Sign up starts today and the game goes live in two days.

Kind of confusing how it works but it looks like VMK on Nintendo DS.
Detals are still sketchy but if you buy Narnia Prince Caspian for Nintendo DS you get free virtual stuff to dress up your characters with, just like VMK.

Pre-registration started today I believe and the flying blimp on the page says going live in 2 days.

From the way I understand it and I could be HUGELY wrong, this is their new concept for an online gaming community.
It is free!
It is supposed to be available via your PC OR your Nintendo DS. To use your Nintendo DS you have to get the software (game cartrige) which at this time is to be bundled with the new Narnia: Prince Caspian game. IF you preregister before it goes live AND you get the DS software you will receive the BONUS clothing. IF you just play on the web I believe you are not eligble for the BONUS. IF you register (either via PC or DS) after it goes live you do not get the bonus.

What we do not know at this point is if there will be games to play or if it will be a portal/hub to their other online games. I thinkthe concept is supposed to be similar to come of the Mii channels currently available on the Nintendo Wii system. Again I am specualting but I am hoping I am right. If Nintendo had jumped in I am hopeful that this is a long-term project and not a "promotion". ;)

I think the True Friend code is similar to the friend codes you share on the DS systems for wireless play. I can only hope it is a Dictionary similar to VMK and not the speed chat that TT has. :)

I also wonder if this will tie in at all with the Magic Kingdom DS testing they have been doing at the park. Also, I recall that when the POTC DS game came out you could go to the park and download extra treasure over by the POTC ride. Never tried it out so not sure how well it worked.

You don't need a DS to play. In the little guide on the homepage, it says DS to DS or DS to PC.

No! People you are supposed to be able to play on your computer AND your DS.

But to play on the DS you need the right software (game cartridge). Currently the software will be with the Narnia game but in the future I would imagien it will be with other titles.

I tried registering my VMK name "Robert", but it wouldn't let me. So I opted for my original VMK name before I became a leader, RobertSDCA. Hopefully it will get approved. if not, I guess I'll have to try and be a little more original with my choice. :P

It seems to be kicking back anything that has only a potential first name in it. My son tried to get Mariorocks and it got kicked back. Good luck though!

You are all set for now. :) Once the game goes live you will probably have to give your avatar a name OR it will be your D-name. Your password (for now) is what you used to login with your registration id.

PS. It looks like the Dgamer software may also be bundled with the Cheetah Girls:Passport to Stardom and Spectrobes:Beyond the Portals games

OK step 1. Goto Dgamer.com and click where is says to pre-register. You should go to picture 1

Step 2: put in your current VMK login information as you would for logging into VMK

Step 3: it should ask you for a D name, picture 2

Step 4: put in a name

Step 5: you should then be sent to picture 3. congrats you are done, come back in 2 days. :)

If you do not get picture2 then you probably have a D name already. :)

I think that is only available to an "adult account" which I believe is 13+

If you have signed up on Disney XD and already have a D-Name, your D-Name will be that in D-Gamer. I already created "slinkyman" for Disney XD.

It is supposed to be free for web users. ONLY people who want to use Dgamer via their Nintendo DS would have to make a purchase. However, as it has been said that the Dgamer would be included in ALL future Disney DS releases eventually you will own it for free (comes with your game at no additional cost). You certainly do not have to buy the Narnia game in order to play, you can wait for a title you like. :)

It wouldn't let me keep my VMK title either so instead I went with wishuponastarrr. Don't know if it is approved yet.

Now that I have read more about this new game. It sounds to me like a way to make us buy Disney related game for DS to get a code to play this games. Doesn't this sound like VMK, buy buy buy and get free items for your character. I found this in the Internet

My Prince Caspian game is on its way and I'm pre-registered as BestLester. #1 concern: the DS only supports wifi: 1) with no encryption and 2) with weak WEP encryption.

I will test, but I'm really bummed that Nintendo didn't put in Wifi WPA encryption, because I don't want to downgrade my home wireless network.

Bah! Can't get the silly DS to connect to the Hotspot I am sitting at. From what I see on the web there is nothing to do and everyone is just saying "Huh?" in the chat rooms. There are 4 town "areas" with the characters from the homepage you can visit but those seem to be not working. I am hopeful that they will develop with time. I am not happy that I can only have green hair and not green skin. I will keep trying to connect through the DS and see if anything else happens.

In the meantime I will wait for all the "told you so..." ;)

okay I got the Narnia: Prince Caspian DS game, my son has played it and gotton some DGamer rewards. We have set up his avatar on DGamer and are waiting for help logging onto our wireless router in our house. BUT I am wondering why I cannot get on DGamer from the DGamer.com home page. what's the point to making a vmkish game if you need a DS? and you also need the Narnia Prince Caspian game to play it. So Really, it's not a free game if you have to buy a DS and the Prince Caspian game. Prince Caspian really isn't a good game anyway...
