I know a lot of ppl are very sad (some EXTREMELY so) about the end of vmk...i admit that even though i've been ready for it to end and was wondering when that day would come, i feel a bit sad too. BUT, i have to say there was a positive about the closing info that i wanted to share, and was curious if any of you felt a similar thing...
today i was visited by a lot of friends on vmk that i have not seen in a while or spent time with. i think we have all kind of got wrapped up in our own things and the news of vmk closing has hit us. there's some sadness for sure, u can FEEL it on vmk. BUT, i spent a lot of time with buddies today remembering the GOOD times, laughing about the first times we met, and just hanging out. it's been a while since i did that! in fact, i and a couple friends reverted back to the way we looked a few years ago when vmk started just for fun, and it really brought back some fun times...dreams, geggy, cat, red, justcallmesilly, and others, thanks for the fun times :wave2:
i had some ppl in fireworks that i played against but were not friends with come up to me and say hello, and they told me how fun it has been playing fireworks against each other these years...that was really nice, and made me wish i had made friends with more ppl over the years. ppl that i would always see in the fireworks lobby but took for granted (u know who u are ;))....
anyway, for me the news of vmk closing has made the game MORE enjoyable as i catch up with old friends and remember the good times had. and i can't think of a better way to end my gaming experience on vmk--to go out with a roar instead of a whimper! i hope to really enjoy my last month on vmk and hope all of you can too :)
