View Full Version : OMG!! I'm a mom! Not really ;)
Faithrella 10-18-2005, 12:03 AM Today, in our school's Life Skills class, we were given eggs to take care of, as if we were parents! My best friend got twin boys, and I got one girl. Her name is Faith Leann, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. Tell me what you think, and what would you do if you had this assignment. My "baby" egg is "taking a bath" right now. lol lol  My name may seem weird to some, but I name everything of mine Faith. My VMK character, my Toontown character, and my egg baby are all named Faith! lol I just love this assignment... Except when my brother threatens to throw my egg against the wall. lol Bye all! Have a great night! :)
Yours Very Faithfully,
CoolLadyFaith (aka Mommy) :princess:
AshleyM 10-18-2005, 12:04 AM Lol, congrats!!! I like that name. Faith Leann. :)
sealy 10-18-2005, 12:09 AM once, a while ago..(about 4 years) we got these oranges that we named and gave them faces, we had to take care of them for like, a week. at the end of the week, people either ate theirs, or threw them against the wall, lol
have fun with ur asignment!!!
-Sealy
SpinMarty 10-18-2005, 12:38 AM At our school we have the life-like babies (called Baby Think It Over) that have the electronics in them. They cry, you have to hold them, change them, etc. They would cry at all hours and require you to stop what you were doing to take care of it. Many found that this was an awesome approach and much more life like than an egg or an orange. The drawback is that they can be expensive to buy a set for the school.
Good luck with your egg.
prisoner 10-18-2005, 12:38 AM My "baby" egg is "taking a bath" right now.
Wait... your baby is taking a bath... and you're not supervising it?
It could drown! And you're just puttering away on a computer!
:)
Good luck with the assignment
thegoof 10-18-2005, 12:39 AM I can not wait until we have to do that :( Boys do not like that kind of things
CuteHaliey 10-18-2005, 12:41 AM Wait... your baby is taking a bath... and you're not supervising it?

QueenCourt 10-18-2005, 12:52 AM Thats cool We do the thing SpinMarty does, and we have a partner (of the other gender)

NoniNoni 10-18-2005, 01:06 AM Congrats new ''mom'' lol ;)

Faithrella 10-18-2005, 01:38 AM OMG!! Prisoner, that was soooo funny!! :lachen70: My egg was sitting in my (fake) "bathtub" right next to the computer with me. Don't worry, she won't drown. I think my classmates are scared of me, because I'm taking it so seriously. lol I always make A's, so I am trying to get another one, and taking this seriously. Thanks for all of your comments everyone! I really appreciate all your thoughts. ;) I will do my best. My egg is now "sitting" in front of me as I'm typing. lol Bye all!! :)
Yours Very Faithfully, In Motherhood and Out,
Mommy Faith :princess:
shiregirl 10-18-2005, 01:42 AM awwww... You know what's missing from this thread, right? When people announce they have a new baby, it is incumbent upon them to drown the rest of us in pictures of the adorable little thing. I want to see cute wittle Faith! Anyways, congratulations on Motherhood. :)
Haydenfan 10-18-2005, 01:47 AM It's a girl! ( and i hope you can read this! ) for ur egg why don't u get a mini baby doll crib so it can sleep at night! I have a feeling I am going to be doing that this year lol!
AshleighPink 10-18-2005, 01:50 AM I don't know if we do that lol but I do know we do it in high school with a baby like SpinMarty's. I remember at cheer practice our instructor (who was in high school) had one and we thought it was fake. We thought it was fake so we threw it up and down and swung it around. Hope she didn't get graded bad, but hey, she left it unattended.
Coolchewbaca 10-18-2005, 01:51 AM can u post a pic of ur baby?
Mickeylover55 10-18-2005, 01:53 AM I got the assigment today to My teacher said that we have egg babies {i hope i dont break it lol} I like This class alot its so cool!! Im going to decerate it and i hope i get a good grade :)

Good Luck, Dudie!
jab1235 10-18-2005, 02:34 AM i might take home eck in 7th grade ( next year ) should i
Chris 10-18-2005, 02:39 AM lol I had to do that two years ago for science class @_@
I hated that project.
La_Carlotta 10-18-2005, 02:40 AM Heh, that's wicked awsome! You should sit on it and see if it hatches... o.O What? It's just an idea. ;P Or.. Dye it Green, and write Green Day on it! . . . I would. Then I would have a much better time with that little egg. Even though we don't get one... Pfpht. Figures. That's what you get when you have the devil for your principal, I suppose. ;P Ah well. Next year, probably...
jamielan 10-18-2005, 02:52 AM i had to do a thing like it instead they were pilots. you see we had to make rockets that blasted off with real fire and everything and had to put our egg plots in them and hope they would not break when the rocket landed ahah i had a partner and our pilates names were meg and greg :D and also if we called them eggs we would lose marks
Iknowyou 10-18-2005, 11:57 AM I'll suggest that to my teacher in science...
sonofshine 10-18-2005, 12:05 PM I can not wait until we have to do that :( Boys do not like that kind of things
Actually..i think it would be kind of fun O.o
Faithrella 10-18-2005, 10:55 PM Hey all!
Unfortuntly, I cannot post a pic of it. I don't have a way to do it. lol But, my egg is dyed pink, (my teacher did it, not me) and I drew a face on it, but I didn't like the face, so I put White Out on the face, and I colored it in, and still didn't like it. So now, my baby has the face covered up with a sock. :paperbag: lol lol Right now, she is laying next to me in her crib. Asleep. For once. I changed her diper about 5000000000000 times today, AT LEAST! lol My teacher almost called the whole project off though, because some of the boys in my class cracked their eggs; on purpose! I was really upset, because I have been waiting to do this project for a looooooooooonnnnnnggggg time, and they go and try to ruin it. :bawling: Not trying to be rude, boys out there. ;) But any way... I have a soccer game tonight, and my mom is babysitting my egg. Well, gotta go! Leave your comments here plz! :)
Yours in Motherhood's ups and downs,

Snapdragon123 10-18-2005, 10:56 PM What a cool assignment! Good luck with that, Mommy Faith! ;)
LittleSpunky 10-18-2005, 11:03 PM Yes, i have to do the same thing, its FUN, i like it :) Also, good luck with ur game!
Those boys in ur class BETTER NOT ruin it! Because i know how fun it is tell someone does something to there egg on purpose!

im home school so i dont think i will be doing that? lol
PinkFrappuccino 10-18-2005, 11:12 PM That sounds cool and congrats, I did the same project when I was younger. Everyone kept attempting to destroy my egg though, my sister even followed me around with a frying pan. But my egg survived, thank goodness. :)
Appleson 10-18-2005, 11:13 PM well, if this is taking place in middle school, then i pretty much have nothing to say. i went to a private (catholic) school , so i guess we didn't do that. anyway, i think the name Faith Leanne is a great name. :)
Taryn 10-18-2005, 11:19 PM Wow, what a cool project! Unfortunately, I never got to do that project :( It sounded like fun though! My best friend got to, and she made her egg lots of little clothes, and named it...Delilah, I think, lol!
i had to do a thing like it instead they were pilots. you see we had to make rockets that blasted off with real fire and everything and had to put our egg plots in them and hope they would not break when the rocket landed ahah i had a partner and our pilates names were meg and greg :D and also if we called them eggs we would lose marks
Ooh, I did that a few years ago. Me and my partner shot our rocket the highest, it landed the furthest away, AND our egg was one of the few that didn't break ;) The secret? Lots and Lots of mini marshmallows, and duct tape. Works like a charm, haha
jamielan 10-19-2005, 09:42 PM Ooh, I did that a few years ago. Me and my partner shot our rocket the highest, it landed the furthest away, AND our egg was one of the few that didn't break ;) The secret? Lots and Lots of mini marshmallows, and duct tape. Works like a charm, haha
really:o wow thats weird. lol did you have 2 teams against each other?? usa and ussr?
astroUpwards 10-19-2005, 09:48 PM omg i just had to the assinment but not for extra credit this time and it is an egg but somehow it cries talks says"i made an uh oh) and also help and my sister thru it against the wall and and it yelled help as it was flying thru the air now it scrambled eggs bum bum buuuuuum
Minay 10-19-2005, 09:51 PM We had this project in 5th grade. We used eggs. Mine was Egglina :). We threw them at the chalkboard while our teacher was out of the room when the project was over. She didn't care though.
LittleBubbles 10-19-2005, 09:57 PM I have to do that later in the year xD My friends did it already, but I dont get to until next half. So I must wait until february for family and consumers science xD
some people who did it made a house--my best friend and another friend did that. some others just had a little container with cotton balls xP
Faithrella 10-20-2005, 03:28 AM Hello again! My egg is now in bed, lol, and I get to stay up late, because have a dentist's appointment in da morning! lol Baby Faith has to come to the dentist too. lol She has not cracked yet, and I gave her a bath and fed her tonight. ( The usual stuff ;) ) But some of the kids in my class gave up, and saddly, one kid threw his egg out the bus window... :( Poor little fellow... Didn't even have a chance... :( Well, gotta go. See you all later! Thanks for making some kind comments; I love hearing other ppl's thoughts. :)
Yours in the Ups and Downs of Motherhood,
Mommy Faith :princess:
PS: Appleson, I'm a catholic too! Cool! I go to a public middle school though. :)
PS2: The high school in my town is supposed to be getting those electronic babies. I think it would be so cool to have those! I heard a story, that a girl at another school's baby cried ALL night long, and the girl's mother went to the school to complain because the fake baby was programed wrong! lol
Taryn 10-20-2005, 05:23 AM really:o wow thats weird. lol did you have 2 teams against each other?? usa and ussr?
Lol, no, we had like 16 teams....we were in groups of two, and the class was pretty big
fundisneygrl 10-20-2005, 12:44 PM I remember when I did that in school. People starting getting nuts when they would babysit them and throw them outside against the wall. Some people even went and hard boiled them so they did not break. Except they did not think that the teacher would check that and she did and they failed. LOL... Well good luck with the project it is fun. Get creative I used to carry mine in a basket. Just to be silly.
jamielan 10-20-2005, 07:29 PM Lol, no, we had like 16 teams....we were in groups of two, and the class was pretty big
ohhhh was your rocket thing called space race? and was it classified as a simmulaion?
Taryn 10-20-2005, 09:51 PM ohhhh was your rocket thing called space race? and was it classified as a simmulaion?
It wasn't, lol. It didn't have a name....I'm pretty sure all of the science teachers in the country don't follow the exact same curriculum, haha ;)
Faithrella 10-21-2005, 01:08 AM Hello all.
Tommarow is my baby's last day. I have created a little "video" for it, so please watch it. http://artpad.art.com/?iooo7vwpevs I worked really hard on it, and I think you all will like it. :)
I'm sad, because, I'm so sensetive that I have grown "attached" to my little eggie poo! lol She is sleeping, because she had a long day today. I'm thinking of giving her a proper burial cerimony... lol Not really. But I am thinking of cracking her shell, and putting it in my "treasure" box. After the project is over, of course. Well, as the little "video" says, I will try to keep you posted on how tommarow goes. Wish me, and baby, luck. :( We will need it. :sadd2:

Baby is fine, but I'm kinda sad. The project is offically over, and I did not have to throw her away. YET. Tommarow, my mom says that I have to throw her out. :bawling: I told her I would, but that I wanted to properly put her to rest, so I will have a funeral tommarow. :sadd2: It will be sometime in the afternoon, so please think of us. :( I hope you have enjoyed this thread, because we both sure have. :) Thanks again for all your love and support. :(

April 11-03-2005, 10:48 PM Lol, have fun.
We have Baby Think It Over at my school too. Not sure if I want to do it, lol. It'll scare my cat.
Shadowblader 12-20-2005, 10:23 PM At our school we have the life-like babies (called Baby Think It Over) that have the electronics in them. omg in my school last year we had those kind of babies to take care of!
we even had a life science partner which everyone said was the wife/husband, how weird it was to me.
i was paired up with this girl who always HATED me!(i should not say names so i wont)
first week the baby was with me, she told me "this project is so stupid, why could'nt i have been paired up with a freakish geek that will get me a 100 on this stupid project?!" so i said "well if i had a choice i would want a divorce!" lol
later that next say she was really sad for some reason, her friends were surronding her so she would calm down so i could not see her then...
my friends were laughing cause i got a partner that hates my guts...
about 3 days later she told me we have to work together with the baby so i should come over. she did not even say anything threatning at all!!!
she was blusing when i came in, her little brother said "look its ur dream come true!"
i was so confused when she had that change of heart all the sudden.
i was trying to figure out why she was being nice to me all the sudden until her brother just came right in front of me...with her diary saying how she likes me...alot.
my eyes were just staring out to space when i read those words...my mind was just telling me "y does she like u? there alot of ppl she can be with but...why does she like me?"...truth was i liked her back but she always treated me like dirt.
after that, she asked me if this project did anything to us...
i actually said "yea...it made me relize how there always was this girl who liked me, but i was to dumb to notice. well since we...are here...with this baby project, so why not act like a real couple", i just chocked saying that cause i thought she would say no, she said she wanted to go out with me.
this is a true story of how i have a great girlfriend in rl, and yes im still trying to figure out why am i so blind to relize it ealier. anyway that project got me a girl friend so now i dont care how dumb it is! lol
Union_Angel 12-20-2005, 10:29 PM Aww man a baby! I already have a niece I can take care of if you already help out to take care of a baby do you have to do it? please say no!
lol I am just a kid LOL!
~CraZboutDisney
coolkooler 12-20-2005, 10:32 PM smush it and get an egg from your refrigerator
ChoPotter 12-20-2005, 10:36 PM I have to do that i think next year. And i know its gonna be that life-like kind, so yea. just dont kill your baby! or shake it! Shakin-baby-syndrome! (sp?) LOL
Faithrella 12-20-2005, 10:43 PM Hello everyone!
It's Mommy Faith again, and man, I had forgotten all about this thread! lol Baby Faith had a long happy life, and we did end up burrying her, at sea. I wasn't there, because I was at school. My mom did it, but she forgot to take the clothes off of my baby! lol "Hey, I wanted to use those for when we do it again after new years!!" lol But I think we are doing it again after new years... lol Baby Hope. ;) Well, I got an A on the project, and I was very pleased. When I saw that this thread had been brought back up, I was really shocked. lol
coolkooler, I'm afraid to say that I am too sensitive to smash my egg. lol
night crystal, I feel happy for you! lol We were "single" parents throughout the project.
Well, mods, if you want to close this thread, you might as well. lol :)
Thanks for all the replies everyone! :)
-Mommy Faith :heart8:
Aww! I was going to say boil it so if Baby Faith fell only the shell would crack but not really the egg! LOL :xmas35:

Shadowblader 12-21-2005, 03:44 AM faith...your memory will live on forever, let us have a silent moment -tips cup of water and pours on floor-

DarkKnightCecil 12-21-2005, 03:47 AM u are a very irresponsible parent leaving ur kid in the bath unsupervised. Good thing im from child services so i will be taking him away. lol jk
Shadowblader 12-21-2005, 08:58 PM *came back from yesterday...with something used at a hospital, that shocks ppl out of passing out, also clothes all wet with a box that has a scent of...eggs*
-takes thing out of box, its baby faith!!!-
-rubs shock box thing together-
CLEAR! -shocks egg over and over-
why wont it work!? -looks at shock box for a moment-
i should check if it works -accidently puts them on me-
-falls into a rolling table and i go rolling out of room-
(joke from fresh prince of bal air but changed a bit)
oh well...maybe next year(only posted to try and bring the memory of a egg back to life)
girlfly 12-21-2005, 09:59 PM I remember having to do the egg babies and the teacher said if we boiled them to keep them from breaking we failed! (duh). The next year we had sugar babies (babies made out of a 5 pound bag of sugar) Lugging a sugar baby and books to class was a PAIN! lol good luck with little Faith
