View Full Version : No :(
Gorams 06-26-2008, 07:41 PM I just realised I left my nintendo DS at WDW :( I think I left it at my hotel room but I'm not sure. It had all my games, my DS, and my favorite game boy game that my Dad gave me before he passed away :( :Sour: Do you think Disney would care about it and try to find it? Someone is probably in that room by now and they could have taken it. I called my mom and she said she would call them.
I feel so lost, any tips?
:(
BuzzBoy133 06-26-2008, 07:46 PM Call the hotel and ask if they found it. If they did, then ask if they could mail it to you. If they say no, say it has a lot of sentimental value and start crying , and they'll see how much it means to you. And they can't turn down a kid crying, can they?

Don't get me started *cough* VMK *cough*
LOL just kidding
So sad :(
.:Blue:. 06-26-2008, 07:52 PM And what did they say when you called?

She's at work she didn't call them yet hehe
AceGoalkeeper 06-26-2008, 08:41 PM You should wait till your mom comes home and then call them together. Make sure to tell them how much it means to use, especially since your dad gave it to you.

Chaelle 06-26-2008, 09:06 PM Aww you poor thing.
Well, I remember when I lost something, and I called up the hotel staff, gave them my name and the hotel room and the date that I checked out. Give that info (have your mum present with you on the phone), and I hope everything goes well.

Just wondering, did you get whatever you lost back?
EtnaGreen 06-26-2008, 09:52 PM Just wondering, did you get whatever you lost back?
You never know you may get it back. I left my jacket on one of the rides and my parents found it in lost and found. my brother left his phone on muppetts 3-D and a guest found it and called my mom's phone and we got it back. My dad lost his treo phone on the dinosaur ride and we also got it back. Their is some hope, in case you didn't leave it look through the entire house and the suitcases. I know how crazy it get's when you pack and it maybe in one of the suitcases burried under clothes.
MyBirdHat 06-26-2008, 10:03 PM Ohhh I feel so bad! I'd die if my DS and games got lost, and your stuff has sentimental value. I'm so sorry and I hope you get them back :(

I checked all the suitcases, I'm pretty sure I left it in the room. Your post gave me hope though, thanks!
It might have just fell out of my suitcase in the car when I went to get my pins so it would be ironic if that happened O_O
fabkimi 06-26-2008, 10:44 PM That reminded me. When I was in Bush Gardens (I know I spelled bush wrong), I went on a roller coaster called the Big bad wolf or something, and after the ride, I noticed that I lost my cell phone. Of course, I had gone all the way back to England before I noticed that I lost it, and my mum called the park and they sent my phone all the way back. Disney, I believe, has a lost and found station. Have your mum call the station, and see if they recieved anything. Good luck finding it!
ivanbyte9 06-26-2008, 11:50 PM Well, I never bring mine with me anywhere when I go on vacation. Ever since I lost my gameboy at El Paso Texas when I visited my aunt in San Antonio and we never found it and I left my $100 bucks in the case :( You might want to tell your mom to call the hotel and see if they found it.

Gorams 06-27-2008, 12:39 AM OK, it wasn't in my Mom's car. All I can do now is hope :( My mom called them and they haven't called back yet. I hope housekeeping didn't steal it when I was in the parks.
Just a thought lol
and my favorite game boy game that my Dad gave me before he passed away :(
I'm so sorry! :(
I think you should call the resort and ask them to do whatever they can. Surely they'll try.
Gorams 06-28-2008, 12:39 AM Bad news :( I realised I had left it in the airport and Disney World called saying they didn't have it. The airport security said they didn't have it either. My DS was stolen :( Thanks for your help anyways guys.

goofy_bout_mickey 06-28-2008, 04:07 AM Don't give up on it yet.
I had to give up a small pocket knife that was on my keychain because it was just after 9/11 and I couldn't go through security with it. When I got back to the airport after my trip, I checked and they couldn't find it. I would check back everytime I could and about three months later they had found it. I couldn't believe it!
So keep trying and good luck!
On a second note, my brother and I were at WDW one time and he had left his brand new, really expensive camera on the monorail. He didn't realize it until we got back to the hotel so he called Lost and Found but they hadn't found it yet. The next day, he got a phone call that it had been turned in. He couldn't believe it. Disney actually has a policy that if you find something and you turn it in and the owner doesn't claim it within a certain period of time (30 days I think) then you can claim it. So it pays to be honest.
Gorams 06-29-2008, 04:08 AM Yeah but it's been more than a week, where would it be?
I'll just accept the fact that it's gone :(
SkyRocket 06-29-2008, 04:15 AM This is a article from Disney Insider I got one time. I thought you should read it.
Lost Purse Finally Returns
by Ellen, 59, Sacramento, CA
When my daughter was a sophomore in high school she went to Orlando for a youth leadership convention. After the convention, they went to Disney World for two days. She was visiting the Human Body Pavilion when she lost her small purse. She returned to the pavilion with her friends to search, but they did not find it.
In September 2007 we received a Fed-Ex package at our door. My daughter is now married and has children of her own, but the package had her maiden name with our address on it. I called her to ask if she knew what it was and she did not, but said to open it up. Inside was her small purse that she had lost over 16 years ago. It had her wallet, traveler's checks, student body card, lipstick, etc. With it was a note from the Epcot Park Duty Manager saying they had found her wallet when they were renovating a building at Epcot Center, and he wanted to get it back to her. To make it extra funny, we had just gotten back from a visit to Disneyland with my daughter and her family that day.

Pssh.. the maid at All Star Movie Resort stole my friend's breakfast bar because she brought extra food just in case. Well, it's a long story, but I can never trust housekeeping.
Once we forgot our video camera back at a Disney Hotel (forgot which), probably in 2000 or 2002. We went back back to the hotel and went to the front desk. The lady said someone found it and returned it to the lost and found. But then my sister dropped it on the floor by mistake and it broke... but still, someone was kind enough to return it.
RoxyBlueMusic 06-29-2008, 09:36 AM It's good that you checked through things one more time, even though it wasn't in there.
I can't tell you how many times I've lost something, but it's been in some of the most obvious places. One time I lost my phone, but since I have a horrible one it's battery died before I had the chance to call it and listen for it to vibrate or ring.
So it was one of those in-between-couch-cushion searches.
I found it, but it was 1 of about 8 times I'd lost it in the house.
You probably don't want to hear about my iPod story, though.
Apologies for not finding it. You might get a new and cooler one though!

That's amazing LOL. But the sad thing is that I found out that I left it at the airport :/
TravisSch 06-30-2008, 03:12 PM I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get your DS back. :(

It's ok ;) I have better things in life like my family and friends. I think this can let me focus on more important things, and it helped me realise you don't need material things to live.
I guess losing it actually taught me a lession. That's weird :/

Eh hehe, that sounds vaguely familiar. Where have I heard that before? But I'm sorry you didn't get it back. Did you call the hotel?

Sorry.. here is my story.
My daddy gave me $20 for chores (he still owes me $10) and I lost it by throwing it in the trash. But my whole family did detective work/tracing steps and my dad told me to look in the trash. He came with me and he dugged through it and found my money!
Smart LOL! I was crying so much because I never get money unless I work REALLY hard and long.

futureimagineer1117 07-01-2008, 12:13 AM This happened to my brother, he left about 20 games in the hotel room. We called the hotel, and they sent it to us the next day.
We also went to Disney with a family friend who lost their wedding ring in WDW, and someone turned it in, so she got it back!
Trust me, it's Disney, most of the people are either with kids, so they have to set a good example, or don't have kids, so there's no reason to keep it anyway.
Aislynne 07-01-2008, 12:53 AM yeah i found people at the parks are generally nice about lost things. When I was there in 2006, I lost my purse which had a ton of money, my digital camera, and my identification cards. With all the nice things in that purse, I was pretty sure nobody would turn it in to lost and found, but at the end of the very same day that I lost it someone turned it in with nothing missing at all. Im sorry you didn't get it back though, but its nice to know you got something out of losing it
Plutofan 07-02-2008, 04:10 AM that horrible! i almost forgot my DS at a restraunt once, my parents got it just a few seconds after i left the table, without knowing! i felt so bad! i hope you find your DS!
PurpleCrazyLava 07-02-2008, 06:50 AM My mom lost her phone on Indiana Jones, but they found it when we got off. They checked the cars til they found it. I'm sorry gorams! That's so sad. :(
TheGosselinsRockMySoxz 07-05-2008, 07:34 PM Poor thing! :( I feel so bad. I actually left something in WDW. It was an MP3 player.. I feel so bad!
Sorry for your loss!

BurntTomatoFace 07-07-2008, 08:07 PM I`m sorry you didn`t get it back :(
