For those of you who have seen/played this game, how do you like the game?

I do not like this game. The graphics are terrible, it needs some improvements in all areas. It's no where close to as good as VMK, in my opinion.

How is the game to you?

My opinion is just like yours. Stupid. I guess it could use improvements. ESPECIALLY THE AVATARS.

I kinda like the game since it's pretty fun and stuff. I agree some of the graphics are terrible but hopefully they will fix that soon.

It's really fun. It takes time to get used to. I wouldn't judge the game until you play it for a month or two though.

It won't let me register because I didn't pre-register. I suppose it's unfair to judge it before playing it, but I don't think I would like any game that tried to copy the name of VMK (Unless, of course, VMK came back ;))

I just wish they'd stop using images from Google as their rooms' backgrounds...

^, lol yeah, one minute I'm walking in this weird australian room with some cabin thing and all of a sudden I'm walking on a picture!

I'm not really a big fan of it yet... I haven't seen any of my friends... They don't really have great minigames yet... Their quests, which are all I log on for anymore, are kind of... boring... But I stay around and HOPE it'll get more interesting pretty soon...

i played it and my reactions are as follows:

1. graphics- the graphics seem more "realistic" unlike the cartoon-like look of VMK. overall the quality is not very good. the avatars are just hard to look at.

2. originality- VFK is practically a "clone" thats been watered way down and takes a history theme. VFK tries to copy the aspects of VMK but its done rather poorly.

3. game play- I'm going to try to sum this up in one word, boring. There isn't much mini games to play. the quests are boring all your really doing is seaching for stuff.

4. pay to play - yes, you have to pay to play the game. Theres no point in paying since theres really nothing cool to buy and all you really get is a hat.

5. overall feel- VFK is in a way a clone but NOTHING about is like VMK. VMK was this fun game where you get to talk to friends, play funn games, and collect exciting items. VFK hasn't even come close the items are uninteresting and so is the boring history theme. paying to play seems unfair becuase why pay when you dont get much in return. the game just feels like it came out too early and needs some major improvements.

all in all, it just doesn't have that "magic" VMK had

It's only in Delta testing so it'll get better before the OFFICIAL release.

:tinkerbell:I play VFK. I have two friends from VMK. Although, one never comes on and the other doesnt come on very often. What you have said I agree with some of it. Barely any animation in that game so it makes it seem so "blah." The waters there are still, like almost, frozen. Maybe this doesn't seem worth complaining about, but if you've played VFK you know how you can walk on the map? You're so tiny and it takes like minutes to get to Victorian Age. And rememer on VMK? You could just click this land and then click a room on the map and with a whoosh you're there in about five seconds. And the games you can play on there are, well, like copies of games from VMK. Aubodon's Wildlife Adventure- Jungle Cruise Game. And 4th of July Fireworks- Fireworks Game. @_@ Complaing about avatars now. They look pretty strange, I must admit. Too normal, I suppose, for most of us are all pretty used to the "cartoon-ish" avatars from VMK. In my opion, I think VMK's avatars were better than VFK's. There's something about the faces on VFK that bug me. The quests are O.K. Mainly educational. I guess that's what most kids dislike about them. Kids don't really want to learn about bats and that they can sense warmth. Most kids. And yes, VFK is like a copy of VMK, but definiatly not as fun, awesome, and great. It's really different. And like zangoose said, it doesn't really have the "magic VMK did. (Sorry for saying what you said. I hope you don't mind.)

I don't really like it..

I was a Beta tester and kind of wandered away after awhile, but now that some of my issues are out of the way I am coming back on it and it is better than it was when it first started. It will never be VMK because all of us who were on for a long time know that there was only one VMK, but it is good for me as of now. I like the fireworks game which allows me to make over 10000 points, way more than I ever made in Fireworks Remixed and I have contacted a few of my friends as well. I am content in what I have now.

I was really excited when it first opened. I logged in, played for about a week and quit. I got bored. I logged in 2 months later to see if anything got better. There was more there, but it was still just as boring!

what's VFK? i've never heard of it...

I do NOT like VFK. It's a total VMK clone, and the avatars annoy me. One of the things that annoy me about the avatars - you can't have dark skin colors. >_< Pathetic. And, the characters on VMK were so cute! Besides, I don't get the Virtual Family Kingdom thing. I mean, are they saying saying it's good for all ages? Or did they just need a random word for the title so it wouldn't seem like a total rip-off of VMK?

In my opinion, I don't plan on playing it. From what I heard, it is nowhere close to VMK so I don't think I want to try it.

Well I Can only discribe VFK in one word.. BAD! It's absolutly nothing like VMK, It's just an Anti-VMK! Pay-to-play, extreamly laggy, even more laggy than VMK on New Years Eve ( than again that's on my computer ) and I went away after like a couple of weeks. All I mean is.. Bad..!

I have actually decreased my play on vfk and only play a couple of games of fireworks on it a day not even two at times. Most of my friends have stopped coming on and without my friends it is way too boring to be on longer than 30 minutes. Oh well, I play Toon Town way more because there is more to do and a lot more excitement.

I played for about five minutes to see what the game was like and I would rather not have Vmk than play Vfk. The most popular room was one of those army rooms like Vmk used to have. The catch is, almost every single room was either an army room or a cafe. Navigation is terrible around the areas and everything takes forever to load. I searched many of my former Vmk friends and nothing came up. I entered a room just to be annoyed by the loading system and by the level of rudeness from the people. Overall, it would be disrespectful to Vmk to play Vfk in my opinion.

..yeah. This isn't really the game's fault, but the people on VFK don't seem as nice as the people on VMK.

The game totally relies on vmk items and ideas and is no where near an individual game.

I played it once and hated it! It was nothing like VMK. Another reason i hated it was because i was rushing through registration and i selected a girl avatar! lol

I have only played Virtual Family Kingdom about four times since it's opening date. I did not like it very much: The graphics were not good quality, there was always some type of "bug" in the game, and the games were hard to find.

Nothing will ever be as good as VMK :)

VFK WAS started way too soon, by people who played VMK from early on...
It saved many of us from going away and loosing each other and feeling so sad.
I was BETA in both games.
As of today, VFK can NOT be compared with VMK at the end....ONLY TO VMK 9 MONTHS OLD.....we had ONLY Jungle Cruise for 25 credits and Old Pirates Very Early Graphicsand you won 100 credits.....
there was NO Tomorrowland, or Fantasyland Courtyard, New Orleans, or Rides.......
We had "FRIENDS" and some where to go and hang and meet and have fun....there was SOME Disney stuff..and the feel of Disney....you can even look now and see the basic rooms alot have just a little Disneyfied thing to make it "DISNEY" some like the Pan and Alice Ride are ALL Disney...but that came way later.
Speaking of "friends"....IF you brought your whole crew or group of them with you, AND MANY HAVE...you have a GREAT network of social, financial, trading, rich, HAVE EVERYTHING friends and you have a great time there....
IF NOT....as many here and I say....friends have gone on....we are struggling along and not keeping up and feeling left out.....this includes those not able, for whatever reason, to pay for a MEMBERSHIP.... (this can SEEM boring)
This MEMBERSHIP....can be bought and paid for now...but has not STARTED until the game 'OFFICIALLY RELEASES" or goes GOLD....and it is FREE to all to play and buy things and earn credits and have rooms and freinds etc.....JUST that MEMBERS get MORE things...first and exclusive....MOST/ALL games NOW charge to play...and most of the things are NOT free like VFK....
ANYONE can now register and begin to explore VFK and stay for FREE...
The game runs in your browser....so it does not 'load' or save into your computer. YOU MUST clean your 'cookies/cache' often and refresh often while playing similar to Elf Island and they are working on a NEW program called 'Air' to fix all issues about computers even old ones like mine, they are aware of the issue and it is being problem solved .
I had same issues with VMK servers as we all did throughout the life of VMK!!
VFK has a Developer/Artist/Imagineer from our old game.....I believe it is the magic maker...but don't quote me....we have much magic to buy and use one to five star.
It cost 10,000 but we have Autumn Leaves, Snow, Lightning, Sparkle, etc etc and much more to come and magic has had NO BUGS....
Also we have a new CHECKER game and the room and play is almost EXACTALLY like our old game....see the VMK revisited one and see the one in VFK = duplicate...and not many bugs....the fireworks game is also almost exact. BUT credits pay way more...
I think the rooms also for the checkers and arcarde look the same as well....and I think those games are coming soon....many many things are coming soon
We have a solar system and a galaxy system that are Holograms...EXCUSE ME? 3D!!!
We have large screen TV with channels and you can make and upload movies with music
We see Movies on a movie channel....How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Charlie Brown and Its A Wonderful Life....etc etc....how is watching TV boring? or making Videos or watching them?
We can Dance and have a Ballroom to party in and a Balcony with Fireworks show outside.....with a full moon...:)
Members have Horses to ride...and play polo with their friends
You can throw Snow and have snowball fights....
There was a REAL Santa who you sat on his lap and asked for wishes
They are testing ride track pieces and a talking parrot you NAME and TRAIN!!
THIS IS NOT BORING..it is what you make it
IF we all come back ....it will be the same....some are nice....some show off.....some give and some take....some are rude.....Virtual or Real....
Most of all they are trying to do AMAZING things on a new engine NEVER ever used for this purpose before, it is slow going for the Developers/Artists/Staff and all who are there waiting
Membership a month is less than seeing a Movie and it lasts 30 days....when it starts!
It is VFAMILYK because all ages can play, it is monitered to be safe for little kids, you can say you are an adult, or grandma, or your membership has a horse and room you all share, there are family movie nights and events....and work together as a family, like in a real home, community, or group.
Most I see come on and know nothing...so they miss out on the great experience.
The NPC's ....there are now 3 talk and interact and call you by name. VMK had a pop up message....now that is boring!
IF you see VFK in 3 years it will literally BLOW YOUR MIND.....we soon will go into another dimension into a pirate world....and MANY others
come join us.....message...email....write....calll.....find ME....I will show you around...befriend you....work to help make it the same magic....
For I truly believe as Walt and Mickey taught me that the REAL MAGIC lives inside each of us and is best shared....and IF we Believe....we can make it so....
It does not take "cute" mice or characters....those will be where they have always been in books. movies, parks, songs, and in our imaginations.....
IF we pay Disney for their OTHER games...they will NEVER make anything like our VMK

I like Vfk.... It's good, it is kinda the same as Vmk, but Vmk was better and had a waaaaaaaaaay better theme. =] Lol. DISNEY!!!! But... It's like Vfk copied Vmk... Know what i mean? It's good though, i mean if Vmk was here, i'd be on that. But Vfk is good for now. =] It is fun i guess.. =]

VFK is quite of fun but it bores me out. As most of people on thread said terrible graphics..

Another thing that I do not like about VFK, is that there are not a lot of hair styles and clothes to choose from. In VMK, there was a wide variety of choices to customize your character.

I'm thinking of making a visit back to VFK, just to see how things have changed.

In my honest to god opinion, it looks like and is one of the worst games i have ever seen or played. Where is the fun?

I have only played it once or twice, And let me say this once and finally! I hate it! They will not even get close to being good is VMK! Vfk is a cheap, wannabe of an awesome game!

The graphics are bad and the characters are ugly. The characters no where near as good as VMK's. Everytime I went into a guest room it was worse than VMK with that finale quest with the awesome prizes that could get your green flips! Compared to VFK it would be considered going fast!

It takes 5 minutes to get to Stoneage or Victorians age and it's not even worth it when I get there. And my computer is really fast, I never got disconnected on VMK. (Not that I did on VFK, I quit before I got the chance.)

The mini- games are a cheap, unrealistic copy of fireworks, and Jungle cruise. Did they think we were that cookoo and not reconngnize "Hey I remember this from somewhere." No that will not work.

It will not even close remind me of how awesome, fantastic, great, VMK was.
SOMEONE SHOULD SUE THEM!

Especially for saying things like "Oh yea, and we won't close down in 3 years." AND Opening the dayafter VMK closes to get all our attention on the "Next VMK game" No!

A) This is VMK Fansite not a game fansite, i'm for sure that if we were a gaming site based on more then 1 game this board would have more choose VFK. AKA in short term, a non-biased opinion.

I do not see any "lie" comments, they are just opinions. Yes, some people truly do dislike it, but that does not mean that they can't share their thoughts (While being friendly, of course).

CORRECTION: I do now like VFK. Most of the bugs are fixed and I finally got my Beta Day 1 Shirt. The only problem I have with it, is that I can not find the shops or games.

What I REALLY miss from VMK was the characters... the characters on VFK are kinda ugly, and you can't change their eyes or face.
VFK is fun at times, but every time I go on there, it just isn't the same... something doesn't feel right.

I'm going to share my opinions:

CONS of vfk:
Ugly characters
No pirates game
Quests are kind of boring
Have to walk across the map to get to places

PROS:
Magic pins!
Doesn't close for the night (though shuts down for about 15 minutes)
Lots of people from VMK that you might remember
Items may be bought and equipped to change color of epic magic transformations

I must say though, even though I agree that it can't replace VMK, and is trying too hard to be VMK, I am having fun with it, and will stay on board at least for a few months until they open the three unfinished zones and we can see the game in its full glory.

People have been saying "hopefully they will change _____" since it opened, but nothing has happened to improve on things that most people say are bad, like the avatars/graphics.

I haven't trusted the staff on that game since it opened. Oh well, as long as people keep playing, they'll keep going with the trash that they are putting out.

It's not the Virtual Magic Kingdom, but I do think it's something at least. I prefer it over the Disney Online Games for my own reasons and I'll explain why...

Club Penguin: I've never really enjoyed it except for throwing snowballs

1. the areas are to large, i played for like an hour. it took me half an hour just to find people.

I talked to a staff person today- they said the Space area will be opening "soon"- hopefully this means a few weeks or less. I hope there's another minigame in there!

Sorry, but I disagree with that.
I've played on toontown for 4 years, and have I ever crashed every twenty minutes.
Sorry, it just makes me mad when people say toontown is slow and laggy and crashes every 2 minutes.

The graphics are fine, they're not amazing, but they're fine. Plus, it's just the characters that don't have amazing graphics. The buildings, furniture, and landscape graphics are pretty good.

Vmk is the best, VFK is okay, but it's not best with their graphics or characters, but the rooms that they have on there kinda impresses me

At this point I have decreased my play of VFK due to the fact that I just do not find anyone I recognize on the game and playing the boring fireworks game all day is just not appealing to me. I play once a week on Sunday when they have the weekly quest and that is it.

THIS GAME CALLED VFK IS COMPLETLEY BORING!!! In my opinion, there is nothing to do in that game, and it is completley boring.

I've had play this game for a year, and was one of the Beta 1 group members to try the game. Yes, the graphics aren't as nice and creative as VMK's but there still in development stage!! Gold there hasn't even started there yet! Well, some staff from VMK like Harmony and Phinny went there and they have changed alot. I mean the staff have favorites in this game!! And also, staff ban people because they have opinions about VFK and they ban them. Some stuff there are VMK-like, but the game ain't well maintained. It's better off owned by Disney than with that independent group who owns VFK.

I guess it was a little fun, but mostly it just annoyed me.
The pay-to-play thing is ridiculous, considering how pathetic the game really is.

i want vmk back because vfk is nothing at all compared to vmk and i wouldnt pay a penny to vfk. if it got better after it gets through the testing stage i would play more but if vmk opened, bye vfk

I love VFK, but that game is not as good as I thought it would be. The graphics are cheesy, the faces are ugly (Do you want to represent yourself looking ugly?), and the staff take favorites (Unfortunately, a VFK staff made me a favorite). I mean this isn't what the future of VFK should be. They gotta fix themselves, or otherwise they'll be shut down quicker than VMK.

I think they're improving; the graphics are getting better. But the lag is unbearable. Ugh.
Anyways; It doesn't have the same friendship thing with VMK. On VMK you could've begun talking with a random person and become friends. On VFK its really clique-y.

I really don't like VFK at all. To me, it's a cheap copy of VMK. You have to walk or use magic to get to places, which leads to lag and is unnecessary. They should just make you click to get there, not make you look at the computer screen for five minutes watching your character walk to a place. And also, a lot of the people there are mean and try to be cool. For example, if you want to get to know a person, and you request them randomly so you can talk to them and try to make a new friend, they say "HEY! DO I KNOW YOU?" That's what happened to me a few times. The people that say that think they are making themselves look big and smart, but in reality they are making themselves look not so nice to the other person. I mean, that's just my opinion. If any of you do that, I'm not trying to offend you. And also, whenever you play cute or boot, you get tremendous lag. The quests are also really hard. I have other complaints on this game, but I'm just going to keep them on hold until I think it's an apropriate time to share them.

To be honest, VMK was kind of clique-y too sometimes. There were different kind of players and some of them were mean or snobbish. :RedFaced:

well i remember i had to go on a cruise just to get that one item in vmk, and i also had to pay alot of money
at disneyland just for an item in-game. I also met a few people on vmk when i was a noob that were very rude to me
and mocked me because i had no rare items or pins. And the staff on vmk were like robots. at least the vfk staff enjoy themselves. I actually enjoy vfk! People just make themselves bored when really there are tons of things to do, it's sad when people say its an epic fail, well they are basically a home-made game

events if you are not a member on VFK. i mean look at club penguin... you have to be a member to do everything!

VFK isn't perfect either; everytime I try to speak with someone, they usually ignore me. Meh nah really like VFK, it's full of traders GEEZ! All everybody does is Trade and be Nice! They all want to be staff's favorites gosh! And when staffs come, they go all oooo i love your hair! OMG I LOVE YOU VFK_AppleJuice (<Random! First thing that came to mind! xD)

Anyways I don't play VFK anymore because of the nice people who bother me saying no magic in public rooms @_@

I HATE VFK!!!!!!!!!!! It is so lame, the graphics are terrible, they haven't even put new faces on the game which they said they were like the year they opened it. And the clothing is ugly. VMK's was MUCH MUCH BETTER. I liked it alot!

well I liked VFK at first, but seriously it gets more boring. The thing that I hate the most is all the cool things some ppl get, and others dont, I hate the trading, hate cute or boot (and if u go to the game right now every single room has that game), I hate the 'hosts', quests, the clothing, the places... I can go on and on so Im just going to say that the game stinks. I know VMK had many of that stuff, but at least it was FUN! there wasn't many things that u could buy with real money, the trading didn't bother me much, ppl had WAY better imagination then to play cute or boot, hosts were funny and cool, quests had to do with movies and disney stuff, clothing you could be a beast or a pirate or a princess anything, and the whole disney park in a virtual world!

I don't like Neopets, but I actually have more fun playing that than VFK....

AND NEOPETS ISN'T EVEN INTERACTIVE!!!!

I like their halloween stuff this year. Its pretty exciting but i cant wait for the costumes to be released.

Im sorry to say but I would have to agree with StitchMayhem.

I think any game is better than VFK, it's just an unsuccessful remake of VMK.

They now have some new cars magic coming out tomorrow. We drive around
these new BMWs'. They look pretty fun.

VMK wasn't perfect in the beginning either... the graphics were bad and so was the lag. But now that I have been playing since VMK closed, it is great. I play it as much as I played VMK. And for those of you who say, "VFK will never be even close to VMK", well, It kind of is. I would rather play VFK than sit and watch TV and STILL think about VMK. It is what it is and we move on. That is just how life goes.

Ya but this isn't VFK's fault. It is the players. VMK wasn't perfect either. There were rude people and nice people and they are working on graphics. Also remember that this company is not Disney. Disney of course has way more money to do more things. Otherwise I think they have made a very good effort to recreate VMK in a different way and I actually appreciate that. At least there is something for us to play besides sitting and thinking about VMK. And for all of you who say you played it once and hated it, well play it more so you can get a REAL opinion.

It's called playing MapleStory and Gaia. There. I have alternatives so I don't go in front of my computer and complain about VMK being closed for 2 years and calling VFK ripoffs.
