Announcing the VMK Pirate Club’s First Pirates of the Caribbean Game Competition!

When: Sunday, July 24th at 4:00pm Pacific / 7:00pm Eastern SHARP
Where: Pirates of the Caribbean Game Lobby, instance to be announced
Please meet at Treasure Cave –VMK Pirate Club guest room prior to the event to check in.

Sign-up Rules:
1) There will be twelve, and only twelve, contestants in this First Competition. We want to be sure that this sort of contest will work out well, so we are starting the first event small.
2) You may sign up in advance here on the VMK Fan Site, only in this thread. First posted, first served. We will accept twelve on our list, and twelve on our back-up list. We will take advance sign ups until we have 24 on the list, and only through end of the VMK day on July 23rd.
3) Those signed up in advance are to meet at Treasure Cave –VMK Pirate Club room before 4:00pm Pacific / 7:00pm Eastern. Any contestant not on time will be eliminated without warning. Back-up contestants will then be added to the list; after that, first come, first served, for a total of twelve participants.

Game Play:
This competition is to determine Best Individual Player.
Four teams of three players each will be established randomly. Two teams will battle each other for two complete games (six rounds, as you know); one game with a fourth player character, and one with a computer character. Then the other two teams will battle in the same way. The individual totals for each player will be added, and the top six players will continue to the Semi-Finals.
In the Semi-Finals, two teams of three players each will be established randomly, and will battle for two complete games as described above. Individual totals will be added, and the top three players will continue on to the Finals.
The Finals will contain three rounds: each player will battle the other two players once with the help of an additional player character. The individual scores will be added, and First, Second and Third Place will be awarded.
IMPORTANT: You play VMK and enter into this competition at your own risk. If VMK or your computer crashes during the competition, we cannot help you. If you leave the game, voluntarily or involuntarily, you will be disqualified and forfeit your position. This is unfortunate, but there is no other way we know to deal with this issue.

After Party:
After each part of the competition, the participants who did not attain the high scores should go ahead to the After Party! This party will be held in the Treasure Cave –VMK Pirate Club room. All participants will receive prizes at the Awards Ceremony following the competition. (If you participate, and cannot stay online for the Ceremony, SallySally will hold your prizes for you. Just let us know afterward in this thread when she can meet you in VMK to give you your prize!)

Prizes:
Runners up will receive The Pirates of the Caribbean (6/9) ride pin.
Third Place: One Pirate Throne Color Black (expensive)
Second Place: One Pirate Treasure Chest Color Purple and one Crate Coffee Table Color Red (both are currently rare)
First Place: Pirate Costume Magic Pin
