I usually don't write much but wanted to get things off my chest.

Am I the only one that was disapointed with the final night of VMK?

There was so much unseen stuff created for this fun game that will never been seen. Why not upload everything? Retired Theme Park Quest Merchandise? Stitch Hat? Retired Magic? Treasure Magic? Lightning Magic? Etc???

The final weeks leading up to the closing, there were a few quests with some good stuff. I ended up with over 100,000 credits from the quests. I figured there would be lots to buy on the last night. The only things I saw was new Toy Story Mania pieces and Mission Space Magic.

Why not let people buy Club 33? Reopen Spell Room? Etc? Why not have everything for free? You're closing in three hours for good!


I was so disaponited, I purchased 10 Mission Space Magic Pins and gave them away. I went to bed early as it didn't look promising.


I can say for most of us, VMK was part of our lives for the past two years. It helped us on rainy days (like today), through late nights and holidays we didn't want to sit with family (LOL).

The pirates game looks good but its not VMK.


I only hope Disney has something up their sleeves!

i would be too. i took a break for 2 months and logged on 3 days before the close. i didn't know that vmk was closing at the time. when i was done playing, i went of vmk forums and saw the things about vmk closing and all that stuff. it was sickening.

i agree completely although this does belong in the rants more than save vmk

My insanely optimistic and conspiracy theory brain says they didn't release everything because they're saving them for the new and improved VMK. They had to close the old one to put up the new one, new and improved.
The other side of me just thinks it's one more thing to chalk up to bad planning and showing that they just don't care about any of us.

Well, I was thinking about this too. But if you think about it, if they released everything, the sheer amount of lag would drive everyone insane; as if there already wasn't enough lag that night.

More I hope they are making a new VMK then I completely believe with certainty they are.
I've been looking at everything said and done and just have to wonder. There were those screen caps from..oh gosh, I'm blanking...VMK Stories it was called right? They held back so many thing we know were developed or in development, I was doing a Google search to see what pages are still up and which give me errors on the VMK site. Now I know it takes time to clear things up and close things down and all of that. But they had a couple months after they made the announcement that they were closing. Why would they leave as much as they did up?
I will definitely say that a lot of this is just my being optimistic and quite possibly could be me reading more into things than are really there but I can't help it.
They closed VMK which makes me think that if they bring something back it's not going to be the exact VMK, they're not just going to throw the switch back on with what they have. But they could take some time to improve and update it and release that.
Does that make any since?

Yeah, I must agree with MyBirdHat. They probably wanted it to be a suprise.. Although it kinda looked like a VMK version of POTCO

I know. The New Year's Party was better than the closing :-[ The staff gave us all messages, we got confetti magic, and it was just more special! In the VMK closing I was SO disappointed. I could hardly type. All I typed was I miss my bird hat :D And bye-bye my friends. :P They didn't do ANYTHING fun. Just release a FEW things. April was better than that >_< Well not just because it was my birthday :D

plus there was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much lag, so it caused everyone to go offline, and in the end i was alone with only 1 friend.

and yeah ms.bored, the new year's party was sooo much better....

EVERYTHING was better than the closing! oh my god! they just gave out new things. what was that supposed to do?? absolutely nothing! What are you going to do? "Oh man! i don't have enough credits! I'll come back on tomorrow!" and the next day, VMK is closed! :Unhappy: Doesthat make any sence to you? not me!!

yes it was disappointing on how little they did and how much lag there was.
