Did anybody else send an email for the free 30 day unlimited subscriptions for toontown and POTCO? I did this the day it came out and never got an email back...did anyone else? Thanks for the help!

It's silly. They cancel a game that they could do pay-to-play, for a 30 DAY FREE trail that they never get back to you on.
They expect you to pay, obviously, if they don't reply within another week.

Hmm... I sent an e-mail last thursday, and haven't gotten a reply..

I heard that they send it to your account e-mail, not the e-mail address you sent it to them from (If it's not the same)

but i have recieved no e-mails from VMK on either e-mail..

also.. do they give you a 1 month code, or do they set up a new account? Because i've been playing on the free account, and really wouldn't like to start all over...

So far I have sent 3 e-mails the first was on the first day the trials were posted the second was last thursday, and just sent one yesterday asking if they even got the first 2 beacause I haven't heard a thing and I am getting annoyed. I also hope they give a code because I also have a free account i've had it about 4 months and I don't want to start over.

I have similar problems like this before where I cancel an account and then a couple weeks later, they charge me again. I just contact them and they fix the problem.

Great job Disney. I never got a reply. This tells me that you lied. Well, II was going to but POTCO for a yer after my trial, but now I won't at all. I will probably let my annual passes expire, instead of getting them again. Great, Disney, you have now lost most of my bussiness because you lied, and this is not the first time, either. Though if they e-mail me soon, I will forgive them. But lying about this, teasing us, how stupid.

I think that the e-mail they gave us was not one like the infamous "Black Hole". It was a real e-mail address so they have to send them out manually.

I haven't gotten mine either.. but if you check out this other thread (I'll post the link at the bottom) it said that they are going to send out the 30 day subscriptions to everyone at the same time. So maybe that's why we haven't gotten it yet.

This is really getting ridiculous first they take vmk away, then they offer trials for other games getting everyone excited, only they don't contact anyone about the trials. How very rude of disney. I have emailed the three times about the trials and till nothing. Disney is really disappointing me right now.

Here is what I heard. Someone contacted a WDIG staff member and asked about the trials. they said they may come out soon, they need to read the e-mails and generate and send the codes.

Personally I think they should just have the same thing they did on the VMK site. by just clicking the link, just make the code valid for a month instead of a week

What they did on the site though was before toontown's free accounts never expired. it would be harder to make it so that it gave a paid account for a month. also, people who didn't play VMK could use the link.


sorry if there where other threads on this, I haven't been back here since VMK closed. i moved over to toontown and asked on the forums for them. they regarded me as weird for asking about such an "outrageous" thing.

Really? I thought it was just me, but I did it the day it came out. I also sent a support ticket, but I did it to the toontown support (because vmk support should be handling this, and they aren't). I called toontown today and spoke to them for over 15 min!!!
Explained how many have requested free passes and how saddened disney fans are at not receiving them.
THE FREE PASSES are coming!!!
They had no idea the response they would get and are making this right. :-)
I guess each one has to be entered seperately.
And they have to enter all before giving them out so they dont miss someone.
Well gl to u all going on toontown it is fun and im sorry about disney's delay.
Hope u all enjoy it, I like seeing my vmk friends there. Meet a friend on game alittle bigger than you to help u and work together it is easier starting out.
GL and im glad disney is following through for my vmk friends. :wave2:

I waited until the 31st of May to ask for a 30 day subscription to toontown, but I still haven't gotten a reply, it says the offer is until July 15, does that mean if we don't get anything by then, we won't get anything at all?

EDIT:It's probably the same, Cookies, but if you want to be sure, you can always call the Pirates people

The only date provided with this offer is that you must contact VMK by July 15. Where are you getting the end of August date? Even if this is fact waiting 90 days for them to make good on their offer is unacceptable in my opinion.

(Imaginary quote) Ok, yeah, we're closing VMK, you can go try some of our other games, but in order to see what they're really like, you're going to have to pay just like everyone else.
Really, you should be a bit grateful for the offer, they're trying to be nice, and think of it, how many people were reported to be "active" toward the end of VMK? I heard in the ten thousands, now I'm sure that not all of them applied, but think of it this way: You having to send emails to 5000 different people (possibly the same asking for more than one) while getting hate mail/email and phone calls bugging them about WHEN people are going to start getting their FREE month memberships

To the poster above you, why should we be grateful for the offer? You make it sound like Disney is bending over backwards for their former VMK players. Why shouldn't they? Thousands of us invested some part of our day for 3 years not to mention the money we invested in the Disney label. They should be bending over backwards to appease the consumer not to mention they should have had a plan in place to make good on this offer immediately upon making it not have the consumer wait 3 months. Poor planning on Disney's part once again.

With an unlimited account it is like having a paid account. You can do anything in the game that someone with a paid account can do. They have free accounts but there are limits on what you can do.

its unlimited access of the game, no limited use of playing quests, you unlock everything and have access to stuff that basic access players dont

have I received unlimited access on my Pirate. Others that have sent an
e-mail have also not heard anything back.

Can you please give me my 30 days of Unlimited Access that was promised?
Or at the very least respond to the e-mails everyone sent?

they've been changing the fine print... at first it said nothing about receiving codes until August, then they changed it to saying that we will get it by then, after about a few weeks they have removed it. so now we dont know what to believe. and some people will think Disney is unreliable.

I noticed that. I don't usually even click email links, I just remember the email. After waiting a while for the correct spelling, vmk@disneyonline.com, I tried the wrong spelling. That didn't work. My friend said he knew VMK_Shorty's email address, but that didn't work of course. Just a few more days before I'm completely against Disney:DUnless they decide "Here's your almost late unlimited access to POTCO! We are sorry if we have bothered you in any way whatsoever, so we would like to provide you with 90 days instead of thirty!"...like that would happen...

Oh am I furious!!! I sent in my entire family's list of players the day VMK closed. What do I get today via email? One code that was it, to cover an entire family of players. What am I suppose to tell my family? Just when I thought I could trust Disney Online again they poke me in the eye. Shame on them.
