I saw this on another site, and thought it'd only be fitting to spread the word here.

So, what is this "Hurricane VMK?" A plan.

Every Saturday starting starting next Saturday, June 28th, they'd like VMK players to call Radio Disney and... well... Do what you always do :P Let Disney know how you feel. The idea is, not only will Disney have to unexpectedly face these problems head-on (I, personally, have my doubts about this part. How qualified would a Radio Disney DJ be in terms of dealing with people's problems about Disney's business strategy? But, I digress. It's still a good idea for the other reason, which I'm about to mention: ) as well as helping to raise awareness of our plight, both to Disney themselves and to fellow Disney lovers.

Small edit: Before anyone goes on about how they think this is a "Waste of time, VMK is already closed..." I will say that it's just 5-10 minutes out of your life for anyone who chooses to participate (maybe more if their lines are busy), and for a good cause. Won't hurt anybody :P

Well, the calls are recorded durring when the songs arer playing so they can choose which ones to play, so the people might not get on the air. Also, Radio Disney's lines are VERY busy, so its hard to even be heard!

I wouldn't know, because I don't usually listen to Radio Disney, but...

If so, it's always a good plan to just start off not sounding like you're one of us, and then pop it on them at the end or if you manage to make it live ;)

Well, I'm only the messanger here, so I can't speak with authority on this, but... I believe it's to tell Disney how you feel about WDIG's recent actions, including, but not necessarily limited to, the examples you've mentioned.

After all, it is a "call to arms" for all the Save VMK'ers.

That's correct. They don't do live call-ins. Only rarely. That's why before commercial breaks they say: Call in this #: ____________. Stay tuned for the answer to _________ after the break!

Yep. I just found it. If you go to disney.go.com/dxd/ , click "Music", then click "Radio Disney," there's a live stream at the bottom of the screen.

This is a great idea. I actually think it would at least have a chance for someone to get their words spoken on Radio Disney. I've called in before and it's easy to get in as long as it's not during contests.

And you have to be fluent, or they won't play it.
And you have to make sense.

The plan seems... recycled but I like it. I know the Earthbound (starmen.net) has been calling nintendo or america for years surrounding the release of MOTHER3 to the USA and MOTHER1+2. Just saying this isn't anything new, just EXTREMELY effective. You could also try collecting a book of fanart, fan videos, music, and etc. from vmk. Stories and stuff. It could be VMKology. Ship it to disney, maybe get published. Fight for our right to play!

I've called into a sports station here before (weird, I know, for a girl to call into a station. It's one of the only cool stations here without having XM though.), and they ask what you're going to talk about before they let you on.

You could always say something else, but they could cut you off when you mention VMK. I really hope this works, though. I want VMK back just as much as anyone here.

Well, I meant more in terms of how... ah... "Formal," for the lack of a better word, I should be. I mean, honestly... If I talked on Radio Disney the same way I talk here, I'd just sound like a loon XD And, while I personally don't mind looking like a loon, people are more inclined to listen to people they believe are sane.

not really i've seen what happens in a radio station and once they're off the air they kind of just sit there talking until the comercials are done playing then they go back on the air there's no calls in between beleieve me my aunt works for a radio station ( and yes it's a major set of stations not some little one)and i've seen this while literally in the studio

My sis got onto Radio Disney and she answered the question durring when the song was playing and then they just replayed it when the song was over..
