It has been confirmed! And the third High School Musical movie hasn't even started filming yet and doesn't untill the 21st of April! This is no joke people, I have an article about it but I'll post it later cause I'm typing this from my iPod. They said that not everyone will return because not even zach and vanessa wanted to return for the third one! There will be new a new cast as you can see they're bringing in new people into the third one along with the old cast. They reported that only a few of the old cast members will come back for the fourth installment.


EDIT: Oh, and also, they're not sure if its going to come out in theaters or not. They think that it will come out on TV, but they said it could change.

Like Caterpillar said, we can expect 4 more. Cause now with the new cast, we have to watch them go through High School just like we're doing with the original cast. So we can mostly expect for the High School Musical 6.

I can't see four being as popular because most of the hsm fans have fallen in love with zac and corbin, now that their gone I can see them being very upset and heartbroken. All of the cast have such different peronsalities right now, I dont know if this new cast can compare. but hey if they can act better or sing better I'll like them better. I can't make any promises for the smaller fans.

I saw HSM1 for probably about 25 minutes in some car (I was forced through it) and I wouldn't care if I ever saw any HSM related thing ever, ever again. Nice to get it out of my system.

Personally the story line was nice and interesting. The singing? Killed it all. Why can't there be "high school is not a musical" and the story is this. A whimpy kid [played by zach efron] just starts high school. he thinks that in every class period he can make a song out of it. but after he does the school bully [played by Ben Stien] beats him up for it. how can our main character survive in, "High School is no musical" :D

In High School Musical 3 there are three new kids being introduced to the storyline, and it has been rumored that these three kids, along with others, will take over the continuation of the new series. It seems odd that these three new kids are being advertised so much, and it just seems somewhat obvious that these kids will be taking over the series once the six leads leave for college in High School Musical 3.

HSM3 is the last movie with all of the official cast. The next 4 movies are with the new cast. They already have some of the new cast members in this 3rd coming out.

Pretty soon it will be High School Musical 50 and they will be telling their grandkids about when they beat the West High Nights. You gotta know when to stop.

If you saw 1 of the millions of commercials on DC, Zac and Vannessa are returning. I think they only need 3 movies anyway, there's no point in calling it HSM4 if it's in college.

Vannessa and zac aren't returning in hsm4 because they cant afford zac and vanessa's pay checks(mostly zac's). Although I hope they figure out a way to put Drew Seeley in(maybe as a student teacher?), Lucas Grabeel, or one of the old characters to make the transition to four easier.

I heard that they were introducing some freshmen in the 3rd movie to continue on. I really am not happy that they decided to continue on. I can't stand when people become "money hungry" and drain the magic and creativity out of great Disney stories.

Of course I am going to see HSM3 because it's a new Disney movie, but I doubt I will like it as much as the origanal.

It's going to be extremely interesting without the previous stars to see how well it does, if they get someone like zac efron as the guy lead I can see it doing very well. Now all they need is a younger zac clone.

For the billionth time. In hsm 3 they are going to bring in new sophmores and introduce them to us in hsm 3, in hsm the focus is going to be on the sophmores. Here is some of what the wiki said about the casting of the new sophmores:
