Part One: Evil's birth.
Chapter One"When will you come back?" Melinda cried.
"Never! I'm done with this house, I'm done with this town, and I’m done with you!" Felix cried.
"But the baby! Think of our baby!"
But he didn't turn around. Not once did he turn around to see his wife holding the small figure wrapped in the blanket she had sown not too long ago.
Melinda looked up and screamed to the sky." Ecantinum Prestige MOMENTUM Siledum!" she cried, as she took the baby and held it up to the sky.
The sky became a deep-red shade and thunder began. The birds flew as fast as their wings would allow them, trying to get away from the farm.
Felix turned around just in time to see the ground open...and Melinda throw herself into it, leaving the baby in mid-air.
Not even his years of training for the Greek Olympics had prepared him for the chase that would soon follow. The sky darkened and the rain began pouring down as he ran back and took a hold of the baby. He had to make sure it was alright, so he opened the blanket covering his face …and screamed.
The baby was blue.... and from its head, blue flames emerged. He fell to his knees and began to pray to the Gods to forgive him and cure his son. But no answer came from the sky. No thunder flashed, no hole appeared…all that came was sadness.
Not even Zeus took pity on him.
⌐Three years later¬
"Hades! Come quickly!" Felix yelled, as he saw the approaching crowd. "Into the house, now!"
"But why? What have done wrong?" Hades asked as soon as he came in.
"Nothing. You have done nothing! It's them; they cannot understand your...condition."
"Oh, I see, Father. Don't worry, after you talk to them everything will be alright!" he said, flashing one of his best smiles at his father.
"I hope so, Hades. I hope so," he said, as he stepped out.
The mob was ever larger than Felix had expected. Surely, he thought, Bartholomeus must be the leader.
And surely enough, a middle-aged man stepped out and took out a long scroll.
"Ehem, listen up! We are gather here today to put an end to the wickedness that should have been taken care of years ago," he cried.
"No, surely you must be joking! You cannot. NO! I won't let you," Felix yelled.
"You dare raise your voice at me?" Bartholomeus cried. "That creature is a danger to itself and to everybody around it! Our greatest fears were confirmed today: The Oracle has been looking for it! We must get rid of it before they reach our town. You should know perfectly about what they are capable of doing, Felix.”
Felix did know what the Oracle was capable of; he had seen it before.
"But she left years ago, surely that MUST count for something! She made him like this; punish her, not my son!"
"Son?" Bartholomeus cried. "You were to marry their daughter, have an heir, and live happily ever after! You broke the contract! Now our lands are doomed - DOOMED! Now step aside, we must do what is best for the village."
"No! Hades, run! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!" Felix cried, as the crowd began to close in.
Hades looked at his father, shed a tear, and began to run.
Just as he began to gain speed, he heard an ear-shattering scream.
And then everything was silent.
