View Full Version : Amazing thing i just realized
futureimagineer1117 04-12-2008, 12:37 AM Brilliant realization.
Hasn't Disney's motto always been "Dreams come true"? Isn't it the year of a million dreams? Well by closing VMK... they are crushing all of our dreams.
I'm losing my trust in Disney.
EtnaGreen 04-12-2008, 12:48 AM Just like vmk (supposedly) its a promotion to get money. Sure they have to spend money but more people will want to come more often and try to get a pair of those neat ears..
barilekid 04-12-2008, 12:51 AM How Rude Of Them!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think your right Dreams come true?!?! NO!! my dream is to stay with vmk ForEVER:Unhappy:
TheDisneyFan 04-12-2008, 01:50 AM Actually,VMK isn't crushing my dreams just because it is closing. It is the Year of a Million Dreams, VMK was very fun, but it wouldn't have lasted forever.
Something new will probably come, just keep an eye open!
I love the Year of a Million Dreams at Disneyland :)

NOBODY should be caving in, that shows weakness, we need to be strong even passed the day if VMK closes, if VMK closes we should still not give up!
SkyRocket 04-12-2008, 02:04 AM Exactly ;)
Khaki_footed 04-12-2008, 02:14 AM VMK has nothing to do with the Year of a Million Dreams. Which is also ending this year, after being extended. It's also another bit of promotion that has brought more people to the parks. Nobody seems to remember that Disney is a business as well, and in business you have to end some programs to create other programs. When Disney changes a ride or closes one down to introduce another, does everyone lose trust in Disney? How many thought the refurb on Pirates wasn't gonna work? What did people think afterwards? To stay at the top Disney has to keep advancing in all of it's aspects. To do that, they have to drop things over time. I don't want to sound harsh to my fellow players, I just want to help progress the understanding of why this is happening.

Walt liked to take old ideas, and make them better, why don't they do what Walt did, and make VMK better?

Like I said, sometimes you have to drop programs and promotions to create new ones. Some will say, "Keep VMK open, and go ahead and open the other games.". Well from a business stand point, that won't work. To do that you have to hire on more people, and they would never ask VMK staff to stay on VMK and work in another game. Even Disney wouldn't spend the money it would take to run that many games at one time. I'm sorry, but VMK is also not bringing in money now, like it did when they were in the parks. You have to look at the costs to run versus the money being brought in. In the end they would lose money, and they can't have that.
ZooZoo 04-12-2008, 04:49 PM I love VMK. It's free other than Toontown and Club Penguin and POTCO. D: It matters to me if people are happy. Not about the money o.o
