For those users out there with Mule accounts and cannot/refuse to get FireFox, I have found out something for you.

You can sign on to both accounts at once using Internet Explorer. Here's how.

Just click the link. It will take you to the same log in page in a new window, only without the Java scripting that makes the window a certain size, as well as the script that makes the pop-up window refresh itself if you click the Log in button on the main site more than once.

To add what you said, if there is a rule against multiple accounts, the site is normally really good about meantioning that in a fashion where people can understand it.

The only example I can think of off the top of my head is Neopets. It clearly states somewhere in their rules that you can have multiple accounts as long as you don't use it to exploit the daily freebies and games of chance that are scattered throught the site. This is even stated in said games when you load the page.

Besides what everyone else has already replied:
The VMK Central cast members at WDW mention that creating a Born-In-Park character gets you some special items that you can trade to your main character. These special items include some clothes (including black Mickey ears), a pin, and a poster. Your Born-In-Park character also gets one of each of the four types of starting rooms. WDW VMK Central even went as far as turning two of the kiosks around so that the keyboard / screen side was facing another keyboard / screen which makes it easier to play two characters at once.

i have 7.2 and it works fine (except the fact that after playing for around 10 minutes the text starts acting up)

When I went on the vmk tour at Disneyland park,
They encouraged us to create a Born In Park character,
In addition to our regular accounts we may have already made.

Reason:
So we could get the cool in park exclusive items.

I have WindowsXP SP2 Home and Internet Explorer 6. I do it a little differently.

I have the VMK logon page in my favorites. I open the home page and click on Enter Game. That brings up another window with the logon page. Then I go back to the home page window and turn it into another logon page using the VMK logon favorite. You now have 2 logon pages and you can enter two different usernames.

I also get funky text spacing on one of the windows when I do it.

I tried doing your theory, Favorites thing
But, the 2nd window never comes out of the black screen after I login.
Is there a way to avoid this?

It sounds like a computer resources problem more than a failure. I have had to wait up to 5 minutes for the screen to come out of black after the updating is finished, even with only one window open. This has been especially bad in the last couple of days.

With the trading bugs today, long load times, and constant crashes / lost connections VMK is beginning to show its limitations.

That may be, only I have to wait about 3 minutes for the first window, while the 2nd window won't open even after 15 minutes. That is after the logon screen, though :2455:

Does this work if you have a parent and a child account? I have such a setup and want to give the other character somem stuff but cannot get it to work with the instructions. I'm wondering if it is because of the parent/child thing. Would I have to open a separate account using a different email address and such?

i have muled about lets see 30 or 18 times? not sure i was broke yeswter day so i did it lol

I have not seen a post for this situation, but I have run into it so I will post in case it comes up.

Symptom;
You open the first window and login.
When you open the second window from a shortcut on the desktop, it uses the first window. This essentially logs out the first account.

Solution;
In IE go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced tab. In "browsing" section uncheck "Reuse window for launching shortcuts"

Here is a way to tell people in VMK how to do this, line for line;

In the window you are in now for VMK.
In the top left corner of the Internet Explorer window.
Right click and drag the icon to the desk top.
This will make an icon.
Wait till I give the next few steps! Before you go on!
Double click the new icon, and wait
for it to log you in on the new window.
Once that is done, the first window should display
the log in screen.
Now right click on the top left corner and drag that
to the desktop
Delete the first icon, and use this new icon to open
the extra window.

My mules and I do not get along well. I tried to get the explorer outfit from a mule but this time VKM trade was not working for us.

It is tearing up my system and making it hard to use the computer when both are online. What use is it to hve something but the mule is sitting on the item.

I have been trading among my mules today and have had little problem getting two windows open. I use IE6 with WinXP home SP2.

Now trading is something else all together.:mad: Started ok in the Esplanade, then just would not work. Had to move trading to the monorail station.

Basically a "mule" is another character you create just to get credits fast. Once you set up the account, enter all the credits codes, make a credit run, and play each game the first time you should have just over 2000 credits. Then the "mule" buys whatever you would like for your main character and carries (mules) it around until a trade can be arranged.

When i use firefox, VMK does not load even when i am not signing on twice. When i sign both using the mule link, a pop-up message comes up saying that my internet "is sorry" and has to restart again. :confused: Any ideas?

Im okay now, i figured out that if you have MSN internet you have to use the mule link on msn and the normal link on Internet explorer.

all i hit is control+N and it makes a copy of the window.

A mule account is a second account made for one purpose only. that purpose may be to make money, store items you don't want, or even as to play as the other gender. However, every so often, there comes a time when a person may want to trade something from their mule account to their main account.

It depends on what browser you are using. If you could give us what operating system (WinXPHomeSP2?) and browser (IE6SP2?) you are using someone will be able to answer your question.

For the above mentioned:
1) Open the webpage you want to add to favorites.
2) Click on "Favorites" on the top menu and then "Add to Favorites..." on the drop down menu.
3) In the dialog box that comes up change the name (or not) to whatever you want to call the favorite, then pick which favorite folder you want to add it to, and then click "OK".

As I am an avid user of Mozilla Firefox, I set out at once to try and use MFF to play VMK since MFF is literally 30 times faster than Explorer. I've tried multiple times to log in on VMK using Firefox, and the furthest I've gotten is to the blue, round VMK logo on the black screen with no loading bar. I also re-downloaded ShockWave and it says ShockWave was installed for Firefox and Explorer, but nothing changed. So for now I've just given up and use Explorer to play VMK. Are there any techheads that can solve this problem for me?

You will need to let us know what kind of computer (PC, Apple, etc.), and operating system (Win98, WinXP, MacOS, etc.) you are using before we can tell you how to get a screen shot.

Basically you take a screen shot while in VMK, paste it into a paint program, edit it as needed, save it to your computer, and then upload to the website.

To use it as an avatar (the small picture to the left of your username) you would click on "User CP", then "Edit Avatar", and then browse for the picture on your computer.

To use in a message you first must have "You may post attachments" in the "Posting Rules" box at the bottom of your screen. Then below the message space in the "Additional Options" box you would click on "Manage Attachments". In the box that pops up you would put the specifics for the file you want to attach.

actually, i think loading a window then pressing ctrl+N. set up a mule, and if one of the screens go black, go back so that screen is the one you are using and press F5. it works, i do it all the time.

I have Firefox and could not ever get the game to load, always got the black screen in the pop up window. After we returned from our Disney vacation in December, I tried ipening the evil IE browser, and lo and behold, it works only with IE. At least for me. And they were trying to tell me I didn't have the right Shockwave. Bull. It was their refusal to work on anything other than IE.

Sorry to tell you but it works just fine for me. I log on to my account then my daughters and it still works. Not sure why it wont for you but mules will still be created.

some computers have a certain spyware that do not let it pop up and others do not so we get to play so basically that is it!

Also, something easier I think, hit Ctrl and 'N' at the same time when logging in to VMK. This brings up a second log in page. Therefore you can log in with multiple people onto VMK. Try not to get too many people of your own into the kingdom at a time. It could seriously slow down your computer.

1) Click on the following link:
UpdateProfilePage (https://secure.disney.go.com/wdw/myVacation/myProfile/updateProfile?id=UpdateProfilePage)
2) In the Log On box enter the same information you do in VMK for that character.
3) On the left side of the page that comes up click on the "Update Your Information" link.
4) About half way down the profile page that comes up will be the birthdate you used, but it is unchangable.

All I do is save the login page to VMK on my favorites.
When I pull up a new Internet Explorer I just click favorites.
This way I am able to go into as many accounts of mine as i need to.
(I have had up to 3 players logged in at the same time!)
Not sure if this helped anyone.

Ok before i said, when i talk it comes up in a strange font. Can anyone tell me why this happens? Please? I can't understand why it does this. What i do is, i X off 1 screen, then, still playing the other, i talk and it comes up in a strange font. I can attach a picture if needed

Off topic: Sorry if 5 days is too long, I did it and it was considered not spamming once.

For some reason (I suspect the shockwave environment) if you exit (or disconnect / crash on) the first screen that is opened, you will get strange font in the second screen. You can exit from the second screen opened without the font problem happening on the first.

ok if you get the black screen treatment with two of these windows press refresh until it comes back with the vmk emblem!

I made up two accounts too just incase im saving for some thing on my account i always play so the new one will buy stuff for me!! :)

For those users out there with Mule accounts and cannot/refuse to get FireFox, I have found out something for you.

You can sign on to both accounts at once using Internet Explorer. Here's how.

Just click the link. It will take you to the same log in page in a new window, only without the Java scripting that makes the window a certain size, as well as the script that makes the pop-up window refresh itself if you click the Log in button on the main site more than once.

It works fine, and it even has that little lock in the corner so no one can see your password.
Or you could use VMK Pal and get on as many accounts you want at once..

all you have to do is sign in then sign of go to your history and tada

Ok well I just go to vmk.com and that is how I start and I have like 10 accounts on vmk

Actually, there is another way too.

When you get to the log-in screen, click the right side of your mouse.
After - click "create shorcut" and the log-in screen will be on your computer.
You can double click it afterwards, and you have two people on VMK :)
