What makes me happy is I can wear mine again. Everytime you walk into a room with those on you get blasted with trade requests. Now everyone can have a pair! Hip Hip Hooray.

If the higher ups want to, they could re-release EVERYTHING back at the same time. Thus, the only valuable things would be the quest stuff (which would FORCE people to go to the Disney parks). I'll admit, it is fun to collect beta and rare stuff, but ending the whole beta hunt would change trading a lot.

1000 Credits for two..when it first came out it was about 200

bad decision by vmk here. I don't undertstand why they keep rereleasing stuff instead of making more brand new things. one of the main attratctions to vmk is the trading and showing off of rare things. pretty soon there will be no need to trade things because everyone will already have everything. the only hope i have left is that magic carpet will be so expensive that the amount out there will be unbelievably small. because then i will finally have something that i can consider truly rare. oh well

Surely this will make the sorceror ears much less rare. (like most items now...I think only the space suit is still "rare" cause hardly anyone has beaten Blast In Space).

Oh well, as others have said, new peeps sign up each day so someone will want a pair and then I'll be able to say how rare they are...or just be nice and give it to them for a trade of equal value (500 credits plus 100 credit a month interest:Tongue: )

I am totaly in disagreement with VMK for rereleasing this hat! What a STUPID IDEA! This hat was so rare and sought after I was willing to trade 36 expensive items for it, and almost did. However, I was able to get a better deal and am only out 16 items, but they are good items, magic etc. The downfall for me is that I just traded for the dang hat two days ago so I am stuck with a worthless hat that cost me a fortune! The fun of having the hat, as others have stated, was it's rarity, and difficulty in getting. There is very little on VMK at the moment for me to get excited about, they are selling everything to everyone. Herbie stuff is a dime a dozen! They sell the Sorcerer Hat in Disneyland and all the parks, would it not have been a smart idea to give a code card with the purchase of that hat? A more intelligent idea for this hat and I thought of it long ago when I first started my quest to become an owner of one. My thoughts stemed from seeing the gold ears given with the purchase of the gold ears hat or any hat so I have heard, wouldn't this be a great hat to add to that list? Well, it would have been, would have made Disney some real money, would have made the hat more available but not commonplace. Instead, VMK releases this very sought after hat for imaginary credits, and Disney loses out on untold "REAL MONEY" I thought the idea of VMK was to draw people into the parks and the profitable marketing of the Disney name? I don't get it? I am not upset about the items I lost in the trade for the hat, I am upset that my new hat is now worthless due to a bad decision to release this hat to the general VMK playing public instead of continueing to make it desirable, yet more obtainable by making available an in park only code, which would have made all happy! :wave2:

TommyC&C I can see why you are dissapointed, but litterally you are taking the fun out of the game for yourself. So some "rare" items are losing value; so what? You said it yourself, its not real! Time to move on :)

That's the same way that I felt after they sold the Space Suit and Yellow Dress. I learned to live with it. Now I am poor, but I still have fun on vmk. :)

Think of it this way: the more people that sign up for VMk, the rarer the items get. As in before new people 80% get the sorcerer ears. The number of sorcerer ears stays the same after that, but when more people join, the rarity goes up because there may have been 2500/3000 people that had them but now theres 2500/5000 or 50% or whatever. It's ok if you don't get it. I don't think I get it!! Xd lol

I had the Following in my Signature, before the Sorcerer Ears were re released.

"Will Trade Rare Tour and Pirate Stuff for Sorcerer Ears or Inferno".

Within Minutes of the ears coming out, I got at least a dozen poeple offering Sorcerer ears for lots of my rare items. ( before I had a chance to buy them and change my signature)

Had I not seen so many people wearing them, I may have gotten ripped off.
NOT one person told me they were re released, including people from this site!

I had checked Specials, early this morning, and did not see them.

I figured that had to be for sale , after so many offers, so I checked this site, and sure enough, there they were.

The same thing happened with the Princess Ears Hat.

I have not decided how I feel about the ears being released yet. But with that being said, I did buy a couple of them for the family though! LOL I realize that the fun of owning your ears was due to its rarity, but now that everyone has that option to buy, vmk has taken something away from you! What could be their rationale of making them available to the "public"? Some things I have noticed, that might have contributed to this, are: the number of people being scammed has definitely gone up (too many dishonest ones out there); the number of people just wanting a blind trade (they have nothing but expect the world); the number of reports staff must be receiving because people refuse to trade (my personal favorite! this has happened time and time again). I feel vmk has backed themselves into a corner with some of the things that they have allowed. If the playing field has been leveled, then maybe they think they can gain control back. We will just have to wait and see to what their next move will be. If we all could remember that this is truly a game, then maybe these extreme measures would not have to be taken!
