View Full Version : Does anyone have mini game suggestions?
spookymuffin 07-03-2005, 03:43 AM Does anyone have some suggestions for mini player games in rooms that haven't been done much yet? I just won my Haunted Mansion Conservatory room yesterday from the VMK Insider Tour, and I would ideally like to do something neat with it.
I thought about doing a long race sort of thing, where I link at least two of my rooms together via teleporter, but I have no idea how to set up teleporters. What's worse is I don't think I have enough credits for that sort of thing at this time.
My original idea was to use my Haunted Mansion room for well, Haunted Mansion-related trivia. Seat four people around Madame Leota upon her table and those people would be given 5 questions, first person to answer correctly wins. However, a similiar idea is used by HauntedGrim who does Haunted Mansion trivia. So, now I need some ideas! :sadd2: Help??

Teleporters can be expensive, yes. 500 credits for the set of two for the coffin ones (at least they give you both that you need). You can check out the threads on using teleporters for more details, or I'll be happy to answer any questions you have that I can.
For a good game, however, you'll also need some other controling ropes, turnstiles, etc. Yeah, it can add up.

Perhaps consider an interesting take on the guessing games (which, to be honest, I don't quite "get"). A seance based guessing game. First one who can correctly channel Madame Leota's spirit to get the number she is thinking wins. Clues could be given by mysterious actions of chairs or placement of furniture. Perhaps the ghosts will give signals to indicate higher or lower, but the players must figure out what the signals mean?
(I'm brainstorming - perhaps any of this will trigger a brilliant idea with you or someone else.)
Good luck!
shiregirl 07-03-2005, 11:51 AM Also, a quest item which not many people have is the Dice Machine. If you could get your hands on one of those (via trade, I guess, or aren't you going to Disneyland soon? Yay! You can get on on the VIP Tour I think) you might be able to host some pretty cool games. I have several ideas already for that hot little item: now I just need to get my hands on one!

Very awesome idea! I might just take that one. If I'm asked though, I promise I will say you were the one who inspired me. :)
SuperGurl 07-04-2005, 01:15 AM I have the same room that I'm also trying create games for. I named mine the Haunted School of Magic.
That trivia idea is a good one but i did go to a haunted mansion room that had a game like that. He created a trivia game related to the Haunted Mansion Attraction at WDW and DL. It was cool.

I hope you're able to make something great out of this! :) There are refinements needed from my suggestion, and I haven't had the time to run with it. I hope you are.
Just be sure to write up your experiences here when you're done so others can learn from it.
