Hi,
I'm new to VMK and to this board and have been reading people talk about mules, which I've searched and found out are extra accounts that you make. When you make one though, do you enter all the same information that you did for your main character or does it not matter? Do you use the same user name and password? I think that one is probably a no, but I'm double checking.

Also, VMK doesn't mind people doing this? You won't get banned or anything? And is there a limit?

I'm kind of hesitant to do this because it seems like cheating, but my curiousity has been roused.

Thanks for any clarification.

First of all you enter DIFFERENT Information lol
Second VMK does not like the fact that we do this, but they don't gots the power yet lol besides if they banned all of us, there would be no players lol also there is no such thing as a ' limit '

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Don't know if I'll do it, but it's nice to know.

I promise I won't do this, believe me, but It's just something that I've always wondered. If you make a new account, and say/do something against the VMK values, and get banned for doing/saying it, will you still be able to use your normal account still or will it be banned too?

Depends on whether they ban that individual character or your entire IP address.

:CastMem: :pluto:Listen if u create another character ALL INFO of that player is separate from ur original(first character). You can go on and get daily creds from matterhorn and so on and if u have access to two computers that u can use. Open up one character on one then the other and if u wish u can trade or just give stuff to ur main character. Many ppl do this. If they banned ppl for this they would lose about two-thirds of the vmk population, so they wouldn't do that for the sake of their site. You have nothing to worry about. This is legal.(in vmk terms)

Well... the thing is, it's not really 'legal' in VMK terms, but VMK just chooses to look the other way about it. As far as I know, there is no set rule about this, and I highly doubt VMK will make a rule about it. But if you choose to make a mule to just go around and insult people, I would be careful, because under certain circumstances if they give your mule account a 'permanent 10 year ban' that will also ban any other accounts you have from working. Just making sure you understand the risks ;)

There is absolutely nothing against making mules in the VMK house rules. The cast members at Innoventions in Disneyland even show people how to create more characters.

You can get in trouble for selling VMK accounts, but not for creating your own extra characters and using them in the game. (Assuming you are following all the other VMK rules!)

They don't like when people do it, and I have heard from staff that they are going to make a rule about it.

If you use the same email address/user name for each of your mules is it ok? Do they call you on it? If you have to use a different one every time do you just make it up? Thanks.

You can't use the same e-mail. I still don't think you should make mules, it is a unfair way to play the game, and takes away the purpose of playing games to earn credits.

I agree. I am just trying to figure out a way to get my Fireworks magic to a 5 star without having to trade for four more. I wish it gave you one every time you got to 240,000.

Thanks though.

So what do you do about email address then? can you put something like
ajkfdakjsdfjasd@kfdksa;fnaskfsa.com

Or does it have to be a real address?
I'm heard of people with thousands of mules (which I don't really agree with) but how do they do it? They can't possibly have that many email addresses.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

How does that work? If you use a different e-mail address, different names and basically a totally different account, how can they know to ban all of them? Would that mean that no one else in the family could play under their characters? because typically it is the same thing.

You can use a gibberish e-mail since you don't need to go to that e-mail address to confirm anything.

All I am saying is that besides our e-mail addresses and any other info we put into VMK, I'm sure that staff also logs our IP addresses as well. If a person makes 50 mules in one day, all logging them in on the same computer one after another, every IP address for those accounts would be the same. All I am saying is that if VMK were to impose a rule about limiting the number of mules that each person creates, they would have a way to monitor the situation when it comes to where each account is logging in and when.

Just another thing that I've heard: You can make up a completely fake e-mail address for your account BUT for the title to be approved and the account to still function after a while, the e-mail address must exist somewhere. However, not necessarily an e-mail address owned by you. The problem with that is if by some crazy coincidence a person with the same e-mail address that you put into make the mule decided to make a VMK account, they would not be able to since the e-mail is already taken. All I am saying is, be cautious if you were to make dozens of dozens of mules because VMK is always watching.... :)

You can use a gibberish e-mail since you don't need to go to that e-mail address to confirm anything.

The only drawback to using a gibberish e-mail is if something should happen to your character (ie: bad trade, bugs, etc.), you won't be able to report it. Well, you could report it if you remembered all the details you inputted when you created your mule, but VMK would not be able to respond back to you. I was trading something to myself one time, when the trade window crashed and I lost my item. Luckily, I always use a valid e-mail addresss when I create mules, so VMK was able to get back to me regarding my issue.
