i have some tips that helped me out

1. Be Original
2. Don't Copy Soneone Else's Room Name
3. Don't Copy Their Game Show/Attraction/Ride/Etc...
4. just mess around with your furniture when trying to make your room great. Who knows what will happen?

Could other people answer the questions?

-The best way to get your room judged is to have a nice title, and maybe put in the description that it is not judged. My room was judged while it was popular, and I don't even know why. I was sitting in my room afk, and next thing I know, VMK_Mocha was in my room! People said she judged it, so give me some luck!

SS-I have some advice I can toss in.
1-Make the room accesible, make sure you can click pretty much everywhere in the room, people, especially guests, like to move around a lot.
2-Add some costly things in huge amounts, such as HKDL lamps all around the edge or a lot of palm, this will make people walk in and say "Wow!"
3-Dont be saying you will give everyone something if you win BGR,if staff finds that out they will not only ignore your room, but will not even bother with any other rooms you may have(found this out the hard way on my sys's account)

what is the best/easiest way to get your room judged for best guest room?

the easiest way to get judged is to have your room filled with people and friends that u invited! also remember to tell all of your guests to invite their friends too! also if u have a CL_ Friend in your room, DO NOT ask them to invite staff, only VMK_Annie judges rooms and she may not come if u invite her, u can try but dont get your hopes up!

well i would say that that could make it but it just depends if the rules are not too complicated and that it is ery easy to play! LOOKS GREAT THOUGH!

could one of u come see mine? its called the "The Chill! hang out room"

here is some advice for you. most chill/hang out rooms wont even get staff in to judge! only exceptionally wonderful rooms (for example DaBEEF's relaxing tent room has a ton of "same color" things in it and has many fountains and palm trees) so it must use expensive stuff to even make the top lists!

also post a picture so i can see!

I too, have been a Best Guest Room Winner(trying to ber humble...) so here's my advice based on my room:
1- To get the Cast Members attention and to let them judge your room, invite friends, then tell them to invite, and so on, pretty soon you will have a ton of people coming in...
2- Ofcourse, a much more obvious one, try to be unique, create something "Never Seen Before In VMK"
3- Don't follow what other past room winners have done, if you are creative enough, you'll be the one creating the trends
4- Add a little detail, symmetry and perfect shapes don't need to be had, as long as it is easy to get around your room, and it seems fairly organized, you're set to go...
Finally- Try to find a way to have a "Hidden Aspect" to your room, for instance, I had a "hidden" Mickey, it just let people stay in your room trying to find something hidden, their time in there will help to let you reach the top of the popular rooms list... :)

yes u need to keep people in your room and dont let them leave!

also! remember your favorite TV Show (most likely a game show) and make your room on that! i won with that idea so that may help u a lot!

I'd like to add my thoughts, some of which will disagree with some previous posts.

Don't worry about how many people are in your room

I don't know how many weeks I spent on the top of the popular room list, with staff members almost never showing up. I don't know what it was that finally attracted them to look at my room - but I don't think it was how popular it was.

Pretend you're a Disney Imagineer...

...and you are building something that will actually be built in Disneyland. (The rest of my suggestions expand on this.)

Think of a Story, and Tell that Story

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Story. Story. Story. It's all about the story.

The story can be one that you make up, or based on a story that you know. It can be a true story or a story that you are making up. A story that you have seen on tv, or in a movie, or in the real world. You could be showing a scene from the story, several scenes, adding to the story, or just inspired by the story.

But think of a story.

Then figure out how to bring that story into the world of VMK. You can do a game based on that story (easier if your story is a game already), or a scene from it, or just be inspired by the setting or the characters.

Think about how Disney makes its rides - they start with a story and they figure out what to do from there.

Ok... enough about the story. :) But you should!

Attention to Detail

Everything is important. Every chair you place, every place you put it. Detail counts, especially when you have some narrow restrictions about where you can put things and how. Think about what will look good, and where, and why. Think about how things really will interact with each other. Think about the best way to do what you want to do. How will people use your room, and how can you shape your room to influence that? How will placement of things enhance telling the story? (Oops... I said it again... :))

Don't be (too) stingy

Save your credits. Plan for what you want. You don't need the most expensive things, but plan for what you do need and be prepared to spend it. Mixing different themes is fine if that is what you want to do, but detracts from a room if you didn't mean to look random. And if it detracts from the room - you will have trouble telling your story.

Be daring and experiment

Do something different. Use the furniture differently. Take other ideas and use them in a new way. Try something and see if it works - if you don't like it, you can try something else!

Finally... don't try to win

Are you building a room to win the prize? Re-think your priorities.

Who knows how long it will take till your room is discovered. Even once it is, who knows how long till you actually get picked. In the meantime, you have to enjoy this room! Don't get me wrong - I love having the reward, but nowhere near enough to have run the game over and over as I did. I had to have been having fun before I got recognized!

The staff know this - they won't pick rooms that people aren't enjoying and actively using. So make sure you're having fun with your room.

Don't expect to win, and who knows... you might get a pleasant surprise!

Good luck!

On VMK i always just pop in rooms to see their layouts and what not. I'm not one for poping in and chatting a bunch, but i do do that occasionally. But funny enough, i'm basically a room critic. When ever im not on VMK designing my on room, im always out criticing others.

Through this I've found out that nearly every room with their floor's completely covered with rugs, and other things makes a great statement. Without rugs covering the entire floor the floor tends to be boring. But don't over do it with stuff you either can't sit on or you can't stand on.

DETAIL IS IMPORTANT.

It varies slightly, but in general it is:

The pin
Some credits (I have heard them award different values from 500 to 2000)
A new room (Usually a rare one. I got the Haunted Mansion room. Others have gotten the tent room.)

Sometimes people have gotten new items as well.

You do not get inferno. Usually that is for one of the event prizes.
