think its completely unfair. I mean just because you don't get some exclusive furniture or items or rooms doesn't mean its unfair. I mean if those items were for sale then why would soem one waste their time doing a silly little quest. Hence the word EXCLUSIVE. lane junky05 07-14-2005, 01:45 AM i agree. And when i did the fantasy quest at disneyland one of the rewards as the fantasy castle pin that i can just buy in the game. USELESS. Dsnylndr 07-14-2005, 07:08 PM Maybe just maybe they put it on the Monorail poster in town square under the berm...Well tried it...no clicky...maybe we hafta buy the monorail poster...ummmm 1000 for it no way and not fair either...link link where is the link...the search continues!!!!! Pharoah6905 07-14-2005, 11:02 PM I figured it out... Kinda... I dont know where it is but i dont think it exists yet because the site says "What's New 07/11/2005 - Competition and prizes this weekend All day July 16th and 17th, play VMK for your chance to win magic spells, buy exclusive stuff, and be the first to download the new Tomorrowland park Quest." Therefore, i think you will only be able to get it on those days FlyThenFall 07-15-2005, 01:08 AM Well, I just got back from Disneyland and I stopped by VMK Central regarding the quests. After the CM finding out I am a VMK freak (I told her I was a CL and she was like...what's up with you kid?) I asked her about the Tomorrowland quest. She told me it will be available on July 17, therefore if you're not going to be at the parks on or after that day...you're not going to be able to do the quest. She said they're saving the best quest...for the 50th. So, stop the looking around. She said they're not trying to hide anything! ;) Hope this helps...you not spending hours trying to find the quest like I did... clydeguy 07-15-2005, 01:51 AM so that means you can only so it on the 17th? like JUST the 17? if so that stinks! echo42 07-15-2005, 08:25 AM Well, I just got back from Disneyland and I stopped by VMK Central regarding the quests. I was told yesterday by the CM at the booth that the TL quest would be available starting Sunday just like all the other quests are now available. It's not supposed to be a one day thing. -DD Disney Girl 07-15-2005, 04:49 PM :wave2: :wave2: :CastMem:  :cat1: :10_1_23: :luxhello: :wave2: I believe the Tomorrowland Quest is going to be the Top High Scores Print-Out ;) Maybe, and maybe it will only be active from the 16-17th. my sister jasminejasmine said that you need to print something and go to disney and give it to vmkcentral then they will give u the quest and then u will be able to download tomorrowland on vmk Elastigirl 07-15-2005, 07:16 PM hi to everybody who read my post on the second page sorry about what i said yesterday. i was just frustrated. VMK is not a silly online game, but is a safe fun way for kids to meet others. i'm sorry about what i said about being loaded, it wasn't true. There is absolutly nothing wrong with having money i just get frustrated with disney sometimes. i'm sorry if i offended anybody. ~Elastigirl GreatGatsby 07-15-2005, 07:25 PM hi to everybody who read my post on the second page sorry about what i said yesterday. i was just frustrated. There is absolutly nothing wrong with having money i just get frustrated with disney sometimes. i'm sorry if i offended anybody. ~Elastigirl Very very nice apology. It takes a lot to say you're sorry about something, and there are many other members here who feel too important to apologize when they say something wrong here. So I think you did a wonderful thing just now. I had responded to your post the first time, and I still think you made some good points. So while I think it's great for you to say sorry, don't forget you said some other important things and it was necessary for you to get them out to others. It gets frustrating some times, especially since you see other VMK guests showing off stuff players like you have a harder time getting. I know you're especially angry about the things people can get at the parks. I still agree it's not fair, but that's how a lot the Disney Company works right now. So focus on the stuff you CAN do that's cool, and ignore that other stuff if you can. Elastigirl 07-15-2005, 07:30 PM Very very nice apology. It takes a lot to say you're sorry about something, and there are many other members here who feel too important to apologize when they say something wrong here. So I think you did a wonderful thing just now. Wow, that really meant a lot to me. I felt soooo bad when I read all those other posts. I think with the Internet it is easy to forget that there are other people out there that are going to read what you say and care. You made me feel so much better! ~Elastigirl GreatGatsby 07-15-2005, 09:29 PM :D anytime Meechie 07-16-2005, 12:36 PM Well, Disney is our home away from home, so some CM's in VMK Central are beginning to recognize our family when we walk in :) (and so far they're not rolling their eyes when we walk in :lol) and they told us a few days ago that each quest is good for 30 days, not only 1 day. I realize that still makes it difficult for many to play every quest, so I'm wondering if the quests will either be repeated, or if Disney is offering the quest in hopes to bring in more "in state" and local residents to make more money. Because even though we have annual passes, and take our own snacks/drinks, we still end up spending between $10.00-$30.00 on each visit. (BTW, we're far from loaded, living paycheck to paycheck, but we cut out other things to do more Disney, plus in-state residents receive nice discounts on tickets and resorts.) And as for the print out code you have to take to a Disney park to receive the prize, atleast the expiration date is over a year away. I personally don't think it should have an expiration date, but it could be worse, like if they had said it was only good for 30 days from the time it's won. I mean when you think about coupons in general, most are only good for 30 days. SparkleMeTink 07-16-2005, 03:56 PM Has anyone FOUND the tomorrowland quest yet? I found the link!
