I'd like to find out what you know about hidden, odd, or secret things in Disneyland.

On the Haunted Mansion ride, whenever the narator is speaking during the ride, a black crow is present.

No... that's the Matterhorn.
Oh... a funny story about a left/right line experience. I was walking in the line for Haunted Mansion (there was no line up to the separation point), and I took the left line because the right line looked longer. Turns out that the left line was entirely empty and I walked right on! Woot.

once when they were testing the matterhorn before it opened to the public, they make a fake person out of a shin sheet of wood with his arms up like he was on a roller coaster, but when he came out at the end, the top half of his body was missing so they went into the matterhorn and the ceiling was too low.

Not exactly. Disneyland extends quite a bit outside where the guests are able to go. Haunted Mansion is located outside the train tracks. Same with Pirates, Indy, Small World, and most of Splash Mountain. But they are all still in Disneyland. ;)

Disneyland was actually never owned by Walt Disney.

Where are you getting this information.

Yes, Disneyland, and all Disney parks were never owned by Walt Disney the person. But they were owned by "The Walt Disney Company", and Walt Disney was the Owner/CEO.

They didnt just do this because they felt like it. When Walt died, and if the parks were owned by "Walt Disney", they would cease to operate until they were distrubuted to the person he gave it to in his will, or until they decided who they would send it to?

Not true. Under Disneyland are a few access tunnels. Nothing more. The Anaheim Police Department has an office in the security department behind Main Street, but there are no jails. Private companies don't have legal authority to throw someone in jail.

i know alot of ye secrets of disneyparks

haunted mansion
in the haunted mansion ballroom the ghosts that are dancing are dancing the wrong way

the organ in the ballroom was the organ from 20,000 leagues under the sea.

in the seance with madame leota, u are 40ft up in the air and there is a net below u.

there was a gunshot 1 year in the ballroom howver disney imageeneers made this into a spiderweb in the right corner of the ballroom.

the haunted mansion wasn't openuntil 6 years after it was announced

1 of the paintings of a girl in the haunted mansion is the same girl that is in the potc ride

before the haunted mansion opened walt disney said he was collecting ghosts from all over the world.

the gravestones outside have names of imagineers.

in WDW haunted mansion, the roof of the building has chess pieces.
all chess pieces are there except the knight.

The WDW haunted mansion was said to be built on top of a plane crash and the pilot that died from this is said to haunt the ride

in the haunted mansion holiday, the crow is replaced by this doll

anyone want to know about pirates?

pirates of the caribbean

DLR and WDW potc ride are different

the banjo player in the bayou plays 2 or 3 different songs

the bayou influenced the scene of tia dalmas swamp in the movie

The potc ride is based on treasure island and other pirate movies

the haunted mansion, potc ride, and splash mountain in DLR go out of the park.

There is said to be a kid that haunts the DLR potc ride ( if any one remebers the kid who was going to die but wanted his ashes to be spread around the potc ride.. thats him.)

There is said to be an imagineer named George who haunts the WDW ride. It is said that crewmembers always say hi to him or the potc ride will break down. George died by falling off one of the towers in tesero.

potc has the most animatronics.

barbossa took over blackheart on the wicked wench

in DlR the order of the ride is present to past ( dead pirates than alive pirates )

The fire in the burning village is actually a fan.

potc has been changed 2 times. 1 was for .. well i can't say it..
and the other was the adding of jack sparrow, barbossa, and davy jones.

potc in WDW was the last ride for Walt Disney

any more u want to know about?

Ok. I want to know more about this hidden Eeyore. This I have to find, any clues will help.
Thanks you!

the eeyore is in the indiana jones ride. he's up in the ceilinghttp://www.yesterland.com/images-background/nods_eeyore.jpg

o i remember some more.

in dLR, the dream suite above the potc ride is said to be haunted by the ghost of Walt disney himself.

Below WDW are tunnels called the utilidor.

in the disneyland 2006 and 2005 map.. the VMK logo and 2 other signs made a hidden mickey.

the price of food at these resorts are expensive o_o

thats all i remember so far -.-

adding to the potc secrets...

the man in the well is named carlos and is the mayor of tesero.

the man feeding the cats rum is named ben.

the lady behind the drinking skeletons is also shown at the wicked wenches auction.

if u listen closely, u can hear a pig singing yoho.

the drinking skeletons rum that goes through them is made out of twisted wire.

that should do for now..

The Swiss Family Robinson's Treehouse is built into a replica of a giant Banyan tree. The "roots" of the tree are 42 feet into the ground for structural support, and the 1,400 branches are covered with 300,000 lifelike polyethylene "leaves", which reportedly cost about $1.00 each in 1971. The tree is also draped with real Spanish moss.

The Country Bear Jamboree was removed from Disneyland on September 9, 2001 to make way for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

Although the Haunted Mansion is home to 999 Happy Haunts, there are only 109 of them represented by Audio-Animatronics figures.

The OmniMover ride system takes you on a journey through the Haunted Mansion on a 960-foot long track. Disney first employed the OmniMover technology in 1967 for the Adventure Thru Inner Space attraction in Disneyland .

The "Hatbox Ghost," was an Audio-Animatronic figure that was originally planned to be located in the Haunted Mansion's attic near the eerie bride and the room's exit. The character held a cane in one hand and a translucent hatbox in the other. Each time the bride's heart beat, the ghost's head was to disappear, and reappear in the hatbox. However, after being installed in Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, Imagineers quickly learned that the effect didn't work well, and removed it within a few weeks. The other figure, which had been constructed at the same time as the Disneyland one, was destined for Walt Disney World, but was never installed.

The weather vane atop the Haunted Mansion in Walt Disney World is shaped like a bat, while the weather vane on Disneyland's Haunted Mansion is shaped like a ship.

I knew all of this I just needed a little more detail to make it better :)

On the Indy ride at Disneyland, in the first scene with the three doors, there is only one working door, and four fake ones. Only three doors are displayed at a time. The way they do this is..

There are 5 doors total. 3 doors show on any given ride and only one door can open. They manage to change the door that you go through around by moving the walls. Before each vehicle goes into this scene the walls are moved so it seems like the one working door moves, or that there is more than one track in the building. Imagine that all 5 facades are displayed in a quarter circle shape (if you have been on the ride you know how it's set). Before the vehicles go into the scene the walls rotate so the middle door (the only working one) is in a different position (right, middle, left) for each new ride. So, one ride could go through the middle door, while the next vehicle (while the walls rotate), seem to go through the right door while they're really going through the same door as the ride before. Wikipedia has a good animation to show how this works.....

http://img2.freeimagehosting.net/uploads/6ad804a3bd.gif (http://www.freeimagehosting.net/)
Image from wikipedia.

Also on Indy...

Each of those three doors has a name. The left door is the Observatory of the future, the middle is the chamber of earthly riches, and the right is the fountain of youth. Depending on which your ride goes through changes the scenery on the lift hill behind the door. The observatory makes the walls turn purple and the roof has stars on it. The middle door (riches) has golden walls to simulate golden coins/treasure. If you go through the right side (fountain of youth) the walls have water reflections and the sound of water dripping can be heard.

At Disneyland in California, Mr. Dale once played his some of his famous guitar songs for all of the park to hear... on top of Space Mountain. He is the only person to ever do that.

(He made the original soundtrack for Space Mountain; his famous surf guitar riffs).

Not many people know (which is suprising) that Disneyland's Space Mountain was once repainted a greenish-gold color, not white. This was as part of the New-Tomorrowland for 1998(?) to match the rest of the New Tomorrowland's deep red, and golden colors. Although it was changed back to white, some buildings (most) in tomorrowland still have the golden colors.

Also, although the Mark Twain Steamboat at Disneyland is powered by the back paddle, the captain does not guide the ship. There is an I-beam located in the river that the boat follows. The Captain instead looks out for other boats in the river.
