It's just so sad to look at all of the posts made before the news.. How happy we all were with all the new stuff. At the time we didn't even predict this happening any time soon.

Please don't blame Yavn for this, that is shooting the messenger. Yavn doesn't choose what happens with any online games, Disney does, even though he is in Disney Online Games' Department Management.

I personally do blame Yavn. If you have fire in your heart about something, you will do everything possible to prevent it from happening. I know because i would fight. Thats bad. Disney don't like us anymore. With how many users that play VMK are mad and wont go back to any Disney park. Disney could fall to the ground!

I am sorry for the unfortunate announcement of VMK closing forever. VMK has also been a day to day life experience for hosts and staff at Disney. If there was something we could do about this inconvenient choice, we would. But simply, if we tried, we would more or less be ignored. Disney has made up their mind. I'm sure that if they see how many people have signed this petition, they will make something simliar to VMK, but their decision as of now is final. Again, I am terribly sorry to all of you gamers. We truly only wish for the best in hopes of VMK remaining open, but we also doubt the decision. Now, I must bid this petition signing adeu to catch the monorail before it leaves. -Yavn

It all makes sense now. The taking away of the park quest. The downhill host games. Hula has been gone. How the TCG still hasn't been released. The decrease in staff. The taking away of the Movie Rewards.


I have a feeling they have been preparing for this for quite some time and everything that will come out within the next month will all be the things we have waited for for so long.

I also noticed vmk wasn't the nicest place before the news. Now it seems that nobody cares about ranks anymore (rich or poor). Everyone is weeping together, putting our differences aside.

Well vmk goes up and down on rollercoasters, the big quest made people amd, they new itmes made people happy, now this made people really sad and i doubt it'll change :( save vmk peeps

Exactly, I had observed this too, and thought the same thing. We should have seen it coming, and maybe even prevented it if we have done something sooner, but probably not. Maybe, just maybe, it got out and thats how those rumors were created..and also, has anyone seen him drop tiny hints in the last newsletter about this?

I was one of those people who started a thread. My belief was that VMK wouldnt be around in a few years (not months) due to lack of population. Janurary and Feburary really didnt have much to offer. Signing up in late December I didnt know what t be used to. I knew that all they were doing to rereleasing old stuff, which was a real boar to verteran members, and the population was dwindling. But then march came along and I saw so much released, so many events. They would have 8000+ people signing on. When I had made my thread I was seeing half that. It made me think that VMK was finally on track. Then april came and all these wonderful new items, and I couldnt wait to see what next week would offer. :Unhappy:

another clue should have been all the free trials to their pay to play games. try these out, so you can see how great they are. what a way to get ppl involved, so they can turn a profit

Thats not a clue to their closing. March being POTC month, April being Toon Town month, that was all just marketing. I see it no different than the Hanna Montanna posters they put up. They felt that if you like VMK you might also like fill in the blank.

Walt Disney's Disney isnt the same as todays Disney. Today its run and owned by several different people and they also have to answer to the shareholders. Shareholders want to see a profit, and if they knew that Disney was keeping something that was statistically unprofitable, the would demand a change.

Personally, I think they were waiting for the slightest chance of weakness to pull the plug, and all those quest hate mail did it.

I never saw this coming at all , but i see maybe why they did this. Toontown and pirates online and even clubpeguin, you have to pay for those, so Disney makes money, but VMK is totally free so it was probly shut it down or make ppl pay because they want to make a profit. Like pirate month and toon month. all advirtising for other online games. ( not that i agree with this) but its what i think. i dont want to blame Disney but they did make thsi choice..

It totally agree maybe even if they could unlimited credits bc then all our dreams we wanted to come true would.BUt I do really feel Disney is letting us down a tad.
