To commemorate the re-opening of Space Mountain, we want you to decorate your room in a way that shows how "spacey" you can be. Don't limit yourself to outer space — remember, there are many kinds of space.

Specifics: The room name MUST start with the word space to be eligible. Judging begins at 5:00pm Eastern on Saturday. Any rooms not completed and named properly by this time cannot be considered. Winners will be announced on Monday in our Newsletter.

Wow! This sounds like great news! I really really realy want to enter the room contests. But I don't know what they're looking for. Right now my first room is decorated like "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" for my game that I hold every so often. My other room just has a few teleporters and cool furniture that I claim I "stole" (Arrrg!). Maybe I should redecorate my room!

But the deal was no parks. So yes i am bummed. Sence it going to be sooo packed all i can do it go to the water parks and swim at the resport.

They said don't keep it to just SPACE space. They said any space.

However, I believe you'll need some Tomorrowland Items in there just to be safe to being with.

Now if only VMK would let me on so I can get the last 100 credits I need for the Astro-Orbiter lamp. :mad:

Yes, but you could just put space and then a comma and then what should come before. Or space and then the whole name.

This is my dilema as well. Fitting it into a space theme isn't hard, but the judges might not "get it". Maybe I can find dictionary words to explain it.Mine involves Science Fiction and Fantasy. A dragon that can travel Space and Time collecting and hoarding things it likes. Anything from the Magic Mirror to Lumeire to even several pairs of glass slippers.

As a safety, I put in a few Flying Saucer chairs and an Astro Orbiter lamp.

I doubt they will get it as well. Even if you read the room description, it falls more into the relam of Fantasy than space.

Im going to guess its limited to one room. They dont have time for linked rooms. Also this is now up in the directions.

The only thing you need to do to sign up is make sure the first word in the room name is either Space or Celebration. At least, that's what I got out of the instructions.

Since the contests are on different days and have different themse I think it means one room per theme. I think they were just trying to not have people link all their rooms together and try to get the judges to see all of them as if it were one room. I say try it, worst that can happen is the second day they won't accept your entry.

My space room is based on the old Flying Saucer ride that was in Disneyland a long time ago.

When the tomorrowland quest is found this weekend (that's when we're assuming it will be out, right?), will it's location be posted in this thread, or will someone create a new thread for it? It might be a little hard to look through 70-something posts to find one little piece of info (kind of like a needle in a haystack!) and many people have already said "has anyone found tomorrowland quest ?" so I don't know how useful 'search this thread' will be! :)

They are talking about the announcement in the VMK community newsletter about two contests this weekend and the new Tomorrowland Quest. Reading the first post on this thread (http://www.vmkforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=25174&postcount=1) might help understand.

What time does the judging start for people in California?

I think that the ten pm judging time is very unfair for those of us who don't live in the US (and young kids who have to be in bed before then).
For my room to be judged, I have to be here from 2am to 6am, and even in the US, kids will have to stay up until 1am EST (how many 8 year olds will be allowed to stay up until then?)
It's a weekend, surely we have all been on here most of the day, when it would be easier for them to judge everyone who wanted to enter.

my daughter's birthday was this very day. She spent it at Disneyland. When she went in, someone welcomed her, and when she told them it was her birthday, they gave her a sticker saying that and wishing her happy birthday.

i would love to have my birthday at Disneyland But NOT TODAY. I went at night time and it was crowded and everything was sold out. And if you wanted to get something that was out only on that day you had to Camp out in line lol physco's.
