First, can anyone help me with how to beat the fast ghosts in the time ttrials (what character should I use, what vehicle should I use?)

Hmmm.... Im not sure I'm sorta new to MarioKart. But how do I get people? Like other people I wanna get BOO! But idk how to get people.

I use the cars with the most Acceleration, normally.

Purple, if you play by yourself on the newest round of races you have and you do good (1st every time, idk) you will most likely unlock a person, cart, or round.

Funky Kong is best with the shooting star, I think. I really don't think there are a lot of good tracks out of the new ones..Some of the gamecube ones are really good though

Baby mario is my favorite :), I hate all the tracks though, I just like driving.

I love the coin battles. But one time I had 27 coins and right at the last couple seconds the computer hit me with this bomb thing and I pretty much lost all my coins and I was so mad I quit because I didn't wanna lose. LOL

Yeah, coin battles are fun.

My favorite character to use is Wario.
I usually use Shooting Star.

(Idk how to get King Boo, I just unlocked him and Rosalina one day while playing GP's)

Well, If you have unlocked the character, use it, and if you've unlocked the cart, use it too, on the mushroom track, use your mushrooms when your just about to go to the mushroom jumps, They really help, ( HINT: Don't waste them on all of them on 1 lap, use it on one per lap )

Baby Peach is a light character, and Peach is a middle weight character.

The light characters are better for beginners, because they are generally better offroad.

Middle characters are well...middle 0_o

It's so cool. I have so many characters unlocked such as King Boo and Daisy. It's a totally awesome game. My favorite coarse is Rainbow Road and one of my other favorites is called Maple Treeway. I also like Koopa Cave. I think that's what it's called. Anyway I also unlocked WII character as a racer.

ok something i found weird is that in time trials, the staff ghosts can do like anything!
~they can go off-road and it will not affect them at all (so that means they can just cut through)
~they can use karts that you can't even unlock (like i have every small vehicle unlocked and the staff had a small class character and the kart they were using was a kart i didn't have unlocked.. doesn't make much sense :))
~they can use characters that you haven't unlocked so they might do better because of that.
it doesn't seem fair because the staff gets a bunch of stuff that regular players don't.

anyways.... mario kart is a fun game! i have a couple of characters and vehicles unlocked and all the races on 50cc.

When I play, it's Yoshi with a Sugarscoot. I never ever ever use anything else.

Here's some random tips:

*The fastest combo is funky kong with the flame runner bike, if anyone needed help. Of course, that doesn't really help if you're trying to unlock funky kong (like me lol).

*A good way to get a fast time in grumble volcano is to do what the regional/ world champions (on rankings)do (watching their replays helps to figure out how to do it) which is climbing up the rock to the left of the starting line. it's pretty hard to do but its helpful.

*in luigi circuit, at the end where all the boosts are, you can cut across the grass with a speed boost for a shortcut.
