Ok so I hear lots of people are trying to keep VMK open. Good luck on it! I'm trying to keep it open myself, I've been asking my mom if I can send e-mails and calls (she eventually said yes). Well when we are writing a stronly written letter and so on, I don't want them thinking we are joking around. I just thought I would give some tips for those who are making calls and writing e-mails/letters. Please don't take this offensively, I'm only trying to help so they don't think we are joking.
Tips:
1. Always sound professional. Call people by Mr, Ms, or Mrs, or Disney Incorperated if they do not tell you their name. This helps show you mean business
2. Write word out fully. For example, don't write like this: u, r, cya, ttyl, bbl, brb, afk, ect. This shows you are not some silly child or teenager who has spent too much time texting
3. Always express the way you and others feel about this problem. Do not write off-topic. For example: "Im like, so mad vmk is closing! U should reconsider! and toontown, so not cool!" Stay on topic and remain on topic through-out your entire call/e-mail/letter. This shows you know what you are talking about and will not get the reader confused.
4. Let your voice be heard! you do not have to write page after page, or talk your head off, but provide the information they need to know and do not go "uh... um... I forgot." and do not be shy! If you want to be taken seriously, you have to be serious yourself.
5. To help refrain from goofing off, you might want to write a speech before you go talking on the phone or make a rough draft of what you will write in a letter or e-mail so you know exactly what you are going to say/write. As I said before, to be taken seriously you must be serious yourself.
