no toontown isn't buying vmk. vmk is doing toon month so they can get you to join toontown so they can close vmk down.. in my opinion towntown isn't that koolll..

Exactly Disney is just trying to get players excited for the Toontown game so that they can shut VMK down. They think the players will just convert pretty well. But I am not convinced about this. To me Toontown, Pirates, and Club Penquin are nowhere near as cool as VMK. I really hope VMK reconsiders this decision down the road and maybe create a new VMK if this closing goes through on May 21.

Excuse me, I play Toontown. It's not boring. It's actually very fun once you play it for a while.

I tried Toontown and POTCO and didn't like them. Not my cup of tea.
I don't like being told I have to do this or that.
In VMK, you can log in and do whatever you want within the safety rules.

What is there to do in Toontown or POTCO besides doing tasks? You might as well go play your Wii.
In VMK, I can just walk around and do nothing if I want. Or I can just sit in a room and talk to friends. I can even spend all my time playing the mini-games if I want.

I can't play either POTCO or ToonTown on my computer - it needs an upgrade, which I'm not likely to be able to get.

I don't have all that many actual friends in VMK, but I'm sure gonna miss:
The people I know, The newbies I helped, The games I played (win or lose), The players who visited my rooms and rode my rides, The quests I played, The quest I ran, The quests I was designing for the future.....
And most of all, the feeling of community

Well, from my understanding, the game is designed on the game engine created by Sulake.
But all the actual building on top of the engine was done by Disney.

Disney could redesign the entire game on a new game engine.

Nobody says you MUST do the Tasks, you only do them if you want your Toon to progress.
A lot of people just hang out and putz around, maybe fish or race or play the trolley games, or collect welfare -er- mooch at Beanfests.

Err, i find vmk to be boring. im sad its closing like everyone, but im afraid potco and tt are better, although i have xbox live, so i dont play mmorpgs that much anymore

VMK is so much better than the other Disney games. VMK happens to be the only Disney game in which you can trade items. (idk if Club Penguin or POTCO permits trading, but I have seen nothing mentioned about trading in the wiki for either of them; I know ToonTown does not permit trading)

Exactly. I play Toontown and I do like it, but once VMK came out I was much happier with that. I like to earn and collect. You can do that to a limited extent on Toontown (and I've just rejoined after a little over a year being gone so I may be off on my current TT info) but they recycle the "cattle-logs" after awhile and they come out with the same shirts every year on the holidays. The best you can do is send a gift now. But there's no way to trade. And I really don't like the trolley games... I wish we could do our own give aways with a quest machine like on VMK.

why close vmk its the only free game disney had. The only way to make me play toontown ever agian is make it free but like many famous games make f2p and p2p. so most ppl will play it just give f2p a limit and p2p no limit thats a smart idea rite there they should think of using it and club penguin is just stupid theres no point to it really u just wobble around as a penguin that sounds fun lol. i they do shut down vmk ppl should go on strick at disney like not going to disney land or not playing any o here other games and going onto there sites.

I play toontown. It's really simliar to vmk. The 3-day trial is bad, but the real game is awesome.

i like it when im a member but i dont pay, i usually win it from movie rewards
