Hi, I just signed on today and I got as survey from VMK saying if I complete it, then I get one hundred credits! Anybody else get this?!

If they are sending out an email then they may be checking on emails to get rid of mules. I never got anything in my email. I read all disney mail.

How do I know this? Well I recieved only one, why you ask? Because I only made one mule in which I put my email adress as a parents email address. Oh I am a bad! LOL, But with my characters in which I did not use a parents email, instead my own (By Registering Over 13 Years Of Age) I did not recieve the email.

i just checked my Reputation under User CP and someone gave me bad rep just for saying, "i did not get it yet" (did not get the email) i am mad, why would you do something like that?

its sent on a random basis, because i have gotten two emails: one from a mule i created a couple of days ago, and on my main account, i got it YESTERDAY. its a marketing survey, and therefore wouldnt discriminate wether or not youre a parent or child. (and a reason that you might NOT get the email is if you checked the boxes during the registration, allowing disney to give your email to third parties.)

Actually it will be very difficult for them to run out of codes, I remember reading somewhere that the total code numbers is somewhere around like 3 trillion possibilities or something. If somebody is good at math and can figure it out, I praise them.

I don't think the codes will run out until they decide to discontinue the survey. Let me put it this way: Before the survey I had 15000 credits, currently I have 20000.

i know using the probability method in mathematics there will be trillion of codes. but keep in mind, not all of it are going to be codes for the survey. you do remember there are codes as well to get other stuff. so there could be a possibility that codes for the survey will run out, since everybody is doing the survey over and over and over again.

Even if VMK uses up all possible combinations of codes (very very unlikely), they can reuse old ones once they've been used. If it were to come to that.

i got my survey about 4 days ago. before it got leaked on this forum. i was able to get about 50 thousand credits. yes i know (500 or so surveys) i fear that since everybody started doin it. they may have disabled all new codes. i have about a hundred codes left that are unused. i will keep trying them:goofy:

Interestingly enough, my daughter got this email and I did not. It's nice to give out the credits but, how about those questions? Guess they are really trying to see if VMK is doing what it is meant to do......up the attendance at the parks. I found it interesting that one of the questions was about Animal Kingdom but EPCOT and MGM were not a part of the questionaire. And, for that matter, it seems there has been a new Kali River Rapids chair that has been spotted in Yvan's room. Do you think there may be a Virtual Animal Kingdom (VAK) in the works or at least thought process? Just some food for thought!:mickey2:

i am going to stop doing the survey to get credits because of these reasons:

1.VMK might catch on and ban us for "cheating"
2. I have a consience that will haunt me if i did it. (oh how i dislike my consience....)


We are probably doing this for the new costumes coming next week so it is more tempting then it usually is but fight it and earn credits the right way.If u keep on putting in codes for 100 credits they will catch on. they are not stupid.they will wonder were you are getting all these codes and assume you of cheating.

I would say mulesa re basically cheating, the only kind of way I get credits (most of the time for expensive stuff), but going this low is sort of sad. By submitting a survey, they check your answers and use them to guide their business. If you answer random stuff...it really isn't helpful.

I got a survey in email, and one when I made a new character. I haven't done the email one yet :P

You can just open up the link on Page 1 and take the survey, it is no different from our e-mail! :) and DudeRiku, your conscience is good, unlike mine, it's saying

20 Codes In 2 Minutes!

I think it is extremely unfair to take the survey over and over again. It may mess up the amount of codes left, leaving other FAIR people left with nothing. This is not the same as mules, this is cheating to a horrible level.

Give me a bad rep if you want, but that cant stop me from saying that.

The survey was to let us voice our opinions. The credits were just a treat for doing it. I think it is mean to take advantage of something where they let us be heard.

Bubbles is right, no one else plz do not take the survey if you have alreadyd one so, we need to respect Disney for doing nice things like this and do not abuse them. Thanks for making me understand bubbles. I AM SORRY FOR ALL THIS I HAVE DONE :) .

well i think its an easy formula to figure out. there are 26 letters, and 9 numbers they can possibly use. there are 16 spots. so lets see, 26 + 9= 35...so 35 to the 16th power??? isn't this how you figure it out. that would be 5.070942775x10 to the 24. which is 5 and 24 zero's!!!! i'm not compleley sure if this is the way to figure it out, but it sounds right. ^_^

MrGenie did this way back when. There are 26 characters and actually 10 digits (can't forget 0), so it's 36^16. i.e. 36*36*36*36*.....*36 a total of 16 times.

For a grand total of 7.959*10^24. Essentially the same number, once you've added that many zeroes.

So what's the point here? Right, VMK is not running out of codes anytime soon.

Here are my questions:

1. Is the URL on the link the same for everyone who got ones of these letters?

There is a pin number on the link posted and I wonder if this is a seperate URL per email address.

2. You know that they can see your ISP number and then compare that to VMK records to compare records. In theory they would then know which computers had done the survey thousands of times and ban that computer.
In theory they know which code number went to which survey and thus they would know which computer produced that code and which computer used that code. That means that using the library to get codes and home to enter codes could not help you keep from trouble.

3. Where are the rules for this survey?
Usually there are some sort of rules attached to cover themselves.

Well, I just assumed all digits were fair game (out of habit with math problems). So I went back and checked the cards I do have and not one of them have a 0 or an O on them. That could easily be chance though, considering that I don't have many cards.

Bottom line, we're in the right range of a whole lot of zeroes tacked onto any number that makes running out of codes pretty unrealistic.

Sweephunter: There are unique numbers attached to each URL, I compared the one in my email to the one posted in this thread. So I'm sure the latter has been used hundreds of times by this point. I'm surprised VMK didn't disable the specific URL after one use, but who knows.
